DRAGON GATE USA on PPV - October 30, 2010, Rahway, NJ - (2 hrs)

October 30, 2010, Rahway, NJ - Fall River Rahway Rec Center (792 fans)

1. Jimmy Jacobs -vs- Arik Cannon [* 1/4]

--- Got good in the end, but the first half was absolutely terrible. Poorly executed and not looking good. But the later stages Jacobs's skull got opened for blood pouring and Cannon landed a bunch of finishers for Jacobs to kick out of so he could win with the End Time!

11:47 of 12:12 - Jacobs made Cannon submit to a front necklock

2. BxB Hulk & Homicide -vs- Akira Tozawa & Jon Moxley [** 1/2]

--- A real energetic tag where the mixed Japan/USA teams worked well together. Surprisingly well. Sure, the main focuses was gaijin vs gaijin and Japanese vs Japanese, but it worked out so well with Tozawa showing himself a cool supporting heel for Moxley's sleezyness. Loads of action getting the crowd hot until Hulk murdered Tozawa with the FTX dropping him hard on the neck! Moxley and Homicide kept fighting around the arena quite a few more minutes after the match.

13:31 of 13:31 - Hulk pinned Tozawa after the FTX

3. CIMA -vs- Shingo Takagi [** 3/4]

--- A real solid display of Dragon Gate big match action formula for the American fans. And while it was little new to people who follow Dragon Gate in Japan, this was just what the American fans wanted and needed. Competitive as fuck! Finisher mania! And with loads or adrenaline kick-outs! Not always the best way to lay out a match, but it was executed well enough and with enough energy to work in front of the fresh crowd. CIMA did have a partial miss on his springboard summersault kick, but it slid off Shingo's face enough to make some saving damage. Apart from that there was little to complain about. And the Dragon Gate Icon CIMA gets the big US win landing the top rope double-knees!

17:09 of 17:10 - CIMA pinned Takagi after the Meteora

4. Chuck Taylor & Rich Swann & Johnny Gargano -vs- Genki Horiguchi & Austin Aries & Ricochet [***]

--- Just a massive spotfest of massive porportions. Great fun! Hardly the deepest of fights, but that doesn't matter. The young 'kanos side of Gargano, Swan & Taylor showed their main skills. And thats speedy, flashy, flying aggression! These are guys that's worked on the undercard of these Dragon Gate USA shows for a while now and here they get their big break in the semi-main event against freelancer Aries, Warriors' Genki and fellow promising super flyer Ricochet. And they managed to entertain with all their twists and turns keeping the fans engaged in the action as there was never a clear team in advantage. So in the end the teamwork of Tayor, Swan & Gergano got them the win landing a series of devestating moves to have Ricochet beat!

21:13 of 21:13 - Gargano pinned Ricochet after the Hurts Donut

5. Masato Yoshino -vs- YAMATO [**]

--- Then for the main event and they were unable to keep up the same level as the other matches it followed. Too mechanical and dancy as well as worked a lot lighter then the other matches. Yoshino didn't convice the American fans here that he is the top dog in Dragon Gate Japan. Even if he did get the win over YAMATO close to choking him out with the Sol Naciente. The match had it's moments and was solid, but they were unable to create any magic.

23:42 of 23:41 - Yoshino made YAMATO submit to the Sol Naciente

COMMENTS: A overall positive Dragon Gate USA PPV with enough matches delivering the good stuff!

SMASH on Samurai TV - October 30, 2010, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

October 30, 2010, Tokyo - Shinjuku FACE (590 fans)

1. Kim Nun Pun & Danny Duggan -vs- Yusuke Kodama & Lin Bairon [1/2*]

--- The heels where not taking the weak babyface stuff lightly and Kim showed how a real man treats a lady just grabbing her arms and pressing her down for the pin.

5:07 of 8:27 - Pun pinned Bairon by force

2. Shuri & Nagisa Nozaki -vs- Toshie Uematsu & Tomoko Nakagawa [3/4*]

--- Womens action pushing Shuri as the joshi star in SMASH fighting off what Uematsu & Nozaki came with and then getting the upset beating Uematsu with a knee to the head Shining-style with Uematsu standing up right. The actual execution of the match was rough and weak.

7:21 of 7:21 - Shuri pinned Uematsu after high-angle Shining Wizard

3. Hajime Ohara -vs- Akira Shoji [1/4*]

--- A win in no-time for Ohara with a fancy cradle! Things are finally going his way! It's not going Shoji's way. He now has a feud going with..... Yoshiaki Yago.

1:21 of 1:21 - Ohara pinned Shoji modified bridging cradle

4. Mentallo -vs- El Samurai [*]

--- Mentallo getting a push in SMASH after a strong match against Kenny Omega a couple of months ago. Now he faces longtime New Japan wrestler El Samurai and gets to be competitive with him. Samurai had his moments locking in the chickenwing hold and reverse DDT'ing Mentallo out on the floor, but Mentallo fought out and surprisingly managed to beat the old man landing a moonsault in his face! And as a gift he gets to face none other then Jushin Thunder Liger on the next SMASH show - one-on-one!!!

8:33 of 9:41 - Mentallo pinned Samurai after a moonsault

5. Tajiri & Akira -vs- Dimitri Soliotopoulos & Omen [* 1/4]

--- SMASH guys facing a weird European team of Dimitri & Omen and it was hardly a great match even if it was interesting seeing these two Europeans for the first time. Didn't really impress and Tajiri took care of the French based one with a Buzzsaw.

10:38 of 11:15 - Tajiri pinned Soliotopoulos after a Buzzsaw headkick

6. Mike Mondo © -vs- Kushida - (OVW Title) [** 1/2]

--- Slow start, so I wasn't expecting much at first. First time I see Mondo and he wrestled in a very textbook technical manner with Kushida following his style well. But I started caring more and more for Kushida and him eying a major win getting really close cradles and landing the moonsault for a real hot moment. Then he missed the Midnight Express and soon found himself tapping to a real nice Texas Cloverleaf bending the way it should be done!

21:02 of 21:02 - Mondo made Kushida submit to a Texas Cloverleaf to retain the OVW Title.

COMMENTS: The undercard didn't bring much apart from a quick win for Ohara and some weak women's action. But the main event grew real well!

NOAH on G+SN - October 30, 2010, Tokyo - (3 hrs)

October 30, 2010, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall (2,100 fans)

1. Akira Taue -vs- Takashi Okita [1/2*]

--- Taue matches are no longer something to look forward to.....

