What was the thinking in having Santino Marella as one of the final two in the Rumble 2011? I haven't ever seen the event to be honest, but I assume once it came down to the final two, it would have been obvious that Del Rio would have won?

What makes you fed up of the US title? Renaming it won't change it's place on the card or the people who fight over it. I never said that your scenario would happen either, I was only suggesting that it makes more sense having Rusev keep the US title.

 

I read this a lot online, there's so many people desperate for the European championship to return and replace the US title, like it's going to cause some sort of boom period or something.

 

It'll still be the lower-card title no matter what it's called. I'm not having a go at you or owt, just curious to know what difference the Euro title would make.

 

I said above that it's purely nostalgic on my part. I know most people won't share the same warm feeling that the Euro title gives me.

 

Anyway, I also said that they should eventually get rid of the Euro title too, I'd just like to see it given one last run for old times sake.

 

I just think two mid card titles is too many. I would rather they put more effort in developing meaningful feuds over the Intercontinental title.

I'd only bring back the Euro title for nostalgic reasons.

I'd have Rusev win the US title and just retire it/re-christen it the Russian Title or something to that effect. At least for a while you can then have an actual midcard title in the form of the IC belt, and the US Title be a prop to get Rusev extra heat. Fuck it, have Rusev 'melt down' the US title into a trophy to carry round or something to that effect as a way to retire it.

 

Have Rusev win the US title then come out at the next night's Raw and state that he is bringing back the European title. We never see the US title again.

 

Have a little programme of feuds with fellow Europeans over the title before eventually having a unification match with the Intercontinental title.

But that's not now is it. One being an agent and one working as a trainer in NXT, both jobs working closely with Trips and which he probably brought them in for, means what was said in the past means less than fuck all. It's all about the now, and now they're very much part of the family.

 

Well yeah,  as I said they may well have patched things up.

 

But they certainly had a strong dislike or hatred for him based on what they said there.

 

The fact they're back in the WWE means fuck all as to whether they're his pals. They're there to pay their bills.
