Dunny Posted August 6, 2012 Author Share Posted August 6, 2012 Â This massive tag team main event was set up at the conclusion of Mystery & Mayhem at The Sports Arena. In the big main event, Colossus Kennedy looked like he had Rampage beat after a big chokeslam off the top rope and crawled his way across to make the pin. But before he could get there his former boss, Nathan Cruz came out looking for revenge following 4th Anniversary Show and grabbed the leg of the monster. The distraction allowed Rampage to recover and hit a low blow leading to a massive samoan drop and the victory for the still NGW Champion. Â This brought out Cruz's opponent from earlier in the evening, Stixx who went after The Showstealer. Stixx was then in turn attacked by the NGW Champion who had beaten him at the 4th Anniversary show the previous month with less than honest tactics. It was Stixx who got the upperhand this time though with some vicious forearms all the way to the back. Â Colossus saw his opportunity as Cruz watched on in the ring and came up behind to hit a second chokeslam on Cruz in as many shows. After 3 years as s strong unit in Cruz Enterpises, Colossus has finally decided he has had enough of being bossed around and the pair certainly have some bad blood that needs airing. Â Stixx is always passionate about everything he does and feels he deserves another shot at the NGW Championship following the way Rampage won at 4th Anniversary Show. Stixx is still determined to fulfill his dream and become the NGW Champion. Â Stixx & Colossus of course had a huge year long battle with Stixx being the first man to not only knock Colossus off his feet but also the first to beat Colossus in NGW. The battle played a huge part in the demise of Cruz Enterprises as Cruz showed a lack of faith in Colossus and tried to stop a one on one contest with Colossus & Stixx in fear of Cruz Enterprises looking weak. Stixx & Colossus ended their battle at Eternal Glory 2011 with a sign of mutual respect earned from one another by the fight they gave each other, much to the disappointment of Cruz. Caz Crash has emerged with new level of confidence in 2012 and recently won his roster spot by beating Martin Kirby, meaning Kirby lost his. A standout trainee of the NGW Academy, Caz won that with help from his new found friends. He claimed they didnt need to be on Proving Ground shows any more and deserved a spot on the main shows as they are already 'Proven'. Â At Proving Ground VI this weekend Caz debuted the newest member of his group in Scott Adams. The group continued to try to make a statement at the expense of trainee Tommy Idol until regular roster members Matt Myers & Avian made the save. This led to a 6 man tag main event later in the evening when Proven member Sam Wilder cheated to help get the victory for his team. Wilder suffered at the hands of his opponents after the match but Myers wasnt done there and wanted to get his hands on the leader of The Proven, Caz at Summer Smash Brawl 5. Â This new group are really starting to make a statement in NGW already. All 3 members have a huge amount of potential but the ego in them believes they've already fulfilled their potential and deserves more chances than they've received. They seem intent on not just waiting, but grabbing every opportunity with two hands. Caz accepted the challenge with the message that beating a former NGW champion will send out a big statement. Â At the start of the show this video was shown - and it was announced that the anonymous general manager had forced 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz to make a public apology for his actions on NGW property and if he didn't. there would be dire consequences. Â Matt Myers beat Caz Crash following messed up interference from Proven members Sam Wilder & Scott Adams. Â The Predators beat Avian and Robbie X Â The time came as Cruz was called out to make a public apology for his actions but Cruz refused and said he doesn't have to answer to anyone and claimed despite his recent 'misfortune' he was still the best in NGW. NGW Champion Rampage Brown came out after taking exception to the claims from his tag team partner for the evening. Stixx then came out and agreed with Rampage that the man with the belt should be recognised as the best but if Rampage hadn't cheated at 4th Anniversary Show, Stixx would be the 'best'. Stixx then pointed out to Cruz what he had lost recently (the belt, the rematch, the rumble, the tag title shot, his agent and his body guard). Something in Cruz seemed to flip and he couldn't handle being called a loser. Rampage & Cruz attacked Stixx leading to new favourite, Colossus Kennedy making the save for his partner for the evening and former long term opponent. Colossus was desperate to get his hands on his former employer, Cruz. Â Dara Diablo beat Sam Bailey. Following the match Diablo was attacked by the Predators as a clear sign of their intentions on the tag belts. Robbie X & Avian made the save and both looked longingly at Diablo's tag belt. Â Mad Man Manson beat Bam Bam Barton with Manson usual antics. Manson was very popular with everyone in the crowd on his debut. He finally left the ring with no trunks on, completely covered in a black drape.... Â Matt Myers V Rampage Brown for the NGW Championship was announced for NGW's return to Eastmount at Full Force on Saturday 6th October. Matt Myers, finally gets his rematch. Â Colosuss and Stixx beat Rampage Brown and Nathan Cruz with Stixx pinning NGW Champion, Rampage Brown. Stixx said he'd be watching the main event of Full Force very closely in Myer's rematch and was very much looking forward to going against Rampage one on one whether the title was involved or not. Â After the match it was revealed that word had just been received that the anonymous General Manager's punishment for Cruz was a one on one match with Colossus at Full Force!