6:21 of 6:21 - Taue pinned Okita after a chokeslam

20101031101.jpg

2. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Taiji Ishimori & Ricky Marvin & Satoshi Kajiwara -vs- Yasu Urano & Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada & Kenbai [** 1/2]

--- Leftovers from the Junior Tag League. The ones that didn't reach the semis in a big mash-down 8-man tag featuring guys from DDT, Michinoku Pro, Osaka Pro, Kensuke Office and NOAH. And they had a quick to-the-point action match lighting up the place with flashy wrestling filled with dives and clever wrestling to get the place alive. My favourites was Ishimori's moonsault out from the ring and Marvins corkscrew dive! Nakajima had the honors of ending it kicking down Yuki Sato under the Kenbaio mask down and out.

8:40 of 8:40 - Nakajima pinned Kenbai after a high headkick

20101031107.jpg

3. KENTA & Atsushi Aoki -vs- Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger - (Junior Tag League - Semi-Final) [**]

--- Evans & Extreme Tiger showing off their wild style with Tiger doing a Firebird Splash from the top rope to the floor and Evans flippin' and dippin' all over the place in his own indy ways. Quite fun and I think quite a few fans was scared when it looked like Evans was going to pin KENTA with the bridging cradle of his. Thankfully KENTA kicked out and beat the shit out of the prick!

9:26 of 9:21 - KENTA pinned Evans after the Go 2 Sleep

20101031127.jpg

4. Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong -vs- Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki - (Junior Tag League - Semi-Final) [** 1/4]

--- ROH against NOAH and it was a fairly flowing bout with Ogawa being the center of attention it felt like. It was at least his stuff that stood out most for me as he battled the foreigners. Some clever, some funny and some good wrestling stuff with Ogawa looking like he was about to win beating up Edwards with backdrops. Then Ogawa went for a cross-armbreaker and all Edwards did was get up and press Ogawa down for the pin surprising the veteran surpriser.

11:19 of 11:21 - Edwards pinned Ogawa with a cross-armbreaker cut-back cradle

5. Kensuke Sasaki -vs- Shuhei Taniguchi [** 1/4]

--- Taniguchi keeps trying against established stars and as usual he fails. But this was one of his stronger attempts managing to hurt Sasaki's main strike arm early on to get quite a bit of the offence. Suplexing the heavyweight star nicely too. Well, old Sasaki can do what Taniguchi can and even a little better so Tanuguchi was soon pounded down and suplexed to hell.....

12:25 of 12:25 - Sasaki pinned Taniguchi after a lariat

6. Great Sasuke & Dick Togo -vs- Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi [**]

--- Old school Michinoku Pro wrestling with Sasuke & Togo together against the heel NOAH side of Kanemaru & Genba. And it was the Sasuke & Dick show running things and giving the fans what they wanted. Togo the wrestling. Sasuke the show. And Genba as the poor sucker. Loved the end where Sasuke just dived out from the ring and then the two murdered Genba for the win landing the top rope senton and the Segway.

14:30 of 14:31 - Sasuke pinned Hirayanagi after the Sasuke Segway

20101031166.jpg

7. Takashi Sugiura & Go Shiozaki & Mohammed Yone -vs- Yoshihiro Takayama & Takuma Sano & Masao Inoue [**]

--- You had the heavyweight stars of the company fighting it out with the important exchanges between the heavyweight champ Sugiura fighting Takayama and stuff like that. But you also had a lot of Inoue....making the match a joke. Slightly amusing with his chickenshit rutine and with the award at the end as Inoue was beat, but with so many stars it would have been better for everyone had they kept a serious straight line.

21:56 of 21:59 - Yone pinned Inoue after a Muscle Buster

20101031188.jpg

8. KENTA & Atsushi Aoki -vs- Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong - (Junior Tag League - Final) [*** 1/2]

--- And the show finishes off with an epic styled junior heavyweight tournament final which worked! Getting the fans all excited and bringing so many twist and turns to rise the Korakuen Hall atmosphere high! Felt the ROH guys wasn't showing much personality and worked a little too mechanical, but Edwards did get a chants going for him as he's starting to be a regular favourite with the fans having been in the NOAH dojo a while and those two did land loads of great moves. So it was up to KENTA and expecially Aoki to show the heart and lift the match that way. And having his big climax sequence with Edwards provided an strong ending to a already deep solid main event with Aoki using his Assult Point backdrop suplex to beat Edwards for the tournament victory!

27:59 of 28:01 - Aoki pinned Edwards with a leg-hook backdrop suplex hold. KENTA & Aoki win the Junior Tag League '10.

COMMENTS: A very good show from NOAH. It's not everyday their shows delivers a show like this where almost every match had something to offer with the show ending the way a show should end, with a high note!

YUZUPON MATSURI on COMM - October 31, 2010, Tokyo - (1 3/4 hrs)

October 31, 2010, Tokyo - Shin-Kiba 1st RING (442 fans)

1. Hailey Hatred -vs- Basara [1/2*]

--- Rather boring and the fans didn't care for it either it seemed. And then Basara managed to hurt herself when she was leeping off the top rope with a knee to a standing Hailey and twisted her knee on the landing unable to continue.

8:39 of 8:37 - Hailey defeated Basara via Referee Stop

2. Yoko Bito -vs- Eri Susa - (Stardom Exhibition Match) [1/4*]

--- Two of the wrestlers training with the STARDOM crew having a exhibition bout being all weak and awkward.....

3:00 of 3:00 - Bito wrestled Susa to a 3:00 Time Limit Draw

3. Tomoka Nakagawa -vs- Hiroyo Matsumoto -vs- Natsuki*Taiyo - (3-Way) [*]

--- 3-way action with the flow problems and ridiculous 3-way spots. But compared to whats been on the show so far it had enough to entertain with Nakagawa winning with a schoolboy on Matsumoto at the same time as Matsumoto was killing Natsuki with the backdrop suplex.

