Undisputed Tag Team Gold?????

versus-tagunification.jpg

Adam Shame has absolutely dominated the W3L Tag Team Title scene for the best part of a year, having destroyed previous champions the Disco Biscuits alongside partner Falcon. Since then, he and Falcon had a bitter war over the Tag Titles, with Shamer prevailing and then aligning himself with former bitter rival Eric Canyon. The duo declared themselves as “A & E”, quite simply because that is the only destination available for their downed opponents!

Since then, the pair have set their sights on becoming the most dominant Tag Team Scotland wide. Aiming to pick up SWA Tag Gold along their way. However, there is one major obstable in A & E’s way – The SWA Tag Team Champions; the mountains of muscle; the explosive Weapons of Mass Destruction!

Since forming in 2010, the WMD’s have found themselves downing team after team. Each one falling, unable to compete with not only the unadulterated strength of John “The Bomb” Graham and the “Heatseeker” Nathan Black, but also their uncanny agility, much more common with cruiserweights than men standing at 20 stone and above!

This should be an absolutely mammoth match up. A&E’s 20+ Years experience versus the WMD’s power, strength and youthful aggression. W3L Tag Titles vs. SWA Tag Titles – Winner Takes All!!!!

A first ever?

Nikki Storm has been a great success as the W3L Women’s Champion, winning the vacated title after a year long all-women’s tournament, defeating Viper in the final. Since then, she has held the belt for over a year and a half, taking on all comers and proving exactly why her star power rises by the day. However, all of this has not gone unnoticed by the volatile former Champion, who was stripped for reasons still undisclosed after 2 and a half years!!

The Siren known as Sara, was undoubtedly the Queen of W3L, sitting on her throne for years as the most dominant female wrestler the company had ever seen. She downed some of the biggest names in Britain, including Saraya Knight and WWE’s Paige in her quest for glory. However, her actions were unbefitting of a Champion and the W3L management stripped her of her prize and banished her from competing. Over the course of those three years, Sara has kept her eye on her precious W3L Women’s Title, and watched as Nikki Storm flourished as its Champion.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before Sara would eventually look to regain her crown, and in Penicuik, Sara did just that. She attacked Nikki Storm following her successful title defense against Carmel, and stole the W3L Women’s belt for herself, quickly escaping before security could get ahold of her.

This didn’t sit well with W3L Management, and they have used every legal aid in their arsenal to procure the Title. However, Nikki Storm rejected the opportunity to regain her title by hand, knowing full well that former Champion Sara, technicaly never lost the belt to begin with and would not rest until she held it once more. Instead, Storm put it forward to management that the two fight to determine the true Champion, to put the issue to rest once and for all!

The W3L management have thought long and hard on the subject and came up with a match befitting of such a contest. As both competitors have a legitimate claim to the title, neither will enter with the strap, instead, the strap will be strung 15 feet above the ring and the two will compete in the first ever Womens Ladder match!

Full Results from Stirling (taken from W3Lwrestling.com) :-

All the pics from Clash of the Titans now up over at http://www.facebook.com/pages/W3L-SWA/178337052277686 - check them out and "like" the page. Thanks to David J Wilson

The Clash of the Titans was clearly set to be a spectacle from the moment wrestling fans entered the Albert Halls and saw the entrance way with 2 big screens, W3L and SWA logos which where also hanging from the busy balcony along with the Clash of the Titans banner itself. The crew where also dressed in full roman attire and the camera's where ready to roll capturing the event which will be released soon on DVD (stay tuned to W3Lwrestling.com) - visually the set up in the Albert Halls made for a fantastic back drop for the action that would follow.

The opening contest was a fast paced affair with "Reaver" Taylor Bryden challenging Martin Kirby. Bryden has gone on record stating he saw this contest as a chance to "make an impact" and went on to do just that, picking up the win after hitting the "Paradise Kiss" and scoring a pin fall on Kirby.

SWA and W3L number one contenders would then "Clash" as Mikey Whiplash and Mike Musso squared off for the first time. Musso managed to over power Whiplash in the early stages however Whiplash took control after superplexing Musso from the top rope. Musso fought back and began attempting to hook Whiplash up for his firemans carry DDT which has spelled the end for Musso's opponents in recent months. Out of no where Whiplash reversed a pinning combination and using the ropes for leverage pinned Musso and picked up a controversial victory.

Next we made history at Clash of the Titans with the first ever Ladies Ladder match. Sara appeared on the big screen before the match in an interview where she insisted that she was the W3L Womens Champion and the match should not have been taking place. This match got ugly quickly with the two accomplished female grapplers brawling on the stage. Storm used the ladder to her advantage nailing Sara with a cross body from high above the ring and latter using the extra height to hit a devastating tornado DDT. Storm however would find herself trapped in a Texas clover leaf submission which Sara held onto before making a bid to climb the ladder and snatch the W3L Womens Championship belt. Storm however managed to recover enough to tip the ladder, and Sara, over the top rope. This was enough to keep the vicious former champion down and Nikki was able to climb the ladder and grab the W3L womens gold eliminating any question as to who is the undisputed W3L Womens Champion.

Clash of the Titans continued its history making in the following contest which saw the W3L and SWA tag team titles unified. W3L champions Adam Shame and Eric Canyon took on the SWA champions Weapons of Mass Destruction (John "The Bomb" Graham and Nathan Black). This match descended into chaos with the 4 wrestlers brawling all over the Albert Halls, Eric and Adam managed to put up a strong fight against powerhouse WMD
