Just saw the Perfect Getaway.

 

Ooh.

 

Nice little film with absolutely beautiful scenery, some really good acting and what I thought was a realyl good story and script. I'll be honest, I called the twist at the beginning but only as a faint hope of what I thought would be a good movie and never expected them to come through with it and not in the way they idd. Thought there were some plotholes at first but if you think about it they start to make sense and the film shows itself to be very clever. Wishy there had been a bit more with Cale and Cleo but good film nonetheless. One of my favourite films of 2009

Invert everything said here and that's my opinion of the film, hopefully being more trusted than the one of this poster otherwise a lot of people are in for a disappointment.

Re-watched Miami Vice. It's not great, and certainly falls short of what we expect from Michael Mann, but you know what? I watched a few episodes of the original series last week, and I have to say that, with that reference to go from, I'd say Mann went and made chicken soup from chicken shit, because the series doesn't hold up well at all. The movie, however, is fucking fun. Initially, before the movie came out, I honestly couldn't see how Mann was going to make it work without setting it in the 80s, but he stuck to his guns by keeping the much deeper motif of cops living the high life with sports cars and speed boats (despite the improbability), and it works. It's a silly, silly movie, but I really enjoy it; it's no Collateral or Heat, but on a superficial level based on lighting and cinematography, it retains the glassy slickness of Collateral, without losing itself (such as it is, for better or worse).

I liked the bit with the boat.

I know loads of people will hate this news but I enjoy his movies so i love this news

 

rob zombie has signed to do halloween 3

 

This interview with Rob Zombie rather conflicts with that.

I hope they don't re-make this, Halloween 3 was by far my favourite in the series. Infact it's the only one I liked.

I'm thinking about watching the Twin Peaks movie on the ITV Player, but one thing is stopping me. Would watching the series be essential ?

It's a prologue, however I'd recommend watching the first season at least just so you have a better idea of what's going on.