12:45 of 12:46 - Nakagawa pinned Matsumoto with a schoolboy

201010310002-spnavi_2010103100003_view.jpg

4. Nanae Takahashi -vs- Yuzuki Aikawa - (Aikawa Debut Match) [* 1/2]

--- Pretty girl, martial artist, model, whatever, making her debut as a pro-wrestler. And she's a TOTAL Fuka clone! It's like we got rid of the original earlier in 2010 and now toward the end of the year we get a copy called Aikawa with the same costume, looks and style! And some of the stuff she did looked good too and at the same time not totally at home in the ring, just like Fuka! So it became the glamorized competitive match between a established worker in Nanae giving Aikawa more then she deserved on the way to beating her. Some of Aikawa's trademark moves taken from Fuka's arsenal was the fishermans buster and axekick along with a lot of regular kicking. Wasn't stopping Nanae though and the end came with a splash!

13:51 of 13:51 - Takahashi pinned Aikawa with a top rope bodypress

COMMENTS: This is a part of the STARDOM promotion upstart with focus on the new idol queen of joshi Yuzuki Aikawa making her debut before the promotion starts in 2011 with training and promotional type features. This is a total Fuka Matsuri type deal and Fuka is also one of her trainers. Coolest thing was seeing Rossy Ogawa looking like a pimp!

OWASHI PRO on Samurai TV - October 31, 2010, Sapporo - (2 hrs)

October 31, 2010, Sapporo - Saku City Gym (2,800 fans)

1. Francesco Togo & Condotti Shuji & Antonio Honda & Milanito Collection at -vs- Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu & Brahman Jaki(Numazawa) & Ken45 [* 1/2]

--- Wow! The Italian Connection and the Italian 4 Horsemen join forces and "brother" YASSHI did the rap during the enterance! Awesome! The match was fun in a indy way with a lot of Antonio Honda 'Dusty' stuff. Typical these guys action until Kei got his face filled with powder and little Milanito rolled up one of the twins.

9:02 of 12:14 - Milanito pinned Kei with a backslide

2. Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega -vs- Minoru & Daisuke Sasaki [** 1/4]

--- Golden Lovers against Minoru & Sasaki! And this was a nice psotfest where Ibushi & Omega dominated with their flashy stuff! Leeps from everywhere and plenty of fun action. Minoru & Sasaki tried their best to keep up and Sasaki did land a fine top rope elbow, but otherwise he was fairly helpless and was put away in the end with a Phoenix Splash from Ibushi.

10:35 of 17:30 - Ibushi pinned Sasaki after a Phoenix Splash

3. Great Kojika & Daisuke Sekimoto & Abdullah Kobayashi -vs- Yoshihiro Takayama & Dump Matsumoto & Yuki Sato [* 3/4]

--- Kojika, you old dog! Kissing Dump Matsumoto! Of course that gave him a bad taste in his mouth! This was mostly about little Sato trying to be one of Dump's gang. Crane Yu(ki) they kept calling him. Fun tag with Sato failing badly to impress his dangerous partners.

9:57 of 14:53 - Kobayashi pinned Sato after a top rope bodypress

4. 15-Person Chanko Royal Rumble [* 1/2]

--- A fun Rumble and it has to be seen just for Danshoku Dino's enterance masturbating over everyone and molesting a bunch of children! Insane motherfucker! The actual Rumble was won by an secret X participant. Zero-One's Shinjiro Otani!

(3:09) - Nagisa Nozaki eliminated

(3:23) - Cherry eliminated

(5:01) - Sanshiro Takagi eliminated

(6:08) - Jet Shogo eliminated

(10:22) - Jun Kasai eliminated

(10:35) - Hoshitango & Futoshi Miwa eliminated

(11:17) - Masao Orihara eliminated

(12:40) - Masato Inaba eliminated

(13:03) - Hercules Senga eliminated

(17:40) - NOSAWA Rongai eliminated

(17:43) - Minoru Fujita eliminated

(18:56) - Danshoku Dino eliminated

(19:54) - Makoto Oishi eliminated

19:54 of 24:29 - Shinjiro Otani win the 15-Person Chanko Royal Rumble

5. Toru Owashi & Ultimo Dragon & HARASHIMA -vs- Genichiro Tenyru & TARU & Takuya Sugawara - (Owashi's 10th Anniversary Match) [* 1/2]

--- Owashi celebrating 10 years in pro-wrestling with old friends, heroes and mentors. A typical tribute match with the biggest moment in the match was when Owashi could fight old Tenryu who could barely stand again falling over when trying a chop. Time to retire old man. Anyway, Owashi got the happy win over Sugawara after all had deliverd a finisher on the loser.

19:28 of 19:27 - Owashi pinned Sugawara after a powerbomb

COMMENTS: Fun show. Nothing too serious, but it collected enough entertaining guys who were happy to be there.

OSAKA PRO on COMM - July 3-31, 2010, Osaka - (2 hrs)

July 3, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (185 fans)

1. Black Buffalo & Orochi & The Bodyguard -vs- Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada & Hayata

--- Clipped highlights with Hayata much on the receiving end. And rightfully so. Especially fun seeing Bodyguard ram him down before Buffalo locked in a special submission hold to defeat him.

2:31 of 10:17 - Buffalo made Hayata submit to a reversed modifed full-nelson

2. Hideyoshi & Masamune & Ranmaru -vs- Kuishinbo Kamen & Ebessan III & Kanjuro Matsuyama [1/4*]

--- Comedy 'highlights'.....

3:49 of 13:51 - Ranmaru made Kuishinbo submit to a Cobra Clutch

3. Tigers Mask -vs- Genki Horiguchi - (Open the Brave Gate Title) [*]

--- Heel Genki trying to get the Dragon Gate gold back to the promotion, but this is Tigers Mask's home turth and Genki wasn't going to get it easy. Rather the opposite as this was a messy bout with interferances, cheating and finishers coming fast without generating anything super. Genki was very close with a backslide, but the referee was distracted at the last second and from then on Tigers Mask went on to retain the Open the Brave Gate Title for the 3rd time.

7:19 of 16:34 - Tigers Mask defeated Horiguchi via Referee Stop with the Zatopek Hold to retain the Open the Brave Gate Title in his 3rd defence.

July 9, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (206 fans)

4. CIMA -vs- Black Buffalo - (Osaka Pro Title) [* 1/2]

--- CIMA making his #1 defence of the Osaka belt against one of Osaka's best in Black Buffalo. No need to guess who was the favourite of the Osaka fans.... And they loved it when Buffalo got his near falls with his drivers and lariats! The place was hot. CIMA also busted out a bunch of his finishers for Buffalo to kick out until the Meteora landed and CIMA could keep his belt. Fun bout, but clipped to death.

