  1. I thought that outside of the Shane stuff, the Orton/HHH build had a lot of great stuff in it and was by and large an excellent build. There hasn't been a better built WWE Title match since. It's the absolutely terrible execution of the match that makes it worse looking back, combine that with an incredible match between HBK/Taker on the night and it's easy to say that should have gone on last. However, in terms of the build HHH/Orton should definately have been last match for me.

  2. With him being a private person I've never really known if he's someone that would like to keep his hand in wrestling backstage etc or whether he's quite happy to stay away until they want him oncscreen, like HBK. I'd have thought at some point he'll have some kind of role but doesn't seem that way at the moment

  3. Does The Undertaker have much to do with the WWE backstage? Obviously it's very rare we see him on TV now, but for such a huge name you don't here much of him these days. Just wondered what he got up to wrestling wise when he's not around.

  4. I remember seeing the pics in the WWF mag before seeing it on tape, an incredible kicking.

I saw them and the fact I can remember them shows the impression they left because I was only about 5. They were really graphic pics for the time and left 5 year old me with no doubt about how real it was. And that Nailz was a hard bastard, then I was disspointed the only tape I had him on was knocking Virgil's block off at Summerslam 92. I probably assumed Boss Man was dead or something.

  5. I think he still gets enough ammo from the latest PPV etc and usually presents it in a funny way, eg the "It's Taz!" with oompa loompa cracks me up everytime for some reason. The reason I tend to skip most the other stuff is because I expect all the Indy tits to fuck up so it's no fun when they do

  6. Despite Morgan's efforts today think England are being found wanting a bit so far in this and with a young team they just don't look strong enough at this point.

For me the biggest area we are lacking is in the top three. You look at the names in the other teams and virtually every one has 1, 2 or 3 world class players in the top 3. Warner, Watson, McCullum, Jayawardene, Sangakkara, Dlishan, Amla, Kallis, Sehwag, Gambir and Gayle are some of the best players in the world and indeed ever in some cases and all bat in the top 3. Pakistan is the team I've not mentioned but they happen to have 3 of the highest wicket takers in T20 with Ajmal, Afridi and Gul. I think Kieswetter has outstayed his welcome for some time personally, especially with Prior in the wings. Looks fantastic when he comes off but does it too rarely. Hales has been solid and Wright looks better than he was but neither are in the league of the aforementioned top 3 players. Of course we all know where England's world class player who plays in the top 3 is.....

  7. Yeah I was really enjoying this week's and then it just ended. Could have done with being a two-parter, with everyone dying as the end of that episode. Daft that for such a huge project the Doctor just walks onto a ship and with no attempt to stop him reverses everything that's just happened.

  8. Oh yeah I know it's not the teams fault that they are so far behind, tournaments like this can be depressing to watch when you don't get a shock. It would be nice if a 'World Cup' brought together teams that don't always play each other and there were plenty of competitive matches. Instead we get the same 8, who while very entertaining to watch don't make it feel what it should be.

God knows why they have put all the David vs Goliath matches first up rather than mixing it up with the box office matches, it sets the asscoiate sides apart. Also having the Super 8's laid out must be a kick in the balls for the other 4 teams.

  9. Thought this could do with a bump with the T20 World Cup having started and England beggining in a bit. I'd rather not have a broken ankle, but having one when this is on is one of those "not all bad" moments.

Brendon McCullum (or McCallum if you're Mr Akram) hit a splendid knock of 123 this morning which is the highest in T20 internationals. It was great to watch but the asscoiate teams have been awfully dissapointing so far, with Afghanistan being the most entertaining. Unless there is an upset this afternoon a couple of the weekends 'big' games will be almost pointless because you go into pre-assigned super 8 groups. I can see why they do that but it makes the opening few games a little flat unless the asscoiate teams turn up and they've been dreadful so far.

  10. Watched that Channel Four Comedy Special "Them From That Thing". It's a sketch show with a great cast and Charlie Brooker had a hand in it.

It was fucking awful, didn't raise a single smile.

It certainly was. Also watched "Toast of London" the other night with Matt Berry in who was/is amazng in the IT Crowd. It was odd but funny in places, might be a bit too out there for me if it's a full series. Looking forward to the Harry Hill programme that's on tomorrow night, Burt Kwouk is back!

While i'm here loving Person of Interest which has just come over here on to Channel 5. Very OTT at times but great stories and an intriguing underlying story. Plus Michael Emerson is my hero.
