  1. Won't go into too much detail but had another top weekend in Preston. Wrestling highlights for me were Redragon's performances, Andrews/Travis and the triple threat on night two. The general atmosphere and overall presentation of the show by PCW was once again top notch.

PCW contains some belting themes/songs used as themes (with one particularly obvious outstanding one) which brings me on to the reason I posted, to ask what Low Ki was using as a theme? It was very catchy for a repetitive tune.

  2. I'll be there, first wrestling show since Royal Rumble night I believe and as Benny said the Preston Weekenders are great in and out of the ropes for us too so very much looking forward to it. Like posh bastards we're even 2nd row Friday night*

*Or Tommy!'s knees can't cope with standing for two nights  Should help avoid burnout to be fair.

  3. Just want to thank Butch for his plugging of Check it Out! with Dr. Steve Brule, it's bloody amazing!

Watched most of the first two series and been keeping up with the new one, which has been a bit wackier but just as, if not funnier.

"What kind of Animal you wanna be Dingus?

    "Probably a dog"

"Nope, that's not it, you'd be a dangutang, that's what you look like."

  4. Looking forward to the next couple of days. Heading straight from work tomorrow to the National Winter Ales fest in Derby then stopping over and visiting a few of the many great pubs Derby has to offer. For me from my experience/what I've read it's one of, if not the best places for Ale we've got, spoilt for choice in quite a small area. I'd say it ranks as my favourite that I've been too. The Wetherspoons there is a step above the norm too, more choice, lots of local stuff and even a beer screen!

  5. The Cesaro/Cena match was the most I've watched and enjoyed a long TV match since Punk vs Cena last year, it was magnificent stuff. Shame that so many other TV matches are drawn out bores.

Special mention to Bad News Barrett for kicking over some toys. Still love that guy.

  6. Has Batista VS Orton ever happened on a big show before though? It may well have been, I didn't watch wrestling at the time when Batista was a big player, but I'm not aware of one. Definitely not at Wrestlemania. Summerslam perhaps?

They wrestled at Armageddon once, it weren't much cop.

  7. I couldn't resist making a start on my beers I bought online. Gone a bit ooh la la (they're not French) continental with mine this year. Ended up with 12 UK, 12 Belgian, 3 German and 3 Dutch. Splashed out on beer for Christmas the last three years now and the tastes and styles have been different each time. It's a treat I look forward to now I'm a bit old for some of the Christmas magic. Gone for quite a few Belgian Tripels and Black I.P.A's this year.

  8. All the better that i'll be going with my free raffle winning tickets

That was tremendous. I saw you.... but you didn't see me. ;)

I was distracted by Tommy! hoisting me up masterlock style to celebrate  although I'm sure somebody shouted Windham as he was doing so. Have to say hi next time. I wasn't drunk, but drinking at the shows gives me a patchy memory of specific details of matches, like Liger winning with a top rope brainbuster  It's weird because I remember everything after the wrestling fine.

I forgot to mention that the bits with Bubbglegum/Kong and Dave Rayne on Night 2 were very entertaining segments.

  9. Vader vs Dave Mastiff is announced for Festive Fury on the 6th December

Wow, it's the match i'd hoped for so chuffed it's happening. All the better that i'll be going with my free raffle winning tickets  Anyone know if there's a meet and greet or anything with Vader?

Had a superb weekend in Preston both inside and outside of PCW. Both shows were top stuff with stand out matches on both shows which is what I thought would happen so pleased I did both. Great atmosphere as always, especially the first with some great crowd interaction without trying too hard. All the imports were great, especially the ones I hadn't seen before Uhaa (amazing music) and Steen, the latter probably being the man of the weekend for me. His involvement in the four way was great and his match vs Mastiff was top drawer. Holly and D'lo seemed to enjoy themselves which always makes imports like them more enjoyable to watch. Oh and So Cal Val just seemed lovely all round :laugh:.

Top matches for me were Mastiff vs Steen, Four Way, Tag titles, Uhaa vs Ligero and Liger vs Allmark. There was some stuff I didn't like such as the reverse booking of announced matches, Williams and Lionheart being mates, the screwy story in the night one title match but these are minor quibbles amongst an excellent weekend. Oh and those little videos before night 2 were very entertaining so kudos to all involved in those. Recap's of stuff that happened on previous nights/shows works well too.

  10. Also Birmingham beer festival this week for us Midlanders, It's usually top notch. Looking forward to the couple of times I'll be going including the opening Camra only night, which should be a good chance to have pick of all the beers which doesn't normally happen when we just go on the Saturday.

  11. Damn, makes the day show tempting but don't want to burn out with Southside being the day after. Sure those two will be up to something good on the night. The six man on Friday sounds super.

PLACE BETS NOW : D'Lo and Holly to have misunderstanding at the conclusion of the six-man tag, for instance one blames the other for losing, both promise to settle it "tomorrow afternoon."

I'd go for that followed by Rampage and T-Bone interfering in the singles leading to a tag on the night, would be a good match that.