5:09 of 20:43 - CIMA pinned Buffalo after the Meteora to retain the Osaka Pro Title in his 1st defence.

July 10, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (109 fans)

5. Ashram & Burns -vs- Asian Cougar & Atsushi Kotoge [3/4*]

--- Loads of impact highlights! Ashram & Burns looked good beating the home guys.

3:01 of 12:50 - Burns pinned Kotoge after the Death From Above

6. 14-Person Battle Royal for the Osaka Pro Battle Royal Title [1/2*]

--- ....never anything serious. The normal battle royal messing around.....with Ebessan the 3rd getting assitance to win it.

11:24 of 15:07 - Ebessan III win the 14-Person Battle Royal last eliminating Miracle Man

July 17, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (216 fans)

7. Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada -vs- Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii - (Osaka Pro Tag Title) [* 3/4]

--- More Osaka Pro vs Dragon Gate title bouts! And it's Osaka's own defending their belts against the super veterans of Dragon Gate in Mochizuki & Fujii! Cool match which I wish they'd shown more of. Positive action with stuff coming from all directions pounding each other down with the Germans being the main move of the match with Harada's getting kicked out of and Fujii's German not getting kicked out of as the Dragon Gate wrestlers capture the Osaka Tag belts!

7:24 of 21:21 - Fujii pinned Harada with a German Suplex. Mochizuki & Fujii become the 25th Osaka Pro Tag Champions.

July 18, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (195 fans)

8. Keizo Matsuda -vs- Orochi

--- Even with help Orochi wasn't able to beat the IWA Champion.....

2:34 of 12:20 - Matsuda pinned Orochi after a lariat

9. Billy Ken Kid & Tsubasa & Asian Cougar -vs- Tigers Mask & Black Buffalo & Tadasuke [*]

--- Good action and they did what they had to for the fans entertainment. Nothing important apart for some joyous main event to send the fans home happy.

4:56 of 14:42 - Tsubasa pinned Buffalo with a huracanrana

July 19, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (173 fans)

10. Miracle Man -vs- Ebessan III -vs- Kanjuro Matsuyama - (3-Way) [1/4*]

--- Strange that these meaningless re-run comedy matches get just as much time on these commercial releases as the inter-promotional title matches. They could have just dropped these and aired the main matches near complete. Much more rewarding then this shit....

5:11 of 11:07 - Miracle Man pinned Ebessan & Matsuyama

11. Orochi -vs- Shigehiro Irie

--- Light-hearted stuff with Orochi getting a lucky win.

1:59 of 8:16 - Orochi pinned Irie with a small package

12. Tigers Mask & Black Buffalo & Tadasuke -vs- Billy Ken Kid & Asian Cougar & Keizo Matsuda [3/4*]

--- ....and with a little cheating Tadasuke is the #1 contender for the IWA Title beating the champion with some help using the title belt as a weapon. Title match on July 31.

3:56 of 14:36 - Tadasuke pinned Matsuda with the Outcast

13. Ranmaru -vs- Kuishinbo Kamen - (Osaka Pro Owari/World's #1 Titles)

--- ....yeah....

2:33 11:58 - Kuishinbo pinned Ranmaru with a kiss to become the Osaka Pro Owari/World's #1 Champion.

July 24, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (129 fans)

14. 17-Person Battle Royal for the Osaka Pro Battle Royal Title [1/2*]

--- What did I say about wasting DVD time with comedy matches when there are more important matches to show.....

19:19 of 28:47 - Ebessan III win the 17-Person Battle Royal last eliminating Tigers Mask

July 31, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (185 fans)

15. Tigers Mask & Black Buffalo & Orochi -vs- Kikutaro & Miracle Man & Kuishinbo Kamen [1/4*]

--- ....mostly silly stuff.

6:18 of 17:16 - Orochi pinned Kuishinbo after the Onikaze Windmill

16. Keizo Matsuda -vs- Tadasuke - (IWA Title) [* 1/2]

--- Started kind of off in a way. Took a while before any of the drama crept in, or whatever one can call it with two such cold guy. Got ok in the end with Tadasuke getting in some dangerous moves like the Outcast off the turnbuckle and several other near falls without beating the champion. Sadly the end wasn't featured here and the DVD recording cut-out before Matsuda had gotten his pin.

12:36 of 18:22 - Matsuda pinned Tadasuke after a lariat/*NO FINISH SHOWN - DVD CUT-OFF. Matsuda retain the IWA Title.

COMMENTS: I hate that the comedy and battle royals got so much time and the Osaka Pro vs Dragon Gate stuff being edited so much, but at least we got to see some of it.

OSAKA PRO on COMM - October 31, 2010, Osaka - (2 hrs)

October 31, 2010, Osaka Prefectural Gym #2 (1,016 fans)

1. Tigers Mask & Black Buffalo & Tadasuke -vs- Vin Gerard & Stigma & Dasher Hatfield [*]

--- Tigers Mask is back being face and that means a lot of baseball comedy and since they have a bunch of foreigners including Mr.Hatfield who does a baseball gimmick too! Easy win match mixing well for a silly and sometimes almost exciting match before Tigers won confidently with the Tiger Suplex.

14:36 of 14:02 - Tigers Mask pinned Hatfield with a Tiger Suplex

2. Kanjyouro Matsuyama & Ranmaru -vs- Miracle Man & Ebessan III [1/4*]

--- Special Halloween Costume Match and just plain silly.....

10:29 of 10:28 - Ranmaru pinned Ebessan with a forward rolling cradle

3. Tsubasa & Frightmare -vs- Lince Dorado & Tim Donst [*]

--- Tsubasa with a bunch of Chikara dudes having a fun little showcase. They didn't bring too much of the super wrestling, but enough to entertain for a few minutes before Frightmare landed hos knees down to pin Donst.

11:53 of 11:51 - Frightmare pinned Donst after a backflip double-kneedrop

4. Takoyakida © -vs- Kikutaro -vs- Kuishinbo Kamen - (Osaka Owari Title) [3/4*]

--- Comedy title bout. The usual bit of fun with Kikutaro and Kuishinbo dominating the stage as usual until Takoyakida managed to counter Kiku's backdrop and beat him to keep the belt even if he'd been on the receiving end most of the match.

12:52 of 12:52 - Takoyakida pinned Kikutaro with a backdrop suplex cut-back to retain the Osaka Owari Title in his 1st defence.

