You can sack that movie one off I was going to do, for starters.
-
Has Fantasy Booker finished yet as well?
Â
I reckon we should have a break off lists and competitions and stuff for a bit when those which are underway end.
Â
If there's only going to be an other couple of people who enter the Argumental challenge I'll cut it straight down to the best eight instead of prolonging it for the sake of it.
-
Have Jericho and Orton ever had a high-profile feud together? I'm sure they have but I just can't seem to put my finger on it.
-
Isn't there the Argumental challenge to get though as well which is underway? And the battle raps?
Â
I'm guessing the Argumental thread will take about three weeks from now to get through if it's any help.
-
Well I think you should be banned for that hand-wringing, toadying apology. Grow a spine.
Â
Burn me at the stake.
-
Apologies for the thread. Ironically I was starting them to try and cut down on all the ongoing list threads by having all the discussion take place in one thread.
Â
I'll wait until the year 3000.

I have no problem with people who wish to be vegan/vegetarian but it is one of my absolute pet hates when said people think that it gives them a right to jump on some meat-free pedestal whereby they're better than the rest of us. I'm pleased that you gave him that reply, Thunderplex, good work. It made me laugh

What is the regarded to be the best episode of wrestling television (non-PPV) ever?
-
Is Terry Funk up to anything of note these days?
-
This is the internet at its very best. The 1992 Royal Rumble in high quality and its entirety. No need to even click on the next part, it's just the one video. I'm meant to be picking up the other half from a night out in town, but after that discovery she can hail a cab.
-
Can somebody please link me to the off-topic Iconic Images thread, I can't seem to find it.
-
Hi guys,
Â
Is there any list of WWE PPV buyrates? I googled it but could not find anything
Â
Thanks in advance!
Â
Ian deserves credit for this as it was originally his reply to the same question I had asked.

I watched Small Soldiers last night after picking it up in Tesco for
-
One worth mentioning from a few years back was one Friday night when I was in town (Canary Wharf infact) for a good old random piss up with a girl who used to go to my school, had nothing else on so thought fuck it and went with her and her workmates and booked a room in the IBIS (more on this later), anyway it was one of the worst nights of my life, her friends were proper city yuppies and was bars/clubs were quite shit too so up until this point it was a high contender for one of the worst clubbing nights of my life.....until.....one of the girls in the group (who was fucking fit) was sitting down in the corner of the club all upset, so I thought id do the decent thing and talk too her, she was completely off her face and have never seen a girl in the state she was, I think someone actually spiked her she was that clueless, tears running down her face the whole lot, anyway took her into the (mixed toilets) to clear herself up and next thing I know she was all over me but before anything could happen the club was closing so then I had to work out a way to get her out of the toilets, out of the bar/club, into a taxi and back to the hotel without her friends knowing (I knew that as soon as her friends caught wind of the state she was in then my chances of getting off with her would be over and that would add more misery to what was a shit night anyway).
Â
So by this point I was already pre-planning and thinking of ways to do this knowing that at any moment if we were seen then the game would be up, I actually felt like a mental killer/rapist but then thought that because of the state she was in that it would be far better with me taking advantage then some of the other type of blokes hanging about in the club so in all fairness I had her best interests at heart as well and of course I wanted to smash it (As Richard Keys would say).
Â
Anyway I managed to get out of the club without being seen and to a taxi point, how on earth we didn't see anyone at this point I never know because a few of us were staying in the same hotel and there was a good 20 or so people in the group, there was this one guy who kinda knew us from the group but managed to convince him that we was going in a separate direction and off he went, thank god for that I was thinking. So I got her into a cab and 5 minutes later arrived at the Ibis Docklands hotel, then came my next problem...she wouldn't get out the cab, she was in tears going on about all sorts and the minicab driver was trying to usher her out the cab but she just went mental and told him that she's going to stab him up and all sorts and kept telling me to stay in the cab, so after about 10 minutes and a few hugs and nice words I got her out the cab (she broke her heel on her shoe at this point so had to carry her into the hotel), got her up to the hotel room and then couldn't even find the keycard....so told her to stay put outside the room until I came back so went downstairs to reception, had to wait what seemed like ages and saw her friends and the group all at reception, had to give them the nod and pretend I was alone, got the keycard and back upstairs to the room, by this point she was almost passed out but just about awake so got into the room and smashed the shit out of her.
Â
Then about an hour later laying in bed with her next to me I had this vision of her waking up half way in the night and screaming rape or something so had to pretty much ring my girlmate and tell her that her mate was in my room and that I found her in a right state so did the gentleman thing and took her back to my room to calm down so early hours of the morning she went back to one of the girl rooms and my night was probably something I'll never forget again, it was great, she was a proper yuppie posh girl who turned a bit mental but loved every second and turned out to be a decent night after all.
Â
Next morning I remember looking out the window and seeing her jump into her mates car, she looked like she hadn't a clue what happened the night before, her mates never really liked me afterwards so they probably knew what happened but in all truth I still think I did the right thing in at least taking her somewhere safe otherwise she could of ended up anywhere, I remember looking at her phone and seeing about 27 missed calls from someone called Danny which was probably her fella or something.
Â
I won't mention a nearly one night stander with a fat bird, that gives me nightmares to this day but luckily I passed out before anything serious could happen, I felt sick for months after that nearly event.

