  1. Eastenders was really good last night, with that Denise storyline. Best work they have done for a long time. What I don't get is, how did Lucas get in if there was that board against the door?

  2. Earlier on today, I watched the second Raw of 1998, and whilst telling people to phone up the WWF Hotline, Jim Ross mentioned rumours about Hulk Hogan returning to the WWF at the Royal Rumble. Now obviously that never happened, but does anyone know any morew information on that situation?

  3. I try and keep up with Eastenders, but I'm far more intrigued by Rosie Webster's lesbian shenanigans in Corrie at the minute.

Me too :) Best storyline ever written!

Bollocks! If you want a well-written, proper-acted lesbo angle, go to YouTube or somewhere and search for Beth Jordache and Brookside.

The one in Corrie with the couple of spotty teenagers is poor, mainly because neither of them can act and I find them about as erotic as a fish supper.

Believe me, it's an upgrade from this: Sonia-Eastenders.jpg

  4. Does anyone know what was planned for WrestleMania 13 if Michaels hadn't acted the tart? I'm watching Raws from the start of the year (I'm on the one just before he loses his smile) and there doesn't seem to be any direction other than Bret Hart's feuds with Michaels and Austin, and Ahmed vs The Nation. Was Undertaker vs Sid the plan all along? And what would Austin had done if Bret had had the rematch with Michaels?

Bret vs Michaels was originally going to be a straight respect match, where at the end Michaels would be stretchered out after Bret would break his ankle/knee/leg or something. This would have been Bret's heel turn. The kind of went that way at the end of the Austin vs Bret match, but Bret was going to put Shawn out for a few months and then (with Bret as champion) Shawn was going to win the belt from him.

Strangely, I believe Austin vs Vader was the original match for Stone Cold at WrestleMania 13.

I think Austin Vs Mankind would have been much better than Vader.

  5. Phil's reaction to getting the ol' PlayStation up and running gets me every time.
Comedy Gold :) Someone needs to give him a couple of cans of lager or something, his is brilliant when drunk
  6. Coronation Street for me, there is way loads of funny characters in it and the storylines are much better than any other soap. Eastenders is very annoying at the moment with this stupid fucking annoying little cockhead:

And then you have these bunch of Ali G wannabe morons:

And don't forget these greasy group of tramps:

And then you have this appauling actor and his fuckfaced mother:

Just end it now. End the pain.

Let Phill get drunk, flush Beale's head down the bog again, bring in some decent gangsters (Yeah, proper ones. Not ones who are my age with knives in their tracksuit pockets with their hoods up). Bring back Nick Cotton in his old wheelchair with his Ma. Get rid of all the terrible child actors, bring back all the older ones.

  7. I am currently downloading the latest episode of TNA IMPACT. I have not tuned in since they declared 'war' with the WWE, ... the show that started with that cage thing that no one could climb out of, and Hardy came down.

Has it got better or worse since then, just so I am prepared, if it could possibly get any worse?

    Much much worse.

  8. I think Marty Jannetty beat HBK for the Intercontinental title at a house show. I remember watching Superstars back in May 93 which had something to that effect.

Yup, remember the Steiners/Money Inc switches a bit later too.

Strange how I recall title switches from 16 years ago, but couldn't tell you who half the title holders are nowadays.

I think that happened on Raw, so seing as though we didn't get it until '95, they probably did an announcement on Superstars about it.

  9. Not long after Raw first started, we just used to get the highlights on Mania with Todd Pettengill. There was definately a match between "The Model" Rick Martel and Mr. Perfect that ended during a Raw commercial break.

The match was in progress, and Raw cut to a commercial. On Mania we cut to Pettengill in the studio informing us that, yes Raw had gone to a commercial, and, when Raw returned... they cut to Perfect in the ring with some female models!

Obviously, they did this to emphasise that Raw was 'live and uncensored' and that 'anything could happen', which made sense.

What didn't make sense, to me anyway, was that they would show this on a highlights program...

And they were both an hour long. The should have just had Raw.

  10. Meltz~ and Bryan`` keep talking about WWE once letting The Rock's contract expire. Can anyone shed some light on that for me?

In 2004, while Rock was inactive, WWE didn't even attempt to contact him when his contract was up for renewal to see if they wanted to keep him on a semi-active basis. Instead, nobody got in touch, it lapsed and he's only made the odd appearance since, though he's never again set foot in a WWE ring.

The idiots, think how better some of the last few Wrestlemania's would have been with a Hogan like returns for The Rock.

  11. A bit of a long winded question here, but I was wondering if anybody could give me recommendations for a few Indy companies?

What I've seen from ROH, PWG and FIP has been brief, and has mostly contained CM Punk, but I'm hoping somebody could just tell me a couple of dvd's to get from each company?

I only want a few from each, to test the waters, so I'd be greatful if somebody could list some of their personal favourites. I'd also like to know the name of a good and recent ROH dvd, and I was wondering if anybody knew where to track down official Japanese DVD's, such as Dragon Gate Japan and Noah.

    Thanks.

They do a retail PWG DVD in HMV for about

  12. What is the biggest selling wrestling DVD of all time? In contrast, how many wrestling DVD's are sold a year?

I don't know about the best selling *DVD*, but isn't the best selling *VHS*, the first Ultimate Warrior one? I'm sure JNLister mentioned this.

could be wrong, but i think the best selling WWE dvds are the first ric flair box set and The rise and fall of ECW.

Pretty sure the flair one was top for a long time.

I think the Bret Hart one is up there as well.

  13. How far back is TNA on Bravo?

Flicking through Sky earlier and Bravo 2 were showing Impact. They still had a 6 sided ring!

Thursday's Impact (US airing) airs first run Saturday nights on Bravo, repeated on Sunday night and the following Saturday morning. Bravo 2 shows TNA from about 2008 (I think) on mornings and afternoons.

I think they are more up to date now, becuase around Easter it was on every day on Bravo 2 about 4.00PM and it was around June 2009. Last time I checked it was the one after January 4th.