5. Kuuga & HAYATA & The Bodyguard & Orochi -vs- Billy Ken Kid & Hideyoshi & Masamune & Ultimate Spider Jr - (Seikigun v. JOKER Elimination) [* 3/4]

--- Heels vs faces in a elimination match. Didn't get too captivating actually which is a shame because they could have done a lot more with this one. But it started with one of the top face stars getting eliminated right away as Hideyoshi was tripped over the ropes and it ended with a lot of ref bumps with the heels using weapons to weaken Billy before the Osaka Pro Champion beat him and won the match. Kuuga! Aka Asian Cougar!

1:44 - Hideyoshi eliminated via Over the Top Rope

8:09 - Masamune & Bodyguard eliminated via Over the Top Rope

11:06 - Spider pinned HAYATA with a modified La Magistral

12:18 - Spider eliminated via Over the Top Rope

15:03 - Billy pinned Orochi with the Super Rana

21:12 of 21:26 - Kuuga pinned Billy after a fisherman's buster

6. Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii © -vs- Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada - (Osaka Pro Tag Title) [** 1/4]

--- Dragon Gate's Mochizuki & Fujii defending their Osaka Pro tag belts and it's time to bring them back to Osaka Pro with Kotoge & Harada regaining the titles when Kotoge countered Fujii's Boston Crab with a twisting foreard roll-up! A solid battle where the Dragon Gate guys looked in fairly good control with the punks trying to step it up. But in the end Osaka heart was victorious!

20:49 of 20:49 - Kotoge pinned Fujii with a modified forward rolling cradle. Kotoge & Harada become the 26th Osaka Pro Tag Champions.

COMMENTS: Fairly good show. None of the matches peaked much, but they had a purpose or had guest wrestlers from Chikara.

OSAKA PRO on SKY-A - October 31, 2010, Osaka - (1 1/2 hrs)

October 31, 2010, Osaka Prefectural Gym #2 (1,016 fans)

1. Tigers Mask & Black Buffalo & Tadasuke -vs- Vin Gerard & Stigma & Dasher Hatfield [*]

--- Tigers Mask is back being face and that means a lot of baseball comedy and since they have a bunch of foreigners including Mr.Hatfield who does a baseball gimmick too! Easy win match mixing well for a silly and sometimes almost exciting match before Tigers won confidently with the Tiger Suplex.

7:38 of 14:02 - Tigers Mask pinned Hatfield with a Tiger Suplex

2. Kanjyouro Matsuyama & Ranmaru -vs- Miracle Man & Ebessan III [1/4*]

--- Special Halloween Costume Match and just plain silly.....

2:30 of 10:28 - Ranmaru pinned Ebessan with a forward rolling cradle

5:32 of 11:51 - Frightmare pinned Donst after a backflip double-kneedrop

21:26 of 21:26 - Kuuga pinned Billy after a fisherman's buster

This is the TV version which got the early card matches edited.

666/ICE RIBBON on COMM - November 1, 2010, Tokyo - (1 3/4 hrs)

November 1, 2010, Tokyo

1. Konaka Pale One & K666 -vs- The 101 & Tochigi [1/2*]

--- Shitty 666 wrestling with Tochigi doing a wonderful Sabu chair-leep tribute with the botch! A few nice moves to end it between Konaka and 101 to save some of the amateur hour impression, but still it was real horrid at times.

11:52 of 11:52 - Konaka pinned 101 after a top rope meditation drop

2. Tsukasa Fujimoto & Hikaru Shida -vs- Miyako Matsumoto & Sayaka Obihiro [*]

--- Ice Ribbon girls running wild. Some shakey stuff, but plenty of energetic spirit into their work. I guess that's their main quality anyway so they got the most out of it with that. Loads of really close falls too to highen the response from the fans until Shida won with a nicely done suplex.

12:03 of 12:25 - Shida pinned Obihiro after a vertical suplex

3. Onryo & Goemon -vs- Emi Sakura & Mysterious X [1/2*]

--- Sakura finding a big fat man to be her bitch to face the ghouls. Strange shit....

14:45 of 14:45 - Goemon pinned X after a Swanton Bomb

4. Dinasty & Makoto -vs- Yuko Miyamoto & Chii Tomiya -vs- Shinobu & Hamuko Hoshi - (3-Way) [3/4*]

--- Happy non-serious fighting mixing the boys and gals from 666 and Ice Ribbon for a stupid and action filled 3-way tag. Kind of fun, but not something you can take too seriously. They did entertain their fans and we did get a hugh upset as Makoto, the chickenshit girl, pinned former Big Japan Death Match Champion Miyamoto!!!

17:47 of 17:44 - Makoto pinned Miyamoto with a Samson Clutch

- Competitions: Relay Race, Tug of War (Young Puro v. Ice Ribbon)

COMMENTS: Better then expected with these two horrendous groups join together for a joint effort. After the matches they had a few competitions too.

NJPW on Samurai TV - November 1, 2010, Osaka - (2 hrs)

November 1, 2010, Osaka Prefectural Gym #2 (1,450 fans)

1. Prince Devitt & Koji Kanemoto & Ryusuke Taguchi -vs- Gedo & Jado & Takashi Iizuka [*]

--- Simple junior heavyweight opener with heavyweight monster Iizuka accidentally nailing Gedo with the Iron Fingers making it very easy for Taguchi to win with the new Gedo Clutch.

10:55 of 14:20 - Taguchi pinned Gedo with a Gedo Clutch II

2. Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson -vs- El Terrible & El Texano Jr - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [* 3/4]

--- Bad Intentions against the Mexican side of Terrible & Texano and we had a fairly fun tag match between two teams that work well together and got their teamwork going for them. Having lucha libre guys mixing it with the American style made for a different experience in the New Japan ring and even if it was no big match it was kept interesting with always something going on until Anderson had the win with the Gun Stun.

11:01 of 10:47 - Anderson pinned Terrible after the Gun Stun

3. Yuji Nagata & Wataru Inoue -vs- Masato Tanaka & Tomohiro Ishii - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- Decent energy and decent action. Never been a fan of the Nagata & Inoue team....or most things involving Inoue, and Tanaka & Ishii feels like such a watered down team now with Ishii being such an established jobber now. However they got in a couple of hot moments before Inoue won with his spear finisher.

