Thanks I'll have to try and check them out.

  2. Just watched a 40-man WWF battle royal from 1992 with a load of TV job guys and unknowns in it - one of whom bore a striking resemblance to the bleach-blond Sting. Who was this guy?

  3. When did Superstars, Wrestling Challenge, Prime Time Wrestling and All American Wrestling air on Sky and Eurosport in the late 80s/early 90s?

I seem to remember Superstars being shown on a Friday night around 10 pm.

  4. I think he looks in better shape in that pic than he did when he faced the Rock at Wrestlemania X8 and he looked in very good shape then! ... wonder what he would give to look like that now?

Well, he still looks good for a 57 year old bloke, especially considering the fact his knees are fucked, his back is curved and his hips arent his own anymore. I thought he looked in great shape on March 8.

I still think he looks in good shape for a 57 year old, just looks a bit fat these days ..... like you said though he has Knee, back and hips issues and probably restrick him doing a lot of training.

  5. Was Survivor Series 1991 the first PPV that Hulk Hogan wrestled for the WWF Championship that was not put on as the last match of the night?

Also was there any reason for this? except to give the WWF more time to promote the Tuesday PPV.

  6. Not an idiot I work with but still an Idiot.

Yesterday as I was early meeting a mate in pub for a few pints decided to have a look in one or two shops. BHS had a 20% off everything sale, I heard a guy arguing with his wife that because he had purchased something for

  7. I was watching WWE Insurrextion from 2002 the other day.

Why is the NWO music edited out when on other PPV's DVD's it is on unedited? I'm guessing copywrite but why just block it for one PPV.

It's also edited out from Rock vs Hogan on the "Most Electrifying Man..." set, so it's not just the one. They may have had temporary rights to it which expired at some point.

Wasnt the entrance music for Hogan at Wrestlemania XVIII Voodoo Child?

  8. Man, Ive been wanting to make a general cricket thread for ages now, but just didnt think thered be the interest. Anderson is our main man with the ball right now, he's developed that consistancy that he's been missing. Harmy bowled well in the warmup game and has done well for Durham this season, but I just dont think he's done enough to get in ahead of the likes of Sidebottom and Onions. We have 2 really promising younger guys in Broad and Bopara that I think will both make a big contribution in this series. I think Adil Rashid is a little unlucky to not to be in the 13 for wednesday, other than 3-10 he took the other day Monty has been in no form at all. Hopefully it'll give him some confidence and he'll produce the goods. I think our batting lineup pretty much picks itself, it'll be interesting to see if they go with Prior at 6 and Flintoff at 7 or the other way. While the aussies arent the team they were, they've still got enough class and quality. I rate Mitchell Johnson very highly but he's never done it over here so that will be interesting to see how he adapts. I'd probably put Prior 6. So yeah, really looked forward to it, should be much more even than the drubbing we got down under last time out.

Totally agree about Adil Rashid, it would have been great experience for him. Onions looks like he could be very useful addition to the side.

  9. I'm still unsure on the English Cricket Team, but having said that the Aussie's are not the team they once were.

Pleased about Harmison, everyone rave about Anderson but to me for at least 3 balls in an over he needs radar to find the stumps! Monty Panesar is also a joke now. he is crap with the bat, cannot field and only has one variation of swing the oposition have now found him out.

  10. Where can I find out a list and name of the WCW shows shown on the BSB (before the Sky merger) Sports channel?

All i can remember is that Johnny B Badd, Big Josh, Mark Calloway, and Vinnie Vegas featured Afair

Wasn't it just WCW Power Hour? I don't think they showed actual events.

Now a question from me... From a match description of a !BANG! torrent...

    Funking Conservatory World Title Match

Wahoo McDaniel Jr. vs Shane Chung (Champion)

Old School Rules as per NWA Rule Book of Professional Wrestling by Eddie Graham

What exactly are "Old School Rules"? Thanks.

Yeah I'm certain it was Power Hour. If I remember correctly use to be on a Saturday Morning.

Cheers Baz and Mojo, I will have a looky and see!

    EDIT: Found a Promo

    is that deffo Power Hour?

Looks like it to me! :)

Yeah I am sure that is it.

  11. I think it had something to do with Sting and whether he would show up to be a member of team WCW, but he didnt show up till after the match had finished by coming down from the rafters and then wiped out the NWO.

Rick Steiner was supposed to be in the team, but nWo in all of their madness, decided to ram into the back of the Steiners car when they seen it. Rick Steiner threw something at them which made them laugh and then they rammed them off the road, sending the car flying. The nWo shocked themselves with that one. "Lets get outta here.".

It was supposed to be Rick and not Sting in the main event. I'm not sure if Sting was supposed to be a replacement. They mentioned his name but they never mentioned him being part of the WCW team.

that was also shown on a episode of Monday Nitro.

I dont think Sting was any part of it. At that stage they was still unsure if he was WCW or NWO as he was just coming down from the rafters with a bat and attacking mainly WCW guys Like Jarrett and Rick Stiener.
