  1. Just got round to watching the 11th Anniversary show last night, What a steller event! Top to bottom was probably ROHs best event since Best In The World 2011. ROH defiantly has improved since Jim Cornette left, Going in the right direction by bringing in lots of new young up and coming talent. Taven and ACH are defiantly ones for watch out for. TV show has improved loads, NOAH talent Marufuji and Ishimori are coming to ROH at Border Wars. Using NJPW gajins like Hooligans and Karl Anderson. Seems like they are taking steps to get back to the glory days of 2005-2007

Defo echo this - I loved the end segment :)

  2. I don't think they should , it was important

I agree. They shouldn't ignore that era. However, they have ignored those reigns in recent times. They've claimed Roode was the longest reigning World champion in company history and thus completely ignored Jarrett's record. They've done it with the Tag Titles too - they have ignored AMW's NWA record and claimed Beer Money were the longest reigning tag champs in company history. So it's safe to assume they'll likely ignore the NWA reigns again.

EDIT - But also, like Carbomb pointed out, a lot of the NWA champs aren't available or suitable for the PPV. And besides, they've got enough former TNA World champions on the current roster to make this tournament work without having to bring in other people.

Ah didn't realise them stats , shame on them

  3. For anyone interested Jonny Storm is on this weeks art of wrestling and talks about how Shane and Scarlo tried to stop him and Jody Fleisch going to America for there tour in 2002 for Czw Roh etc, threatening to stop them at the airport and spreading rumours they were flying themselves out there.

Yeah he recorded it at Southside's Opportunity Knocks :)

  4. 7:00pm - TNA Heavyweight Title Tournament: The top World Champions in TNA history battle to determine the greatest of all time

If it's TNA title only, that's some combination of Angle, Sting, Joe, Styles, Van Dam, Anderson, Hardy, Storm, Roode and Aries (Foley presumably not there) which sounds like quite the show.

Is there any chance Christian would be in that? Was there not talk that he had another TNA appearance lined up at some point?

I'd rather not see him doing a one-shot in TNA again, if his last one was anything to go by. Just showing up and going through the motions isn't much fun to watch.

Just to clarify, they haven't confirmed it is TNA title only and not the NWA champs as well. Can't really see any of the NWA era guys coming back -- Jarrett would be the main one, and I'd assume he'd come back on a "proper" show with a build-up.

I'd really want to see Jarrett in it , hasn't he won the TNA title more than anyone else ?

  5. Does anyone know the status of Wyatt? Is he still injured or are they happy to continue with him in a non-wrestler role? I like the Family gimmick but I enjoyed Wyatt more on his own, cutting promos on the way to the ring before squashing fuckers in seconds. It'll be interesting to see what they do with him if they call him up, I doubt the WWE think the Universe have the the smarts to get a relatively complex gimmick like that.

Some promising guys on the roster and the thing I like about it is that the WWE jobbers that turn up on it usually get beaten, establishing the guys credibility.

Despite his size I still think Cory Graves could be major player in the future. He's the most distinctive looking guy to come along in years, he's like the dodgy fuck leering at you from the back of the night bus. He's someone you can relate to the real world, which is what they need at the moment. Plus the chicks will go gooey for him.

Good to see Neville doing well although it's a shame he'll likely be lost in the shuffle of the undercard when he comes up. It'd be great to see a flashy high flyer get a solid mid card role.

I agree with regards to Corey Graves , just has a real unique look and attitude about him which seems to be popular.

  6. Indeedy! He was featured in the Destination X tournament to crown a new champion. I loved him.

Yeah, me too. He had a good look and the name was something fresh. He was like a better version of Suicide. He had a match on Impact aswell, shame we never got more.
I thought he was great as well , have had a couple of fans begging me to book him lol
  7. She was on the road a few weeks ago. Meltzer said she "wasn't that good" from what he seen of her, although that doesn't stop them from calling women up. No idea if they are high on her or not. Seems a bad time to be called up, what with AJ taking up a large portion of the main show.

What the fuck was he watching? She seems pretty crisp in the ring from what I've seen and has as much, if not, more charisma than AJ or Eve. Though the accent won't do her any favours i guess.

Yeah, she seems really good all around so it's a bit strange that Meltzer doesn't see much in her. She's far ahead of most of their women at the in-ring stuff, and I should add I'm basing this just on NXT matches as I don't think I've seen her wrestle in the UK before (might be wrong though). Her accent shouldn't be that big of a deal, unless you just mean the fact that she's British? She has a rather neutral accent so the Yanks should have no problem understanding her. Quite a sexy voice actually.

I also agree with your earlier assessments of some of the NXT lot. Bray is excellent and I love everything about his gimmick so far, and Leo Kruger is indeed a useless goon with a silly voice and face. Utterly boring wrestler too.

I think she has looked great but you can see she is working WWE style , I know for a fact there is a hell of a lot more she can do - and do very very well - she is an amazing talent !

  8. Is the Death of WCW worth reading? Or is it the same old "Russo killed it" stuff you can hear elsewhere? Is there much insightful content?

I thought it was really great , it wasn't a Russo hatchet job IMO

  9. I know this might come across sounding a bit arrogant, but any chance this could get moved into UKFF Gold for future reference, like the 2006 and 2007 editions? The 2008 and 2009 versions have now been lost, unfortunately.

Also, with the nomination process for the 2011 version due to start, as always, next month in June, what are people's thoughts on the way it should be carried out and presented this year?

    E.g.-

Another shit list to go with it?

    No shit list at all?

    Separate shit list?

    Thanks.

I really appreciate the work that you put in Benny and love the ukff top 50 but I personally think that the shitlist shouldn't be included , I just feel there is no need for the negativity.
