BJPW on Samurai TV - October 17, 2010, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

October 17, 2010, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall (1,576 fans)

1. Mens Teioh & Shiori Asahi & Makoto Oishi -vs- Onryo & Mototsugu Shimizu & Atsushi Ohashi [3/4*]

--- Only a few minutes of the Men's Club bout and Ohashi's Tiger roll-ups was the most happening thing in the bout before the boss on the team decided to end it.

4:03 of 10:17 - Teioh pinned Shimizu with the Miracle Ecstasy

2. Abdullah Kobayashi & Toru Owashi -vs- Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu - (Hardcore) [* 1/4]

--- Hardcore? Play fighting with slime and that stuff with Abby using 'robot arms' backsliding one of the twins to win it. Amusing little bout.

10:04 of 10:03 - Kobayashi pinned Kei with a backslide

3. Yuji Okabayashi & Takumi Tsukamoto -vs- Mammoth Sasaki & Kazuki Hashimoto [* 1/2]

--- One thing was sure! Okabayashi was having a jolly ol' time in the ring smiling through most of it! No wonder, because he could play as much as he wanted with Hashimoto before beating him for real.

9:31 of 10:44 - Okabayashi pinned Hashimoto after a top rope bodypress

4. Takashi Sasaki & Shadow WX & The Winger -vs- Yuko Miyamoto & Masashi Takeda & Kankuro Hoshino - (Barbed Wire Board Death Match) [* 1/2]

--- Same old stuff I guess, symbolized by one of the old guys winning too. Quite a few barbed wire bumps and it kept the fans happy, but didn't offer anything more then just a decent hardcore bout with Winger rolling Hoshino up in a cradle for the win.

12:51 of 12:50 - Winger pinned Hoshino with a small package

5. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa & Isami Kodaka -vs- Daisuke Sekimoto & Yoshito Sasaki & Ryuichi Kawakami [* 3/4]

--- Happy crowd pleaser. More funny then good, if you catch my drift. Coolest bit was Kasai stealing a bag and using the book in it to smear blood on and in it. And later on Kasai won with a Pearl Harbor Splash with his pants down to his knees. Sekimoto was aggressive, but it didn't really lift the match because of the comedy hardcore atmosphere of it.

14:16 of 14:14 - Kasai pinned Kawakami after a top rope bodypress

6. Ryuji Ito © -vs- Shuji Ishikawa - (BJPW Death Match Title; Light Tubes, Glass Board and 49,205 Thumbtacks Death Match) [** 3/4]

--- BJPW big crazy style match! Suplexes and Splash Mountain through glass. An absolute ton of tumbtacks! So much that the ocean of shiny things was the best thing about this mess as everytime they'd bump the tumbtacks would fly all over and with their bodies being covered in the stuff! It was a spectacular bout that way even if it didn't trully feature anything super spectacular for a big match. But it was still a dramatic battle and the spots landed well! Real well! Still Ishikawa couldn't get the belt as Ito used his usual Dragon Splash with a bunch of light tubes taped together with the crushing victory!

20:17 of 20:13 - Ito pinned Ishikawa after a top rope light tube bodypress to retain the BJPW Death Match Title in his 2nd defence.

COMMENTS: Only the main event had anything to offer on a larger scale. But that one had it's spectacular moments and well worth your time.

NJPW on Samurai TV - October 22, 2010, Tokyo - (3 hrs)

October 22, 2010, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall (1,500 fans)

1. Super Strong Machine & King Fale -vs- Jushin Liger & Hiromu Takahashi [*]

--- The first televised bout of Hiromu Takahashi in New Japan. A rookie that debuted on August 24th 2010. Didn't look very impressive. Generic New Japan rookie with execution not really sitting here. Liger was more interesting sporting white hair on his mask. Looked kind of weird and not really Liger-like. But sure a little change can be good. Old Machine took care of the junior heavyweight rookie easy with a senton.

7:28 of 7:27 - Machine pinned Takahashi after a senton

2. Prince Devitt & Koji Kanemoto & Tiger Mask & Ryusuke Taguchi -vs- Yujiro Takahashi & Tomohiro Ishii & Gedo & Jado [* 1/2]

--- Lively junior action. Little that really stood out, but fun filler material with Ishii and Tiger continuing their arguing with Ishii wanting that mask of his. The two even had to be draged apart after the match was won by Taguchi who used a Gedo-Style clutch on Gedo rolling it up with the arm.

11:36 of 11:34 - Taguchi pinned Gedo with the Gedo Clutch II

3. El Terrible & El Texano Jr. -vs- Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [* 1/4]

--- Mexico in the house! And the Japanese heels tried their best to make them not feel welcome. But it didn't matter because Terrible & Texano double-bombed veteran Iizuka hard enough to win the bout anyway!

8:47 of 8:47 - Texano pinned Iizuka after the TT Bomb

20101023032.jpg

4. Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man -vs- Hirooki Goto & Tama Tonga - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- Super team!!! Strong Man & Nakanishi! Two motherfuckin' gorillas! I'm glad I wasn't a Tongan in this match.....