11:58 of 14:09 - Inoue pinned Ishii with a spear

4. Shinsuke Nakamura & Daniel Puder & Toru Yano -vs- Hirooki Goto & King Fale & Tama Tonga [* 1/4]

--- Puder gets a win! Ok, it's over rookie King Fale so it's not such a big win, but at least he gets to look credible against someone after some shakey heavyweight wrestling with him. Liked the knee he hit Fale with before the necklock.

10:59 of 12:12 - Puder made Fale submit to a front necklock

5. Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man -vs- Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [* 1/4]

--- Not a great match, but at least the moster muscle team won over Mr.Yellow.

10:51 of 10:33 - Strong Man made Honma submit to a Argentine backbreaker

6. Satoshi Kojima -vs- Jushin Liger [* 1/2]

--- Usual rutine, but it was kind of cool seeing Kojima face the junior heavyweight legend. Of course Liger got something to work with around Kojima's very basic spots like the top rope elbow drop and the finishing lariat which is a very stale formula by the champ. Not as climatic or special as it should have been.

9:37 of 9:37 - Kojima pinned Liger after a lariat

7. Yujiro Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito -vs- Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tajiri - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [**]

--- Finally something good. An effort to make it exciting as No Limit face the new friends Tanahashi & Tajiri who's been tagging in recent months after feuding for the most part of a year. Naturally it's Tanahashi who stands for most of the quality on that team and the one to make sure No Limit and especially Naito look good as he defeats the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion with the Stradust Press. But it was a even fight with a few near falls both ways before Naito got his big win over Tanahashi after his singles match loss to him in October.

17:48 of 17:47 - Naito pinned Tanahashi after a Stardust Press

COMMENTS: The main event was good. Also liked the Bad Intentions vs Team Mexico, but it's only a smaller show and tag wrestling hasn't been New Japan's strenght in modern time.

NJPW on SAMURAI TV - November 2, 2010, Osaka - (2 hrs)

November 2, 2010, Osaka Prefectural Gym #2 (1,550 fans)

1. Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man & Koji Kanemoto & Tiger Mask -vs- Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson & Prince Devitt & Ryusuke Taguchi [* 1/4]

--- The Americans making it a enjoyable match, but this was just a taster for the future as Bad Interntions and the gorillas clashed well. Can't wait for the straight tag match between those teams! Here Strong Man continued to get the push as Strong Man makes Anderson submit Nakanishi style!

12:55 of 14:29 - Strong Man made Anderson submit to a Argentine backbreaker

2. Yuji Nagata & Wataru Inoue -vs- Super Strong Machine & King Fale - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [*]

--- Blue Justice against Blue Justice! One side has been IWGP Tag Champions and doing well in the G-1 Tag Tournament, the other mostly losing. And it was a dull fight like most Blue Justice fights with Inoue winning with his weak spear.

11:57 of 13:18 - Inoue pinned Fale after a spear

3. El Terrible & El Texano Jr -vs- Yujiro Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [*]

--- Where was the excitement?! Where was the cool stuff?! No Limit who got their break in Mexico should have a better match with experienced Mexicans like these. Only a match. No feelings. No nothing. TT Bomb win for Texano & Terrible.

9:41 of 12:07 - Texano pinned Takahashi after the TT Bomb

4. Togi Makabe & Jushin Liger & Tomoaki Honma -vs- Shinsuke Nakamura & Gedo & Jado [*]

--- The standard....again. Makabe trying to repair the damage of losing the belt and is in winning form here.

9:36 of 11:58 - Makabe pinned Gedo after a top rope kneedrop

5. Masato Tanaka & Tomohiro Ishii -vs- Hiroki Goto & Tama Tonga - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- Seemed to have more to offer then the other bouts here, but it was still just a house show affair. At least Tanaka was selfless enough to let Tama look good before he lost to a Sliding D.

13:50 of 14:50 - Tanaka pinned Tonga after a Sliding D

6. Satoshi Koijima -vs- Daniel Puder [1/2*]

--- Puder opened the tour with stiff great looking kicks. Has he been told to tone it down by the management? And not hurt the new champion the slightest? Because this was tame......

6:35 of 6:34 - Kojima pinned Puder after a lariat

7. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tajiri -vs- Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [* 1/4]

--- Both Tanahashi & Tajiri have been feuding with Yano lately so they played a lot onto that without creating much fanfare. Still just a match and not a 'main event' caliber bout. Not even for a house show. Tajiri beat Yano once again.

14:46 of 14:45 - Tajiri pinned Yano with a Samson Clutch

COMMENTS: Disappointing show.

OZ ACADEMY on GAORA TV - November 3, 2010, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

November 3, 2010, Tokyo - Shinjuku FACE (428 fans)

- Highlights from the October 10, 2010, Tokyo show.

1. Mayumi Ozaki -vs- Nao Komatsu [* 1/2]

--- This was done quite well for a veteran vs rookie girl type bout. Nao opened wild, but Ozaki quickly took her down a notch nearly choking her out with a sleeper before bloodying her up and wanting Police to help her. But Komatsu got a little help herself getting rid of the extras and got her comeback getting a couple of good near falls before Ozaki got it over with super hard landing senton off the top rope. Poor Nao on that one.

4:51 of 11:19 - Ozaki pinned Komatsu after a top rope rolling senton

2. Aja Kong & Ran Yu Yu & Akino -vs- Dynamite Kansai & Manami Toyota & Ayumi Kurihara [** 1/4]

--- While a fairly random tag with the Jungle Jack theme this did become a good match and at times even great for induvidual moments! The Aja vs Kurihara stuff was just awesome and Kurihara in general was the MVP of the bout looking strong and getting to throat slam Aja and nearly beat her. Of course Aja would squash her with brutal moves like that nasty looking Shining Wizard and brainbuster before landing a heavy elbow drop off the top.

11:41 of 20:11 - Kong pinned Kurihara after a top rope elbow drop

3. Hiroyo Matsumoto & Tomoka Nakagawa -vs- Yumi Ohka & Hiren [* 1/4]

--- A little too ordinary in it's Oz Academy heel fighing formula to get anywhere great, but the fighting went on until Nakagawa fooled Hiren countering her cradle to get this.

