  1. Dibiase in the KOTR finals vs Bret would have been pretty sweet too, not that there was anything wrong with the Bam Bam match, far from it as it was Bret's night with 3 amazing different matches. However, that little match within a match they had at Survivor Series 90 (i think ) was superb whilst it lasted, so definitely more Bret vs Dibiase.

Like said above, Sid would have been a natural fit for a stable, as would Lex. Both could have benefitted from being around Ted, letting him do the mic work.

  2. Watched Razor Ramon vs Crush from WWF All American earlier today on Youtube. Not a bad little match, Crush kicked out of the Razor's Edge, though Ramon stalled for a few seconds before going for the cover. Ended with a shitty double count out though, match was a few weeks before KOTR 93.

  3. I'm a big Seth Rollins fan, but he's been awful since he returned from the injury. It's partly his fault, his performances as a babyface have lacked serious conviction, but the booking of him has been even worse. Fuck me, they've booked him like DDP in 01. He was a heel though. The best thing that could happen to him was if the Shield were reformed, and I say that for all 3 former members who have been floundering for ages now.

    Double Post

  4. Yeah easily the worst attempt at win now in recent memory. Gving a well past it Paul Pierce and KG massive contracts, killed Deron Williams career and Joe Johnson. All for a fat load of cash and every draft pick they'll have until the end of time. Shocking management.

  5. Nah, Durant has pulled a Drexler on OKC there. No one remembers his championship ring with the Rockets, just his Blazer years. Same thing will happen to Durant when he becomes 2nd or 3rd option on offense.

Al Horford was a great pick up by the Celtics, I reckon they'll get a top 4 seed, they've got a solid core. The Hawks I'm not too sure on, if the old Howard is still in there somewhere they have a good chance to get in the top seeds again, but they let Teague go and have handed the keys to Schroeder, who I'm still not sold on. He's got a great potential, but I just don't see it meshing.

Regarding the Bulls, I get that they needed to sell some jerseys etc, but really they should have hit the reset button this summer. So far, Hoijberg has been a horrible appointment, they should have let him build his own team if they were intent on keeping him. Most Bulls writers are dreading covering them next season, it's a mess in the windy city. I'm well aware Rajon Rondo  was one of the best PG's in the league 4 or 5 years ago, but so much has changed since then. Small ball rules and if you can't shoot from three, as a guard you better play all-star defense or you're pretty much worthless in the current NBA.  There's a reason Rondo only had interest from the Bulls (aside from the fact he's a nutter!), he can't create his own shot, and he has no shot.

  6. You are joking about the Bulls, right? Like many others I'm amazed they've done this. I love D Wade and he's been a fantastic player over the past 13 years but the Bulls signing him was the dumbest thing they've done since spending big on a washed up Big Ben Wallace in 06. It seems to me they thought about tanking and then got cold feet and panicked and spunked their load on Wade. Which would have been amazing, in 2010. Tom Thibodeau must be laughing his nuts off. They've now got the worst 3 point shooting team in the entire organisation, the floor spacing is going to be a mess, they're chasing 44 wins and 8th seed if they're lucky. Not one of their starters shoots over 35% from deep, even worse they've got Rajon fucking Rondo as their starting point guard on a guaranteed 2 year deal. Honestly, you couldn't make this up, this is Knicks levels of incompetence.

The real winner here is Lebron James, again. Lost in the mix of all this, the Cavs picked up Mike Dunleavy. Another sharpshooter to add to their ranks. They've got nothing to sweat in the East, again.

Also, fuck Kevin Durant. What a bitch move that was, i hope the Spurs meet them and send them packing.

  7. Nic Batum is one of the most underrated players in the NBA, real good shout. He can do a bit of everything, I'm a fan.

League execs are laughing at Dwight Howard for opting out of his deal. They say he is banking on a max contract but realistically is looking between 10-15m max. So far he has meetings set up with the Hawks and Celtics.

  8. Not seen anything about the Knicks getting a meeting with KD, Art. It would make the East extremely interesting though.

Looks like Cleveland are prepared to let Delly walk. He's asked for obscene money, even in this cap rich market, and the Cavs are more than likely going to use the majority of what little they do have to play with on bringing back JR. Veteran shooters who are chasing a ring will probably sign up for a pittance too.

  9. The Clippers can't meet with KD, they're crippled by luxury tax. They have one of the biggest wage bills in the organisation. ESPN are reporting that only Warriors and Spurs are getting a meeting with KD. That rules out the Wizards and Celtics and the Knicks. I still think he'll sign back with the Thunder. He might  move next Summer when he finds out what Russ is doing.

