  1. Fair play but do you not think Magnus has a decent wage than prob is more than the undercard of ROH?

What you say makes sense in that the over guys in ROH but is it not the same in TNA?(i.e the guys they are big on they look after,i mean Magnus is One of them)

  2. FSM Exclusive: Magnus Earns Improved TNA Deal

Fighting Spirit Magazine is delighted to confirm that our monthly columnist, Nick "Magnus" Aldis, has re-signed with TNA Wrestling.

"I'm very happy to confirm that I have signed a new two-year deal, on improved terms. It came down to the wire between TNA, myself, and my agent, but ultimately we came to a mutually beneficial agreement," Aldis said in a statement to FSM.

"I'm really excited about the new structure and more streamlined team. It's important to know that while some people may be moving on, TNA is focusing on their priority guys. Simply - earn your spot, and be rewarded. I can only speak for myself, but my career has steadily progressed financially throughout my entire time with the company."

Indeed, TNA has recently been criticised for, under various circumstances, allowing the likes of Bruce Prichard, DOC, Tara, Doug Williams and Jesse Sorensen to depart the organisation. FSM is also aware of at least one high-profile TNA contract offer that has been verbally dismissed by the employee in question.

On the bright side, FSM can confirm that top talents Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode have also signed new deals with TNA, adding credence to Aldis' suggestion that recent roster and behind the scenes changes are more of a case of streamlining of talent rather than dropping contracts out of financial necessity.

    Spill the beans then Brian?

Must say, I enjoy FSM, but those Magnus articles are so shite. He comes across as the biggest nob in wrestling. Such politically fueled bollocks. You'd think he was playing for Man United and you should be happy you work there the way he talks about other wrestlers complaining about the horrendous way TNA treats their wrestlers.

I can't believe he is wasting his time in TNA. Surely WWE would take him? He is constantly improving and isn't totally shite like when he first debuted. I can only assume no WWE deal was on the table as staying with a company as horrid and unstable as TNA right now is surely a bad move. Then again, he does get to wear a suit to work now.

But he definitely comes off like a dick in FSM. The last few months have been especially annoying for me personally. Its still better than Alex Shane. But only just.

He is hardly wasting his time is he?

Yeah ok its not WWE where the big Money gets earned but as he states he is making more than he was last year.

You say TNA is a horrid company, other than WWE where if you are a Wrestler right now would you rather work?

(Please don't say ROH as I have a cough this week and laughing that hard may give me a fit)

  3. Impact was really good a few months back but recently it has become so fucking stale its unreal

The Aces n Eights shit is just boring now,90% of the group are job squad material.

As much as I enjoy the Bound for Glory series it kinda shows off every match TNA can provide and thus I give even less of a shit about the PPVs than I did before.

The X Division is a piece of shit, the 3 way match rules kill off any chance of a feud building any story at all.

Plus the talent is thinner than my Hairline (believe me that's thin)

I really want to enjoy Impact and will still watch it but a lot of changes need to be made

  4. Without giving too much away...The rebranding of Suicide has to be the most pointless thing I have seen in a long time

Well no, it makes plenty of sense, marketing-wise. Remember, when they brought his figure out, they couldn't even stick his name on it, due to the obvious connotations.

    DI%201%20Suicide.jpg

The re-naming of the character makes a lot of sense but the way they did it (show him unmasked and then just have Hogan announce that he's changed his name) didn't make any sense.

That's the point I was making so yes

Yeah I understand to shift Action figures ect that need to change his name, but we know who is under the mask so now the mask is pointless.

Would have been better to bring in a new masked character

  5. In one of the strangest things I've ever seen here's an Eric Embry promo from Memphis. Embry talks about how Leatherface is no myth and that he's coming to Memphis. And he's coming for Jerry Lawler. Usually when a new wrestler comes to a territory, the manager or man behind it asks to roll a tape of a promo or footage of the worker in question. Here though, they play clips from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Leatherface chopping up bodies while the girl is hanging from a meat hook. As if Gunner Hansen is planning on coming to the Mid South Coliseum to wrestle the King. Embry builds this up like Leatherface is coming in to murder the King and eat his face. What a mad angle.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy7AnVznVFo

Low and behold, there he is. To their credit, fans are screaming for the King not to die or get smashed in the head with a hammer or have his finger sucked on by Grandpa Sawyer, but its quite lame. Wrestling promotions never have been able to pull off a decent Leatherface. The masks always look shit, and they never have a fat bloke under the apron. He's either skinny with a shite mask or short with a half decent mask. I've seen some Leatherfaces who wear their t-shirts they are planning to flog at the gimmick table later on in the night. And that just isn't staying true to the gimmick.

    I loved watching this

Only in Memphis could you get away with pulling shit like this and still get great crowd reactions

Lawler is a master of his craft,no doubt about it

  6. Thats him Astro

Was pretty decent in ring if i remember rightly

I saw the twitter account and it does give you the impression he is no longer around :(

I remember the show had a fake Papa Shango too ,The Witch Doctor

  7. Does anyone on here remember a Wrestler from the late 80s/90s called Randy Rhodes?

I ask as i remember seeing him at a show in around 91/92 in Ilford promoted by WOW Wrestling(Peacock Gym)

I recall seeing him in the classic jobber role on shows like Primetime ect

I guess thats how they got away with claiming they had WWF stars on the card that night

He wrestled a guy that was meant to be Battle Kat

He had a fantastic Blonde mullett and a tash that was grown for porn

The internet is not giving much info but what i can see is that he may have passed away due to Cancer

    Anyone?

  8. In reality, Jill Kelly's probably about 50. About 95% of stars that emerged in the early 1990s lied about their age.

Jill would still be great if she started doing porn again i think but yeah id agree with that

I can only wait for the day enough cash is thrown at her (and Christy Canyon)to do a few scenes

  9. How come you met her if you dont mind me asking? ;)

Houston had a book signing, Jill tagged along, and I went.

And if you won last weeks lotto can i be your Butler please?

If I won silly money I'm not sure I'd need a butler to bring me coke and whores, but you could dig my grave for me. Reckon you'd have about two weeks to get it finished from the minute the BACS transfer hit my account.

A man after my own heart

If i ever hit the jackpot i shall be sure to pm you Raid

  10. Yeah i agree thats a good idea and a far better use of the cam itself

Though lets be honest its the last thing TNA needs to tamper with

The crew there seem to have their shit together after years of panning to blade jobs ect.

Kudos for trying to revamp the X div but it all sounds abit gash.

What with the ref cam and the 3 way rule,to me its just TNA trying to cover up a lack of talent in 2013 in the ring

I think the last PPV proved that much

  11. I remember being over the Moon when i got that on VHS,esp as it was my first WCW PPV i ever brought.

I was baffled as to why it took Foley so long to flick a switch that was right in front of him.

This and the really shit elbow Hacksaw Duggan gave Macho King whilst tied in to the ropes at SS89(never quite touched him)were the first real strong seeds sown in my head saying "hey maybe my ol man is right, this shit aint real"

Anyway like the match the ref cam was shite