9:22 of 16:06 - Nakagawa pinned Hiren with a cradle reversal

4. Carlos Amano & Chikayo Nagashima & Sonoko Kato -vs- Yoshiko Tamura & Yuki Miyazaki & Tanny Mouse [** 1/2]

--- All about this being the NEO girls last appearence on a Oz Academy before they retire on December 31. And naturally they face the same JWP/GAEA gang they've faced ever since 1995. So nothing fresh about that one, but they were having a happy time clowning and fighting each other a final time in Ozaki's promotion. And it was a pleasure seeing them so motivated and having a good time in there. Full of energy and smiles. Even Miyazaki was going harder then usual while bleeding quite a lot from the forehead too. It's the kind of bout you just sit back and enjoy. And it had a happy ending too. Tanny jobbed!

20:55 of 24:26 - Nagashima pinned Tanny with a modified schoolboy

5. Kaoru © -vs- Takako Inoue - (Oz Title) [* 1/2]

--- Handicap situation of course and Kaoru fought them all off landing chaired Germans and moonsaults to them all to keep being on top. And it was like that almost the entire bout. She'd fight them off. They'd come for saves and such and Kaoru would just continue to go for finishers until the saves started back-firing and Kaoru surprised a real tame Takako with a small package to keep the belt. Kind of strange how little Takako really got and how much like a superwoman Kaoru was.

12:25 of 13:20 - Kaoru pinned Inoue with a small package to retain the Oz Title in her 2nd defence.

COMMENTS: A positive Oz Academy show. The main event wasn't all that good, but it fits with the storyline I guess, while the NEO vs Oz tag was the one giving the fans what they wanted aswell as the 6-woman tag earlier.

1. Keita Yano -vs- Kumiko Mitagawa [1/4*]

--- 'Keita in the Clown' beating up another parody of a wrestler.

9:07 of 9:14 - Yano pinned Mitagawa with a rolling cradle

2. (shirt)? -vs- (no shirt)? [1/4*]

--- A West Gate Offer match.....what was the point?!

0:38 of 0:39 - ? (shirt) made ? submit to a cross-armbreaker

3. Kazushi Miyamoto -vs- Batten Tamagawa [1/4*]

--- Miyamoto had the potential, still might be an asset if anyone would pick him up, but from being the ace of King's Road he's now mixing with trash.....

6:38 of 6:43 - Miyamoto made Tamagawa submit to a Boston Crab

4. Ken Kataya & Pink Tiger & Konaka Pale One & Yasuhiro Katsuya Jr & Tako Nyutou & ? -vs- Munenori Sawa & Mr.Magic & Koichi Katamura & Kenji Takeshima & Seiji Kitagawa & Saito-san [1/2*]

--- A mess for the sake of having a mess. Got to love the indys~~~ Total bullshit wrestling, but so much of it that it was cheesy funny to watch. But nothing here matters in any way.....just silly shit.

12:12 of 12:16 - Katsuya made Saito submit to a Dragon Sleeper

5. Okano (The Winger) -vs- ? [1/2*]

--- The Winger without his mask, but wrestling with facepaint as Okano taking care of some random indy guy fooling him with a terrible inside cradle.....

7:10 of 7:11 - Okano pinned ? with a small package

6. GENTARO -vs- Super Delfin -vs- Agu - (3-Way) [1/4*]

--- GENTARO joining in on the terrible Okinawa Pro comedy.....and gets awarded with a win over the pig.

12:18 of 12:19 - GENTARO pinned Agu with a reversed cradle

7. Miracle Man & Naoshi Sano & Kyoko Kimura -vs- Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Bambi & Shota [1/2*]

--- No, this just wasn't the night for good wrestling. Not even a hint of it. Shota was Godaweful and deservingly got beat up by everyone.....

13:51 of 13:51 - Miracle Man pinned Shota with a Miracle Driver

COMMENTS: I want to shoot whoever Stanley is.....

BJPW on COMM - November 5, 2010, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

November 5, 2010, Tokyo - Shin-Kiba 1st RING (174 fans)

1. Yuko Miyamoto & Masashi Takeda & Isami Kodaka -vs- Kazuki Hashimoto & Takumi Tsukamoto & Masato Inaba [* 3/4]

--- Good youth style action. Energy with them wanting to show themselfs from their best side. Didn't have much to fight about, so it was all about getting noticed and giving the a good display of what they're capable. Tsukamoto didn't have much to show for in the end as Miyamoto showed he's the elder of the two bending him with the crab for the win. Looks like it's going to be a good day.....

13:52 of 13:50 - Miyamoto made Tsukamoto submit to a Boston Crab

2. Daikokubo Benkei & Yuichi Taniguchi -vs- Shadow WX & Mototsugu Shimizu [1/4*]

--- .....and then Benkei & Taniguchi had to ruin it!

9:25 of 9:24 - Taniguchi pinned Shimizu with a schoolboy

3. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa -vs- Shinobu & Ryuichi Kawakami [*]

--- Mostly just playing around sticking things up Shinobu's ass early on. Picked up a little toward the end, but not really enough to make up for the slow and bad start. And not surprising the younger side took the fall....

13:32 of 13:31 - Kasai pinned Kawakami after a top rope bodypress

4. Yoshito Sasaki & Yuji Okabayashi & Atsushi Ohashi -vs- Ryuji Ito & Takashi Sasaki & Kankuro Hoshino [**]

--- Became quite fun with Ohashi and Hoshino taking the end there nicely with Ohashi 'double-teaming' with Okabayashi by letting himself get thrown high up by the muscle guy so he could deliver a big splash. Loads of moments of energy keeping it alive until Ohashi showed his kind of the Aussie cradle.

14:43 of 14:41 - Ohashi pinned Hoshino with a Tiger Suplex-style roll-up

5. Abdullah Kobayashi -vs- Daisuke Sekimoto [**]

--- Far from their best effort. It's still Abby Jr and Sekimoto going at it so there was a bunch of cool stuff streached through out the match playing on how well they know each other. Along with a little climax portion at the end with big Germans and armbars and stuff. Good fun even if it was not great. A time limit draw. And now Abby got to wrestle 15 wrestlers after already wrestling 30 minutes......

27:02 of 30:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Sekimoto to a 30:00 Time Limit Draw

6. Abdullah Kobayashi -vs- 15 wrestlers (15 consecutive 1:00 matches) [*]

--- Pals fight together for 1 minute each with smiles on their faces! Just smile with them!

