Anyone played PES 2014 yet then? Any good?

I've had a fair few games on the FIFA 14 demo. It's a bit too short to get a real impression, but I must admit that all the emphasis on ball physics being improved and the shooting being improved seem a bit..... non existent. In terms of shooting it feels almost the same as 13, possibly a slightly weightier feel to the ball but that's about it. The slower pace to the game feels great however I have read that due to overwhelming negative feedback it's going to be ramped right back up again. I think the slower pace helps provide a more technical, tactical game which leads to my final observation. The passing. It's a 100 times better than previous years and EA would be daft to tamper with it. I'm probably going to give it a miss though, as I'll get it on PS4. Hopefully ball physics and improved shooting are more noticeable on there.

The first 5 or 6 seasons of Supernatural are great. It's like the X-Files but with one less know-it-all skeptic and more humour. It's a shame it didn't make the list. I thoroughly enjoyed this show.

I would have voted for Supernatural had I actually voted. Seasons 1-5 are superb, and the show should have ended there as Kripke had intended. It had fairly strong ratings though and got picked up again and again, although having said that the most recent season was somewhat a return to form. Dean and Sam are both brilliant leads, I'm surprised Jensen Ackles hasn't gone on and done some shitty romcoms in all honesty.

Is Scott Hall on a legends deal with WWE? If he isn't, he really should be. I reckon a random appearance here and there doing a backstage skit or something would do the Bad Guy well, or helping out the development talent. He really needs to be in one of the video games, he should have been in All-Stars really.

Lebron is fucking huge!

For me, Ric Flair is one of the most overrated wrestlers when it comes to match time. I just found him incredibly dull and phony most of the time. There are some great matches in there no doubt, but I could care less for the majority of his matches. His promo's however are another matter. He was the best ever for me, he made you want to watch his matches and care about the outcome, which made me forget about the fact that most of his matches are so similar, almost identical in some scenarios. I think that makes him one of the best ever, his ability to make people care. Hogan was the same.

I've been listening to quite a few Scott Steiner radio interviews from the past couple of years on Youtube tonight. He has to be the funniest bloke in wrestling, intentional or not. He buries the Quebecers in several of them without going into too much detail other than '' they were fucking horrible''. Anyone shed any light on this or is it just Scott Steiner being Scott Steiner?

Has anyone here played Civilization V? Debating whether to get that or Age of The Empires 3 on Mac. Both of which are old games now and quite expensive but most games on the system seem to be. I just want something like that to play to relax and unwind for an hour or two in the evenings after a day at work. I played the first Age Of the Empires years ago and loved it, so was just wondering if the series' was still up to scratch?

I really want to get Sim City but I'm not sure I have the time available to dedicate to it that it deserves. Some of the pictures and stories I've been reading of players various regions make me want to play it right now, but the fact that it's apparently

Pretty sure I'm going to know the answer to this because it's EA and you know, they're cunts, but I'm going to buy Fifa 12 today because I don't find it all that different from 13 and is considerably cheaper, but will I be able to download the latest squads so it is all up to date with the current transfers? And if not, is there another method that is quicker than doing it all manually? I have a PS3 if that helps.

I think they stop updating it at the end of the current season, to get people to buy the new version.

I actually have that tape but can't remember that match, every time I've seen him he's been boring as fuck. I'd stick him in the Dino Bravo category.

Just been watching WWF UK Fan Favourites 1993 for the first time, I'm not sure why I didn't pick it up at the time as it was in the time frame when I would have owned most of the tapes that were in my local Woolies or second hand video store. It's rank average. There's two things I can take from the tape though. Terry Taylor was shit, I don't think I've ever enjoyed one of his matches and Rick Martel and Tito Santana have fought each other more times than any other possible combination of wrestlers ever. Ever.

There's a 95 one too, it's got Diesel on the cover with a greyish background.

The originally slated October 5th release date for PES 2013 has been changed. It's now out a week before Fifa 13 on the 21st Sept. Good ploy from Konami, it plays a fantastic game and getting it out before Fifa will give it a fighting chance of making some respectable sales.

The 2nd demo for PES 2013 is fantastic, it feels a lot smoother. My only real gripe with it is the shooting has been nerfed somewhat from the first demo, the shot power just doesn't seem as crisp and hard. Hopefully they rectify that back to how it was in the first demo. If they can do that, it's a Fifa beater hands down for me. It's took them so long to get back to how good the game used to be, but it's getting there again.

Just got sky and I'm trying to get back into watching series of shows. Watching quite. Few at TV pace rather than box sets:

The never miss website for sky is really good as you can be an email reminder when a series is about to start so managed to get quite a few first series which are shown in the middle of the night or at other weird times.

I believe Terra Nova has been cancelled. I tried to get into it when it was originally shown but it just seemed to move far too slow for my liking and I gave up on it quite early on.

After reading those results, it seems a bit odd they chose to have the Steiners, Bret Hart, Tatanka, Bigelow, Money Inc etc off the Sky broadcast of the show, padding it out with a load of shit instead. At least 1 tag team match would have been nice too.

Could anyone post some more results of the UK or European Rampage tour that the WWF did in 93 please? I'm just amazed to this day at how bad the televised show was, both on paper and in-ring.