The Gatso rape revelation was at the beginning of 2011, though I had to think twice about it. It was during an otherwise-nondescript off-topic thread I created and I only really started posting here from the beginning of last year.
Â
I understand the argument against voting Gatso here, but I must pick up on the points raised about him not posting on here anymore. If memory serves he was beginning to post more regularly at around the time of his ban and I just have the feeling that that wasn't the last we saw of him.
Â
The worst thing is that there's a strong probability that we have a rapist lurking on here, under an unknown alias.
-
I went with air_raid as he has made some terrific contributions all year. I asked a question in spring time regarding who was the greater wrestler, Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair, and the reply raid gave was stunning, one of the best replies I've ever seen on here.
Â
I'm glad TheBigBoot got recognition, though it's a shame he doesn't post more often.
-
Not particularly a news item as such but anyway. Taken from PW Torch, these are the average Impact ratings from the past five years:
Â
2007 - 1.05 rating (expanded to two hours late 2007)
2008 - 1.06 rating
2009 - 1.15 rating
2010 - 1.06 rating / 1.11 rating Thursdays
2011 - 1.17 rating
-
Ah, I was of the assumption that only the paid members got to vote as well. Fair enough.
-
Would I get into trouble for starting a posters' award thread voted for by non-paid members?
-
I've just seen in the FSM thread that John Morrison has been released. I've completely missed any mention of this, is there any sort of story to it?

2) The Miz's "Hate Me Now" pre-match promo video at Wrestlemania.
Â
I wouldn't nominate quite this myself, but how brilliant was that package? It was awesome, it made The Miz look a huge deal to any casual fans. It was even better than the CM Punk one before his MITB match, which was also fantastic.
Â
Good shout, A Screen Up. If there was a Video Package Of The Year, this would win. Turned Miz into a true main eventer in my eyes.
Â
In all honesty Gladstone, watching that video at the time was probably the highlight of the year in wrestling for me. It was bang on, I was loving wrestling at the time and The Miz went from a wanabee to bona-fide star in that one video package in the eyes of most fans. I loved it.
-
Where's Ian been at lately?
-
WWE Royal Rumble
WWE Elimination Chamber
WWE Wrestlemania
Â
(I've not seen MITB yet.)
-
1) Triple H's Tombstone on Undertaker, Undertaker kicks out.
2) The Miz's "Hate Me Now" pre-match promo video at Wrestlemania.
3) Triple H/Undertaker's Raw promo (where they didn't say a word).