I wouldn't call Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah a part of any 'big 3'. Both have been superb players in the past, but both of them have a lot of miles on the clock and a lot of bad injuries to boot. Noah might well start wherever he goes, but he shouldn't be logging more than 20-25 mins a night at this stage of his career.

  10. I'm torn on the D Rose trade. I have a lot of Knicks fans on my Twitter feed who are actually pissed off with the move, others delighted. As i said earlier in the thread, I can't help but feel he's the next Penny Hardaway in terms of injuries robbing us all of seeing how fantastic his career really could have been. As long as Knicks fans give him time, he could be a shrewd move. You have to accept his jumper is wildly inconsistent now, but let him drive and do his thing and you never know.

What's more interesting to me is that there is a lot of talk that Jimmy Butler is off to the Nuggets or Mavs tonight. I guess that's the rebuild button well and truly hit! Shame really, as i feel this was Butler's team to lead, and has been the past couple of seasons now.

The last strong rumour i'm getting is that Eric Bledsoe or Brandon Knight are off to the 76ers tonight. Either move would instantly make them a better side and no longer an embarrassment. Looks like Nerlens Noel is off by the end of tonight, they've got a logjam up front.

  11.

Just found out tat older Championship Manager games wont work with Windows 10

And for anyone curious the PS4 version of South Park The Stick Of Truth is censored like the PS3 version.

I've currently had Champ Man 01/02 running fine over Windows 10 also had 96/97 and 97/98 running as well a couple of weeks ago. What one are you trying to use?

02/03 installs fine but nothing happens when I try to launch it.

    I'll give 01/02 a try later.

There wasn't a CM 02/03 on the PC, as far as I'm aware. It was XBOX only. So you might have the wrong file type for the wrong system.

  12. As the article says, you have zero trade assets Art, never going to happen. Unless you can do a sign and trade with another free agent. I agree though, think Mike Conley would be the best bet for the Knicks, think he would suit the system perfectly.

Carmelo Anthony has frustrated me no end the past few years. I know it's his home team and the dollar is insane that he's on, but for some so gifted to never even play in a finals is crazy, he's pretty much wasted the past 6 years of his career. Still strongly believe he should have signed with the Bulls the other Summer.

  13. Yeah. They've become a bunch of bitches and it's quite sad really as they were one of the most likeable teams in years. I suppose that's what pressure does to you. Still, they've not acted with dignity at all. If the Cavs do win on Sunday, it should make for interesting viewing!

  14. Mo Williams is the best cheerleader in the NBA, alongside Robert Sacre! He deserves a ring for his previous tenure. Shoutout to Tristan Thompson who was sensational last night too.

But man, Lebron James.... He's on a level only he can reach right now in the modern game, this is the LBJ from 2012. He's ruthless and i love it. Kyrie has been superb too. If Lebron gets a supporting cast  like the last two games, Cleveland might just do the near impossible.

  15. I hope the Cavs do force a game 7 but I can see them getting blown out tonight. JR did the same last year and never got a decent offer and ended up resigning for less than he had before. This year he might get a few suitors but he'll never get the contract his agent thinks he's worth. Unless he has some decent veteran presence around him, with a place with no night life he's a train wreck waiting to happen again.

I can understand the Bulls wanting to move D Rose, he's essentially the modern day Penny Hardaway isn't he? Probably even better than Penny was before his injuries, how good he would have been we'll never know. I saw the T-Wolves were linked with Butler but everyone is saying they won't deal to Thibodeau, which makes sense. Rose to Memphis is the most likely scenario.

  16. I'm really starting to dislike the Warriors. They've been really petty and shitty all playoffs. Amazing to think a lot of neutrals want a Lebron team to win over them, would have been crazy to think a year ago. The Draymond suspension has been a long time coming, it won't make a difference though, this series is done.

  17. Yeah, Indy have the right to match any sheet offer. Which they absolutely will.

Any chance the Knicks make a move for Biyombo? I like Robin Lopez, but Biyombo would be a considerable upgrade. He's just opted out of Toronto, but journos have been saying he's looking for close to max contract. Which he won't get just for a bunch of rebounds in the playoffs, but i do like his energy,

  18. I wouldn't be too disappointed if I was a Wolves fan regarding Rubio. He's not even a top 15 PG, he had tremendous potential and at times looked like the second coming of Pistol Pete Maravich with his passing but.... he can't shoot can he? He doesn't get his points. He's actually regressed. If the Wolves can get something useful in return, I'd let him go.

I think it would be a disaster if the NBA sanctioned a kD move to the Warriors, a lot of casuals would probably turn off. I still think he'll stay in OKC though. At least until he knows what Russ is doing next summer.
