  1. Taken from Screen Rant but they do state where their sources have been also i think.

"The Fast & Furious franchise has developed into one of Hollywood’s most unlikely mega-franchises in part because of a winning chemistry between its recurring main cast that nicely compliments the series’ central themes of family and strength in numbers. However, rumors have flown for months that the makeshift “family” has been experiencing dysfunction on the set of the just-wrapped eighth installment.

This all started with a cryptic social media post implying that series regular Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has had a falling out with one or more of his fellow castmates – with franchise star Vin Diesel heavily rumored to be the one The Rock was alluding to. While the rest of the film’s cast has largely remained silent on the matter, a new rumor claims that this “feud” may really be an elaborate promotional stunt that involves Johnson’s past career as a professional wrestler.

The new rumor comes from Life & Style, which quotes an unnamed source close to the production as revealing that the supposed rift between Fast 8’s two biggest stars is actually a “prank” being staged as part of a publicity stunt. The apparent endgame? Diesel and The Rock opting to settle their differences in hand-to-hand combat at Wrestlemania XXXIII – a live WWE pay-per-view professional wrestling event coincidentally scheduled to take place a scant 12 days before Fast 8 is set to open in theaters.

While once a closely-guarded industry secret, most fans today are widely aware that professional wrestling typically features pre-arranged finishes and maneuvers executed to look more painful/damaging than they actually are. Many matches also take place in a state referred to in the industry as “kayfabe,” wherein competitors engage in a pre-determined storyline establishing exaggerated reasons for their fighting and/or mutual dislike, with major matches fleshing out these storylines via in-character publicity stunts called “works.” The implication here, then, is that Diesel and Johnson are not actually feuding, and that the entire controversy has been a work to set up the match to help promote the film.

While officially retired from regular participation in the sport, The Rock earned his initial fame in Vince McMahon’s WWE and makes occasional returns for kayfabe guest appearances at major PPV events. However, if he were indeed to wrestle Diesel it would mark his first in-ring competition in several years. While the wrestler-turned-actor was widely expected to appear at the 33rd Wrestlemania event already, this new rumor is the first implication that he might bring any of the Fast 8 cast with him in any capacity. At this time, neither the actors, Universal Pictures nor WWE have commented on the rumor. Of note: The Rock’s offending posts described his castmates as “candyasses,” which was a catchphrase of his WWE character.

While it’s not a regular feature, actors and/or fictional characters appearing at pro-wrestling events to promote films or TV shows has a long history particularly since the sport became widely televised. Mr. T has appeared at Wrestlemania,as did the late Muhammad Ali as a guest referee. Mickey Rourke stepped into the ring to promote his film The Wrestler, while celebrities like Jerry Springer, Jon Stewart and Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump have participated to varying degrees as well. Actor David Arquette was notoriously awarded a championship title in the now-defunct WCW wrestling organization, and most recently Arrow actor Stephen Amell wrestled multiple guest matchesagainst top WWE talent."

  2.

I thought Bret's trousers and vest were attached as one?

you can see the trunks are separate by his right thigh in the above pic.

Yeah, I always knew Bret (and a few others) did this, but i thought the tights and the vest were one piece with trunks then on top. I was wrong probably but despite that, what's the advantage of having trunks on top altogether? I don't understand the reasoning for it. It's always bugged me. If ever I went to a Q&A with Bret, this would be my Q haha

  3. I thought Bret's trousers and vest were attached as one? The fact he's got his thumbs in his trousers here, suggest not. I never have understood pants on top of trousers :-S A few guys did this though if memory serves me right

    Jim's hat is amazing!

  4. Has the UKFF been "down" for the last couple of days? All I've been getting (for any page) is two lines of text with a salmon colour fill behind the text saying something about IP address or whatnot? It's obv working for again now but anyone know why that might've happened? We just got a new internet supplier??????? haha

  5. Yeah I watched the Seth 24 thing last night, absolutely fantastic piece of documentary making for fans to feel sympathy and rally behind the returning babyface.....oh wait

If they didn't break kayfabe in a "behind the curtain" documentary then it fails as a documentary.

  6. Scroobius Pip anyone? He's a solo spoken word artist or part of a UK Hip Hop duo act called Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip. Anyway, he just posted this on his Facebook. I have absolutely no more context other than that haha

  7.

'The Club' is a terrible name for a faction that even on television seems to only exist in theory.

If they ever cement the name "The Club" then it becomes a problem because that's a LOLTNA thing to do.

The name makes perfect sense really. Ever since losing his taste for gravy in 2009, Gallows has preferred a lot of chocolate on his biscuit.

I dunno if it's a winner, but surely we have a candidate for "post of year" right here!!

  8. For those that don't know who AJ is, it's harder to cheer for him when he's siding with clear heels in Anderson and Gallows.

Your sentance has more to do with Reigns than it does with AJ. I reckon with the Cena type of crap JBL has been told to say saying such as "whether you like him or hate him, he always gets a reaction", your post is exactly what WWE want isn't it? The people that don't know AJ to cheer Roman, and the people that do know AJ to boo Roman. I really think they're deliberately going for the 50/50 crowd split for Roman.

Out of curiosity, did Hulk Hogan have this kind of 50/50 split? I remember being in primary school (1990?) and loving Hogan, but a friends older brother was in secondary school and was saying how Hogan was crap and was telling us

we should like Piper, Jake and Mr Perfect.

  9. With Emma out now for an unknown amount of time, I reckon Dana Brooke and Ryback could do a good bully duo/tandem shtick

You think Ryback's coming back anytime soon?

No, not at all. But his recent shoot/whatever aside, I enjoyed his bully gimmick and seeing Dana this week on Raw made me think of him in that role.

  10. The bloke with Magnum, Lex. RnR Express is former WCW jobber George South, who has since released a book and has a YouTube series on the Highspots channel, both called Dad You Don't Work, You Wrestle.
