  1. Had a chuckle at Pascal coming out to "The Game".

If you are looking for a sky box office stream (probs a bit late for the british stuff now, but should be good for oscar/manny) check...

    here

  2. Right peeps, question time...

I recall watching a series of Boxing documentaries on BBC2 on a Sunday night around 2005-ish called "The Fight". At least, I think I do. I only really remember that one of them was the story of Jake la Motta, and I thought it was fascinating despite only being an occasional Boxing viewer back then.

Anyway, after spending ages trying to find more info about the programmes, I hadn't, except for finding a series called "The Fight" that I am downloading at the minute. Only because they weren't released on DVD as far as I know.

I am downloading the first episode at the moment, which is about the Joe Louis v Max Schmeling fight from 1938.

Now is the programme I'm dowloading at the minute, part of that series that was on BBC2 in 2004/2005-ish?

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

  3. Maccarinelli is without an opponent again after Alvarez is out after initially failing to make the weight, then failing a medical.

What's the betting on an Eastern European replacement?

Oh dear, this whole Excel event is turning in to an absolute disaster. Enzo's new opponent is Norris No-Name himself, Matthew Ellis, who has only fought three times in the last five years. It appears to still be for the World Cruiserweight title, so basically Enzo has been given a free world title.

    Not bad that.

EDIT: Maybe the WBO title is no longer on the line for Enzo. Sky Sports says it is, but BBC says it isnt.

  4. I stayed up for this? Malignaggi didn't even want to fight, spoiled the whole lot and thankfully his corner pulled him out. Bull and shit, well done Hatton, didn't lose his rag and boxed superlative. Malignaggi had no answer, after the first round he didn't even have a clue.

Pretty much sums it up. Worth it I suppose to see Hatton win, but really, there was more Wrestling there (mainly in Malignaggi's part) than an episode of impact.

de la Hoya at Wembley Stadium next year=$$$$$$$$

A fight I'd like to see, and in person as well

  5. Can someone tell me what time the Ricky Fatton fight actually starts as I want some kip before hand.

Sky are saying 3.30, but I'd imagine probably closer to 4.00

Anyone got a decent stream for the Hatton fight?

yeah, there were some excellent ones at the start of the night, but as it has gone on streams have got less and less. This is working fairly well at the moment

  6. The Prizefighter Final was absolutely amazing, and well worth the watch in the replays if anybody gets the chance.

It's nice to see two guys go out and try and knock each other giving it everything, as opposed to the hugfests (Audley Harrison, anybody) that we are more accustomed to these days,

  7. problem easily solved then, watch Froch for nowt, then download the PPV the next day :D

Exactly thats what I plan to do. as for tonight, I'vejust got my stream set up and its working!

I never quite get why Dave Clark 'n co get dressed up smart in dickie bowes when they are sat in a studio in London, thousands of miles away :bored:

  8. I've also been told that after fleecing folk for that they are doing another SBO in a fortnight for the De La Hoya / Pacquiao fight.........unreal

As much as I am a Hatton fan, I find it absolutelt disgusting that on top of paying nigh on

  9. ok so lazy question here .

I've only just got back online and ive been going through the last few months of smackdown to get all the THE brian kendrick matches so my question is has he been on ecw atall? I cant be bothered to go through all the ecw results and i cant atch ecw now punk is gone.

Any help would be great :)

No, the Smackdown/ECW talent trade has faded away, and only Miz/Morrison from ECW appear occasionally on Smackdown these days.

Only time away from Smackdown since his change, I believe was when he was on the "special 800th edition" of Raw that actually wasn't the 800th, nearly two weeks ago. He teamed with MVP and lost to the Hardys

  10. About the longest un-Wrestlemania streak question I asked.

Forget the Heat, wwe.com or home video exclusives before WM as that technically isn't Wrestlemania.

Funny how obvious it was Stevie Richards before he got released. I first thought of Funaki, but he was at the WM2000 Hardcore Battle Royal. And then Hurrican Helms, who as far as I'm aware has never had a match at Wrestlemania, but won (then lost) the Hardcore title under the 24/7 rule at X8.

And yes, Lombardi competed as KimChee at the X-Seven Gimmick Battle Royal.

