  1. The 1st thing I need to say is.....

    WRESTLEMANIA BABY!!!!

I thought the show was extremly solid pretty much throughout. The booking was very strong, although did have some holes at times (when has WWE booking ever been completly hole free?).

I know theres been plenty already, but for anyone who's intrested, here's my mini-reveiw:

The intro video was great as always. I cant wait for someone to cap it. The McMahon ending was thought-provoking. That babies probably gonna be a 5th generation promotor! Is Vince Passing the torch to Shane? It would be a great time to do so, on the 20th anniversary of the event that changed the sport, but it would look more likliy so happen at WM25, since Vince doesn't show any signs of stopping soon.

    Big show vs John Cena

Well played out. Cena's reaction to the F-U kickout was trememdous, he realy sold the fact he had nothing left to defeat the Big Show. I was hoping for a debut of a new, more solid finisher, but the chain/brass knux finish work very well.

Jindrak & Cade vs Dudley Boyz vs La Resistance vs RVD & Booker T

This match made me realise just how genericly similar La Rez & J&C are. Typical Wrestlemania filler match. Did anyone excect a classic?

    Chris Jericho vs Christian

Very good match. Lots of emotion, although the finish seemed a little baffling. Its gonna be embarasingly bad to watch the RAW writers 'explanation' me thinks. That said, I think it certainly paid off as the first match (of many I hope!) of the feud.

Evolution vs The Rock and Sock Connection

Great match IMO.The match was exactly what you would expect from the competitors. The Rock-Flair stuff was very well done, and Foleys involvment had me marking out constantly throughout the match. It was definatly during this match that it REALY started feeling like a Wrestlemania.

The Hall of Fame segment was very emotional, and it was great to see some of those names getting the recognition the deserve. This deserved to be on the card more than 60% of the matches.

Torrie Wilson & Sable vs Miss Jackie & Stacy Kiebler

Meh. Excellent match for T&A, props to the camera crew. Apart from that, not much good can be said about this. Just your average non-wrestling womens match.

    Cruiserweight Open

Not very long, but did anyone out there actualy expect otherwise. There all under 6' and half of them we're Japanese. I think people are fogetting whos booking here. I felt so sorry for Ultimo. At least he made up for it in the ring.

It was great for what it was, a Smackdown style spotfest, with every wrestler hitting most of there highspots. No Malenko :( but I don't think he would have made that much of an impact to the type of match it was.

    Brock Lesner vs Bill Goldberg

I had made a 'no internet pact' with myself for the past few days, just to avolid any badly labled spoilers, so I had no idea about the Lesner NFL thing till JR mentioned it.

I wish someone would have tear-gassed the crowd during this one, they totaly ruined a potentialy good match with all their damn smug smart-markedness. I was realy getting annoyed with them.

I'm sure this match would have been better if the crowd hadn't eunanamously decided to take a dump on both competitors before the match had even started. To be honest, If I were Goldberg or Lesner, even if it was Wrestlemania, I don't know if I could realy be arsed doing anything than walk through the match if the people your risking your body out there to entertain acted like that.

The match seemed like it would have been on the same level as Taker-Kane if the crowd weren't such smark mark bitches.

Rikishi & Scotty vs The Bashams vs Worlds Greatest Tag Team vs APA

Another filler match to calm the crowd down by boring them. Bad finish, but I guess they need to build another tag team up. How can a WWE Tag Team Champions gimmick be his ass? How can a WWE Tag Team Champions gimmick be his ass still after 5-6 years?!?

    Victoria vs Molly

Wow! They actualy went throuth the stip. I honesty thought that was one of those things the WWE say to get a couple more buys.

Technicaly a pretty good match. Its a shame the average fan would put them in the same catagory as Torrie and Stacy.

    Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero

No MOTY, but extremly solid, and one of the best Wrestlemania matches in history.

    Eddie can make psychology fun!~

Great finish. I can honestly say I havn't even heard of that finish being used before.

Good to see WWE sticking Eddie, I was expecting to see them bail after the 1st month.

    Undertaker vs Kane

I don't see why people complained about Takers apperence. Its 2004, not 1997, wrestlings changed. A full on zombie style deadman (although did anone else notice the very slight make-up job round the eyes? or was Taker just tired?) would never fit in this day and age. I like the hybrid. Maybe he could have lost the MMA gloves, but the stetson, black hair and Ministry trowsers did enough for me.

To reply to what some people have said, how the hell can he cover up his neck tattoo? Wrestle in a polo-neck? Try and alter it to a 'darker' work using felt-tip pen? Its a tattoo. Deal with it!

The entrance was worth a whole year of mark-outs all in one. I'd probably say its my favourite 'non-wrestling' moment of wrestling.

As for the match, it was Taker vs Kane, its not like we didn't know what to expect. But it got Taker over without making Kane look too weak.

HHH vs Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels

MOTN, MOTY, MOTYC, whatever you want to call it, this match was extremly well booked all the way though, and until I watch it again, I cant say anything bad about this match at all.

The table spot was great, and the match realy had some powerful drama to it. I think I woke most of the house up shouting "GET THE FUCK IN THERE BENOIT!!!" when HBK had the cover not so long after the table spot.

It was also a nice surprise to see HHH putting over Benoit 100% cleanly, fair play to him. It was a triple-threat, so he could have avoided the job pretty easily, allowing his character to bitch and moan about never being pinned, but he didn't.

As for Benoit becoming champ: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you didn't get goosebumps when Benoit and Eddie hugged in the ring with tears in there eyes, then what the hell kind of wrestling fan are you?

I thought it was a very good Wrestlemania. Certainly not the best, but it was never anything worse than average, witch for a WWE PPV is a real plus.

Now, after writing all of that (I started reading this thread as WM went off the air, then started writing this. Now its 10 to 8!)please can at least one person read it? :)

  2. Its a while back now, but Steve Austins return match against Bischoff. It was a kinda dream match, along with the return of Austin, and the real life storyline between Austin and Bischoff made it very memorable for me. Shame they tarnished it by having them feud pointlessly all year, and the 'Redneck Triathalon' :duh:
