  1. At the moment my Celtics are all over the place, good performence, bad performances, IT looked like utter shite last night, we're starting terribly but finishing up well. I know it's early season but I'm seriously hoping we sort it out sooner than later cos at the moment we don't even know our starting 5. By the way Cody Zeller is the absolute shits. Good God he sucks at the moment. Brads dropped him currently.

Also they where speaking about the Nets on Celtics postgame live, man did we really screw them with the KG/Paul Pierce and Jason Terry deal a while back. Still yet to win a game. And there's a good chance they'll go 20 losses before they get a win in regards to their upcoming schedule. Fuck me not a good time to support them eh?

  2.

    Megadeath.

    Ahem. Are you Ziggler?
I don't understand that reference other than the fact I spelt Megadeth wrong lol.

That's the reference. Ziggler came out in his denim patch jacket which had a Mis-spelt Megadeth patch on it

    Ah right. Cheers for clarifying.

Still proper shite announcement that IMO. As pointed out earlier, this is a short term solution not a long term. When all these repeat bands fuck off in the next few years (invetiable) Download are fucked.

  3. Added a 3rd and a 4th date Truth, due to the 'unprecedented demand.' Sorted out 8 tickets 4 of those are for my dad's mates mind. Cant wait though. Should be superb. Where'd you end up buying from Truth? Got ours through eventim and seetickets. Although seetickets was useless this time round and I normally rate it as one of the better ones!

  4. Frank Carter added to Sum 41/Kerrang Tour. Glad I sorted tickets for that now as recently got into Franks 'blossoms' album which is really fun.

I'm off to see Happy Monday's with my dad this evening. Last minute buy that. Not the biggest fan but should be a decent piss-up and you can't beat a bit of Step On can you?

  5. Your taste in general gears more towards the heavier stuff though right Ebb? Brought up on Stone Roses by my Dad for years so to me this is huge.

Anyone got tips for getting tickets on Friday? Been years since I've had to buy for a show that I know will instantly sell out]? (Standing wise)

  6. Speaking of being drawn to shit teams this year out of curiosity how did you all choose your basketball teams? Obviously over here with Football/Rugby etc it's generally your dad's team or local team. But doesn't quite happen for the NBA unless you're actually from the States.

I started it following about 2011/10 only due to a friend in high-school supporting the Celtics against the large Filipino contingent we had at my school who all supported Lakers. Plus the Celtics colours/name matched my football team 'Celtic's.' Plus they where starting to slowly lose momentum so seemed a perfect fit.

I also follow Magic and hope they do well purely due to the way they treated myself and family as a Make A Wish in 2012, sorted us out with seats that where something in the range of $250 - 300 a go, letting me do the high-fives on court, meet the coach at the time, listen in to the ref speak to the two players going for the tip-off, chat with some of the players and just generally one of the most incredible experiences ever.

  7. Seen Creeper and Boston Manor play Southampton last night. Boston Manor where pretty rubbish. Although I don't know much of there music. Creeper where great though. One of the best bands in the UK at the moment easily. Songs are so easy to pick up and listen to and they smashed them live to. Well worth the £6 ticket. Seeing them with Neck Deep next year to!

  8. Yep, absolutely crazy. Was watching my celtics play arguably there worst ever so far under Brad Stevens and ended up watching the majority of the final quarter of the magic game instead. Felt heart sorry for the crowd to seeing as Orlando where at home. But what a game. We're only 2 into the season as well!

  9. I went to Warwick Uni and spent a bit of a time in Coventry itself (ie, went on nights out there during my first year) so from my extremely limited experience from being there - its a decent student city. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Ah thats good to hear. A family friend had mentioned it was rubbish for night life but that'd have been over 10 years ago. Didn't look to bad yesterday walking round the city.

  10. Probably not the right place to ask but seeing as it's the only relevant thread I will.

Im finishing my third year in college this year and want to go on and do English with Journalism as a degree. Looked at Coventry uni yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Anyone on here been to it in the past 5-8 years able to vouch for it?

  11. Saw Fall Out Boy in Bournemouth last night. Rubbish really, played more new stuff than old, missed out a couple of their bigger tracks (The Michael Jackson covers that got proper recordings/music videos) and just people deciding to film the entire gig on their iPhone rather than enjoy the moment. Properly pissed me off. Sounded alright but shite crowd ruined it for me and my brother. Also Pete Wentz has to be the most overrated bass guitar player in the history of music? Wasn't interested in it at all last night. Spoke a few times sounding depressed and just went through the songs playing pretty much stuff you could be taught after about 2 bass guitar lessons. Just couldn't get into the gig at all.

Support was some really bizzare act called Mat & Kim who have to be YouTubed as they're indescribable. Think the ting things meet the wiggles. Also Professor Green who's stocks obviously fallen massively to now be a support act..

  12. It still surprises me, presuming the download rumors are legit that they never book a pop-punk headliner one day. Id imagine there's a lot of people in a similar boat to me, they like the line-up but it's often just a bit to heavy to warrant me buying a ticket thus I head to R&L. Not that heavier music isn't their main focus but similar to this year's Reading with a heavier day, surely a 'lighter' day would do them well and bring in a new crop of weekend campers.

  13. Does Rogan do anything other than UFC and podcasts these days? I know he had that search for a Yeti documentary a while back. To me he's great until something crops up in his mind and then he just spouts shit about it for hours.

  14. I'm not sure about that Ebb. Sky currently aren't in a situation where burning money doesn't have as few consequences as they have been before due to BT etc. I'd be suprised if they're not more cautious at the moment with expenses.

Remember PPV events still cost them more to put on than just sticking a show on sky sports. Surely Sky can see the chances of people buying this other than a small number of hardcores is minimal, I mean is this really viable to air on box office. I just can't see it. Contract or not surely both parties should come to an agreement where a bad idea is gonna hit them both?

  15. Who the fuck is even buying that really? Other than the absolute die-hard's. Hearn really is a mong at times isn't he? Surely this is just damaging to his own business.

Hypothetically speaking If had to pay for UFC 192 or the Brook card. Even with - 192 having no British Fighters on it nor being on at any suitable time of the day I still put my money down for UFC and stream the Hearn show.