0:24 of 0:23 - Kobayashi pinned Atsushi Ohashi after a elbow drop

0:05 of 0:05 - Yoshihito Sasaki pinned Kobayashi after a lariat

1:02 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Men's Teioh to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

0:36 of 0:36 - Kobayashi pinned Lee Nikkan after a elbow drop

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Mayumi Ozaki to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Sanshiro Takagi to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled The Winger to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Yuichi Taniguchi to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Jaki Numazawa to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:01 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Shadow WX to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Ryuji Ito to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:01 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Jun Kasai to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:00 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Minoru Fujita to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

1:01 of 1:00 - Kobayashi wrestled Great Kojika to a 1:00 Time Limit Draw

0:28 of 0:16 - Kobayashi pinned Sekimoto with a Gannosuke Clutch

COMMENTS: Special for Abdullah Kobayashi who celebrates 15 years in pro-wrestling by fighting 15 wrestlers along with having a half-hour draw with Sekimoto.

AJPW on GAORA TV - November 5 & 6, 2010, Taipei, Taiwan - (4 hrs)

November 5, 2010, Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei National Taiwan University Gym

1. Taiyo Kea & BUSHI -vs- Shuji Kondo & Hiroshi Yamato - (All-Asian Tag Title Contendership Tournament - Semi-Final) [* 1/4]

--- All Japan guest Taiwan again and they use the All-Asian Tag Title as one of the stories having a #1 contenders tournament for it the first day and a title match then next. And going to the final from this match was Kea & BUSHI after Kondo & Yamato had done fairly well as a team.....but Yamato had to find himself in a cradle.

4:37 of 10:05 - BUSHI pinned Yamato with a Samson Clutch

2. Minaru & KONO -vs- Osamu Nishimura & Yasufumi Nakanoue - (All-Asian Tag Title Contendership Tournament - Semi-Final) [*]

--- Nishimura could not save a team that featured rookie Nakanoue. It was only as matter of time.....

5:56 of 8:55 - KONO pinned Nakanoue after a Boma Ye kneekick

3. Minoru Suzuki & Masakatsu Funaki & Akebono -vs- Seiya Sanada & KAI & Manabu Soya [* 1/4]

--- Fun based off the 5 minutes that aired. You had the Suzuki badness and Akebono fatness along with the young punks trying to step up....which they didn't manage to do against these top guys.

5:26 of 12:41 - Akebono pinned KAI after a bodypress

4. Kohei Suwama & Ryota Hama -vs- Joe Doering & KENSO [* 3/4]

--- This was plenty sweet with Doering & KENSO managing to suplex big Hama in am impressive way along with Suwama laying in the shots. But most of all Hama laying in the weight! Probable a little too long for them, but edited down for TV it was more then fun with the returned Joe Doering getting corner splashed by Hama for the finish.

8:43 of 18:45 - Hama pinned Doering after a corner bodypress

5. Minoru & KONO -vs- Taiyo Kea & BUSHI - (All-Asian Tag Title Contendership Tournament - Final) [* 1/2]

--- And to face Sanada & Soya for their All-Asian Tag Title the next day of the Taiwan tour will be..... Minoru & KONO! Because Kono beat the trash out of BUSHI landing the knees. BUSHI was saved a few times and also got some near cradle wins before getting a Giant Kneedrop planted down on him.

8:42 of 13:08 - KONO pinned BUSHI after a top rope kneedrop

6. Keiji Muto & Masahiro Chono -vs- TARU & Rene Dupree [* 1/2]

--- Masahiro Chono making a rare 2010 appearence as a favour for his old friend Muto on this special tour. And it was old guys tribute match with Muto & Chono doing their trademark stuff. Chono isn't in his best shape, but he did the stuff he's done for 25 years well and the fans was happy when he won. The Voodoo Murders got some revenge after the bout building up some heat for the next day.

11:25 of 14:05 - Chono pinned TARU after a Shining Yakuza Kick

7. Kaz Hayashi -vs- Phil Atlas - (AJPW Junior Title) [* 3/4]

--- Crowd wasn't super hot for this as the main event. Atlas isn't anyone known and the match was very spot oriented to really take off. But it had it's moments with Atlas looking half-good getting in a few nice moves for near falls on the record champion. But Atlas isn't going to be the one to stop Hayashi and once the Power Plant landed it was over and V17 for Hayashi!

15:33 of 20:36 - Hayashi pinned Atlas after the Power Plant to retain the AJPW Junior Title in his 17th defence.

November 6, 2010, Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei National Taiwan University Gym

8. Kohei Suwama & Kaz Hayashi -vs- Minoru Suzuki & Phil Atlas [* 1/2]

--- Fine fun with the singles champions in All Japan taking care of business once they got Suzuki out of the way and Suwama was alone with Atlas. All that was needed then was a Last Ride. Plenty of decent wrestling leading up top that point.

6:31 of 13:06 - Suwama pinned Atlas after a Last Ride powerbomb

9. Akebono -vs- Ryota Hama [* 1/2]

--- Short and sweet. Some sumo to start and then the heavyweight splashes with Hama's corner splash ladning nicely! Hama tried his Ryota Hammers, but then Akebono woke up and totally bitchslapped Hama and then splashed him hard for the win in little over 4 minutes!

11. Seiya Sanada & Manabu Soya © -vs- Minoru & KONO - (All-Asian Tag Title) [** 1/4]

--- Relied a little bit too much of those super close (or very late) kick-outs, but still it made the climax portion real exciting as Sanada was in a lot of trouble first before making his big comeback and dropping Minoru down in a few suplexes until he had him beat with the Tiger Suplex! That means Sanada & Soya make their first successful defence! And in real solid bout where they ended to looking like champs.

19:44 of 25:02 - Sanada pinned Minoru with a Tiger Suplex. Sanada & Soya retain the All-Asian Tag Title in their 1st defence.

12. Keiji Muto & Masahiro Chono & Masakatsu Funaki -vs- KENSO & Rene Dupree & Joe Doering [**]

--- Classic babyface against heel set-up with the bad guys being obnoxious and the faces giving the fans what they want for payback! And Muto wanted to do a little bit extra for the Taiwan fans and finished off with THE MOONSAULT!!! Not that it really was needed to put Dupree away, but he wanted to give them value for money.

20:37 of 20:37 - Muto pinned Dupree after a moonsault

COMMENTS: Cool that they returned to Taiwan and gave the wrestling fans there two nice shows. In between the matches there was some features. Mostly eating stuff....