I'm struggling to find anybody other than Snitsky

  11. Perhaps (or perhaps not) a tricky question...

Which wrestler has been with WWE the longest without appearing in a Wrestlemania?

It used to be Stevie Richards, but he left so I'm not sure. Kendrick has been with WWE since 2002 (on and off) which would perhaps make him the longest, but obviously that was interrupted.

In terms of longest uninterrupted without a Wrestlemania of the current roster, I'd take a guess at Gene Snitsky, but I may be way off.

  12. A couple of quick questions cause I havn't been paying attention too much lately;

On Raw; In kayfabe terms, are Santino and Beth meant to be a couple? Or are they only a couple in Santino's eyes and she sees him as a pain in the arse?

On Smackdown; Where is Edge? I assumed that he was going to be off tv for a few weeks selling being sent to hell at Summerslam, but he still isnt back yet. So, whats the story with him? Is he injured? When is he due to return?

Beth/Santino are a "couple". It all started after Beth beat Santino once, and they shared a "passionate" kiss after aguing. It developed fairly quickly in to what you see now. But quite regularly Beth sees him as a pain in the arse as well.

Edge is still selling the injuries from Summerslam, and if the internet reports are anything to go by, he is due back pretty much anytime soon. I'd guess he may have some interfering part at Survivor Series in either the Taker/Show or Kozlov/HHH match

  13. Best guess would be around 2-3am. That would make it 9-10pm in New York City, seems about the right time.

I think it will depend on how the undercard fights go, but usually the big US fights are between about 3.00 and 3.30am ourtime.

HBO's programmes seems to start around 2am, and they tend to have one main undercard fight live before the main event. Often its a world title fight, but this time it looks like Zab Judah-and it all depends on how long that lasts

Ah yes of course, it will be a bit earlier than usual, as New York is on the east coast, while most of the big world title fights are in Las Vegas nowadays-which is west coast. So as Familiar says, probably between 2 and 3

  15. Looks a great night of Boxing tonight on itv4, nuts tv and some dodgy (hopefully setanta stream). My internet at uni is shocking but hopefully it will play them. I've seen lots of potential streams about, but does anybody know of any setanta ones that are likely to be doing the rounds?

And out of interest, how long have Nuts TV been showing live Boxing? I've seen all their classic Nigel Benn or Chris Eubank fights but this is the first time I've ever actually hard of them showing a live fight.

    Thanks,

    Sergio

  16. Have you heard it confirmed that his next fight will be on ppv? I'd assumed they wouldn't have the gall to expect people to pay for his next fight after what happened last time.By the way, I found the article, an interview with Frank warren, where he states that it was Khans' financial demands which meant they had to take him to pay per view. So I'm officially a hater now.Click

I haven't heard it officially confirmed-but seeing as they need it to be on PPV to make any money out of it I'd imagine it would need to be on SBO.Obviously, if it is on PPV, you are going to need a massive "undercard" fight to sell PPVs, but the quandry is-it cant be a fight too big otherwise it would upset the Khan peeps that he isn't top billing.Put it this way, I would be surprised if his next fight isn't on Box Office. It would an absolutely stupid decision if they did, particularly with Carl Froch on primetime free TV the same night.
  17. According to the good folks at eastsideboxing, The Khan ppv did about 49,000 buys. Franks Warren said before hand they needed about 250,000. Ouch, springs to mind.Sky have finally done something to justify the money I pay by bringing us Shane Mosely vs Ricardo Mayorga tonight. I'm going with Mosely, TKO somewhere in the last third of the fight.

I'm going to be honest, I'm surprised the Khan fight did that many buys. And that buyrate will drop hugely for his next fight on December 6th-the same night that the first major world title fight of ITV's new Boxing deal takes place, when Carl Froch challenges for the World Super Middleweight title on itv1.Forgive the well worn saying, but that is one, epic, epic fail.World title fight on free TV, or a Khan v Johnny Jobber fight on Box Office?
  18. I vaguely recall reading a story a while back about Juventud Guerrera...Apparently he was fired from WWE because he tried to win a Cruiserweight title match against Kid Kash that he was scehduled to lose. Thus, it overran badly. Is this true at all-and if so, does anybody have a link to the match as I eally cant remember it happening (must have been late 2005)Thanks a lot
