  1. Just a few more i remembered

Noel Fielding- met him in the most random, shit club ever. Pretty sure he was off his face on something, but was a really nice guy, he hugged a lot lol.

Super Hans- Again in a club, it was like Jesus had walked in the way people swamped round him. Can't say I really 'met' him, but I drunkenly said 'love your work' to him in a toilet, and he said 'thanks' and smiled, so he's alright in my book!

Lewis Hamilton- In Empire Casino Lester Square 2 and a bit years ago, was at the bar with my mates and there was a group of friends next to us. Anyway, it was Lewis Hamilton. I had heard bad things about him, so we didn't bother him, but when I went to the bar and he was there I wished him good luck for the season, and he said thanks and got me a drink. Nice bloke at the end of the day.

  2. Glad they're going to different planets. I've read somewhere that all the specials are set off earth which is a good thing imo. Guess the budget is bigger for these stories given that theres no series. Though with all Russel T.Davies stories, this'll probably be a let down.

Btw, heard the christmas episode is gonna have Bernard Cribbins back in it which is good!

Anyway, has anyone see the new assistant? Its that annoying girl who played Cassie in the first Skins' series. I'm really fearing for it, too young a doctor AND companion. It'll look fucking terrible, like a teen drama in space. I was very excited about Mofatts tenure in charge, now I'm really loosing faith.

  3. Alan Davis- The word twat would be a compliment. What an absolute miserable wanker who I unfortunatley have met twice. Firstly after Arsenal-Wolves in the 1998 semi final at villa park. I was on a late train out of there and he was walking through the carriages. He proceeded to tell me to 'get out of his way' while trying to push me. I called him a cunt and he scuffled away. 4 years later I walked past a kebab shop in the Angel and he's coming out, and some girl asks him for an autograph. He then proceeds to push her pen and paper out of the way and laughingly walk off. Massic massive idiot.

John Lydon- Thoroughly nice bloke, and let in all these young fans into the dressing room after the gig and signed everything they wanted him to and posed for pictures. top bloke

  4. For me Skins is just unbelievable nonsense. Who really experience anything like that when they were that age? Why is everyone so complicated? nobody has normal parents for instance, which is the laziest form of teenage nonsense ever.

The Inbetweeners was what my 6th form days were like and I'm sure for most as well. Read an interesting interview with the guy who plays Will, saying Skins was what teenagers want to think their teenage years will be like (huge parties) but the inbetweeners is what actually happens (shit house parties and general failure)

Skins appeals to kids at about 14, who think thats whats going to happen when they hit 17, it wont!

btw, in skins, i caught the last one, and the girl they're fighting over? why? she's not that fit at all.

Anyway, well into Mad Men, Supernatural and Fringe at the moment. They all seem to be getting better and better

  5. I thought that was the worst thing about it. Was always great how in the first one and thereon it never tried to explain why he was mad- made it seem MORE realistic than humanising him. Kids mental and kills, then comes back and is a calculated killer who seems to almost be superhuman. The remake pissed all over what the character was IMO.

  6. To the question about the grey hair of the second doctor, I'ld use the explanation given by Tennant to Davidson's Doctor in the Children in Need thing, about the time lines being out of sync so ageing the 5th Doctor. Pretty reasonable explanation I thought.

I can't remember him ever being called 'Doctor Who'. I remember in the first episode he is called it, and the Doctor sort of likes it or something (My memory may not be up to much on this, so do not take it as fact) I think he's called 'Doctor Who' in the Peter Cushin(spelling?) films, but they are not considered cannon (although both are very good films)

  7. So you want it to end after the 13th Doctor?

Personally I'm not fussed on the whole '13' regenerations. The Master ran out of them twice, managed to survive, and regenerated in the new series. Also, I know William Hartnell is 'the first', but who is to say he is the actual first version of the Doctor, just because in television he is number 1, does not mean he is actually No.1 (if that makes sense) And he may have used up one of his regenerations when he transfered the power to his hand at the end of the last series.

I'ld like them to create a story around it when it comes to it, perhaps the Doctor growing weary and looking forward to death (a bit like McCoys Doctor near the end, the growing tired of it all) Then have him regenerate, and perhaps search for the reason why this has happened. Don't know what it would be, but thats not my job ;) But I'ld ceratinly like a big story, maybe a series, investigating just why he has gone beyond 13.

I also hope they bring back big stories, like 3-4 parters. I think many of the stories are rushed personally, and thus loose impact. I always think a good Dalek episode has to last for more than 2, I hate how the Doctor seems to be able to easily wipe them all out these days. Plus less-earth based ones, sort of take away the realism I think when you have Dalek after Dalek invasion. Also leaves the impact of the Doctor being an 'alien' seem less important.

  8. As said, I can't really judge him until I watch him, and Daniel Craig as Bond should teach some people to wait and see before criticising.

I wanted the Doctor to be older, and it seems so did Mofatt from what he said in that show. I still think Bill Nighy IS Doctor Who, and for me should be who they aimed for. Him being 26? well Its all about how he plays it, I think they're going to go a lot darker in this series so he may be a bit more of an old school doctor, less Tennant action/dashing hero, maybe a bit of McGann/Hartnell mix.

His companion pick has to be spot on though, it could end up looking like Skins in space.

  9. I hate when the rumours come out with shit like 'Oh Billie Piper!' fuck off.

It'll never be a woman, and nor should it. The moment that happens I'll stop watching, he can change his face but he is essentially A MAN. There are women timelords as well, so I hate when people try to change things like that.

I personally really hope its Bill Nighy, for me he would be absolutley brilliant.

  10. Have to agree with the RocknRolla comments. If you want an enjoyable 2 hours go see it. Some great comedic moments in this, and the last half an hour of the film is cracking. People will obviously criticise it, but fuck em, its a great popcorn movie.Great soundtrack as well, and I think it will probably 'age' better than lock stock and snatch
