Mafia Scum Scum
Does anybody really find the UEWA interesting at all? Â It has been going on for a while now and I haven't seen anybody but the topic poster talk about it in this and the previous topic they used. Â What sounded like an interesting idea at the time obviously hasn't worked, drawn anybody to any shows etc, so just drop it in the bin next to the BWC and wait for the binman to dispose if it. Paid Members neil's bitch Posted October 4, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 4, 2011 I personally love the UEWA idea, it might not be a "Big" or "New" concept but its a simple idea that works on at least one level. If you book one of the guys on your show, it brings a bit of interest as well as if any body does bother to look it up, then can see it is actually a proper european title! Â Again, i dont expect the UEWA name in itself to draw anything but it means something to the wrestlers (to be champion of europe) and allows various promoters to share talent/ideas/etc and seems to be fairly successful in that respect. Â Great stuff!

SSW
Shooting Star Wrestling leaving UEWA! Â As of October 1st, the Union Of European Wrestling Alliances and English promotion Shooting Star Wrestling have decided to part ways. Â Shooting Star Wrestling has been one of two promotions re-presenting England in the UEWA in co-existance with All Star Wrestling and been part of the UEWA from day one. After not promoting shows for more than one year now and no plans for any future shows at the moment, both parties agreed to separate ways. Â If Shooting Star Wrestling returns to active competition one day, the UEWA will happily welcome them back. As England is already covered by All Star Wrestling, we will not be looking for a substitute but rely on All Star Wrestling as our sole partner. At this time, we would like to thank SSW for their work and wish the guys behind SSW all the best for their future endeavours! Â As of October 1st, the UEWA now consists of ten promotions from Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Spain and Wales. UEWA is always open to aspiring European promotions from countries who are not already covered by the UEWA yet. Â Â More information regarding UEWA and all its member promotions can be found at www.uewa.eu and www.facebook.com/uewawrestling .

Forrest
Personally, I think the idea of having a true pan-European championship is a fantastic idea. So, do you work with any promotions or wrestlers at all who want to get involved? I'm always a fan of promotions working together, particularly if they can leave the politics at the front door. Good luck!

Good luck! The UEWA works as a democracy between the members. If a promotion from a country not covered wants to join, they are vetted for quality and reputation and voted on. Based on approval, title matches will take place in non-member promotions where the Champion is appearing as long as his opponent is European and meeting the weight requirements for whichever belt is on the line. SSW
Wait, aren't SSW the promotion that got this thing started? Sorry for the late response. SSW were a founding member but not the ones who started the UEWA.      Sean South defeating all odds, still champion!  November 12th marked the fourth title defense for European Cruiserweight champion Sean South. Less than one week after this title defense against La Pulga, South travelled to Pavia, Italy, where five hungry Italian wrestlers were waiting for him, vowing to keep the title in Italy.   Close to the 13 minute mark, the two tag team partners Omega and Nemesi were fighting each other in the middle of the ring with Omega delivering his finishing move Il Marchio to Nemesi. When Sean South realized he was about to lose the title without even getting pinned he entered the ring out of nowhere got rid of Omega and used the situation to pin the unconscious Nemesi for a successful three count, once again proving to be one of the smartest wrestlers today.   After defeating nine wrestlers (BT Gunn, Noam Dar, Chris Rampage, La Pulga, Psycho Mike, Dinamite Jo, Il Corvo Bianco, Nemesi & Omega) in less than one month, South is still going strong, waiting for more challengers to be announced in the next days.   European Cruiserweight Champion: Sean South (won May 21st, 2011 in Oslo, Norway, beating Kid Fite)  1st title defense: beat Liam Thomson (September 10th, 2011 in Alloa, Scotland)  2nd title defense: beat BT Gunn, Noam Dar & Chris Rampage in a four way match (October 15th, 2011 in Newcastle, England)  3rd title defense: beat La Pulga (November 6th, 2011 in Barcelona, Spain)  4th title defense: beat Psycho Mike, Dinamite Jo, Il Corvo Bianco, Nemesi & Omega in a six way match (November 12th, 2011 in Pavia, Italy)    Upcoming Title Defenses  TBA  More information regarding UEWA and all its member promotions can be found at www.uewa.eu and www.facebook.com/uewawrestling .