10:38 of 10:38 - Strong Man pinned Tonga after a assisted powerbomb

5. Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma -vs- Yuji Nagata & Wataru Inoue - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- GBH against Blue Justice on the opening day of the G-1 Tag League.....and it's your standard affair. Only a match. Not fresh at all and with Makabe getting the win King Kong Kneedrop-style.

16:14 of 16:13 - Makabe pinned Inoue after a top rope kneedrop

20101022040.jpg

6. James Storm & Robert Roode -vs- Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson [* 3/4]

--- TNA's Beer Money coming over to claim they want a shot at Bad Intentions's IWGP Tag Title and prove they are the top team of the world. Wasn't too impressed, but it still felt fresher then the other stuff on this show. Ok action I guess, but little that stood out as these foreigners battle it out on Japanese soil with Beer Money beating the champs in this non-title match.

11:58 of 11:58 - Roode pinned Anderson after a neckbreaker/powerbomb combo

20101022024.jpg

7. Satoshi Kojima -vs- Tetsuya Naito [* 3/4]

--- The new IWGP Heavyweight Champion......SATOSHI KOJIMA!!! And against someone they are trying to establish as a singles player after some mild success in the No Limit team. Naito is a good wrestler, but I don't feel he shows enough fire in the ring and a lot of his matches tend to drag. And Kojima is no longer as hungry as he once was even if he gets the top throne wherever he goes. So this was a very average performance by the two sadly. Not the spectacular one should hope for when a world champion has a singles match against a possible contender. Well, he got more contenders lining-up as a bunch of New Japan top guys came out after he won the match with a lariat.

16:30 of 16:35 - Kojima pinned Naito after a lariat

20101022012.jpg

8. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tajiri -vs- Shinsuke Nakamura & Daniel Puder - (G-1 Tag League '10 - Block B ) [* 1/2]

--- Interesting choice for a partner for Nakamura. Puder isn't exactly fluid in the language of pro-wrestling, but he looks deangerous when on attack. Because he....attacks! Not just go through motions in a weak way like most of todays wrestlers reduce themselfs. But he looks like he's going to murder you with those kicks and power! Thats whats missing a lot on todays puroresu scene. It's become too safe and not enough....fighters! This wasn't a match where they took advantage of his qualities and instead they celebrated one of the kings of chickenshit wrestling in Tajiri blowing mist in Nakamura's face and Buzzsawing Puder for Tanahashi to splash. Hope they develope and do something with Puder once he gets used to things.

14:34 of 14:34 - Tanahashi pinned Puder after a top rope bodypress

COMMENTS: A Korakuen Hall show and.....this tame?! It's he opening day for a long G-1 Tag League and they do almost nothing to build hype for it.

MICHINOKU PRO on COMM: KOWLOON PRODUCE - October 23, 2010, Tokyo - (1 3/4 hrs)

October 23, 2010, Tokyo - Shin-Kiba 1st RING (385 fans)

1. Fujita Jr Hayato -vs- Daichi Sasaki [3/4*]

--- A Sasaki. This one is a Daichi. A 20 year old small amateur style looking rookie getting the crap beat out of him by Hayato.....

5:15 of 5:15 - Hayato made Sasaki submit to the K.I.D. front necklock

2. Yapper Man #1 & Yapper Man #2 -vs- Ultimo Dragon & Rasse [* 1/4]

--- Simple fun with heels Rasse and Ultimo Dragon playing with the small men, giving them a lesson. But then Rasse had to fall on his face doing a Firebird Splash with Yapper #2 easily rolling him up for the three count.

9:59 of 9:59 - Yapper Man #2 pinned Rasse with a side roll-up

3. Great Sasuke -vs- Ken45 [* 3/4]

--- Boring at first. It was a Ken45 match so it was expected. But Sasuke and the struggles brought the crowd in for the later stages making it an enjoyable experience at the end with Sasuke busting out the Thunder Fire powerbomb and the driving Segway dropkick for the win.

15:37 of 15:39 - Sasuke pinned Ken after the Sasuke Special Ver. 10.2 Segway

4. Kenou & Kenbai & Rui Hiugaji -vs- Jinsei Shinzaki & Kinya Oyanagi & Kesen Numa-jiro [* 1/2]

--- A little too technical and moved along a little too slowly for it to reach a massive climax. But the guys still showed a lot of skill in there and the match was otherwise fine with Hiugaji getting the victory with a nice moonsault.

17:19 of 17:19 - Hiugaji pinned Oyanagi after a moonsault

5. Fujita Jr Hayato & Kei Sato & Shu Sato -vs- Taro Nohashi & Takeshi Minaminno & Maguro Ooma [** 1/4]

--- Kowloon stable facing each other for the main event on their own produced show. And usual Kowloon leader Hayato ended up being the one getting bullied! The Sato's could only do a little bit of assistance while Nohashi, Minaminno & Ooma trashed, made fun of and beat the crap out of Hayato. A twist of faith there, but Hayato showed character and why he's the boss! He stayed in there taking what they had and when the opening came he was on and took it Helm'ing Nohashi down! Good stable tag.

21:52 of 21:53 - Hayato pinned Nohashi after the Helm kneekick

COMMENTS: Ok, but never a great show from the Kowloon guys. But at least they brought the quality themselfs.

NOAH on Samurai TV - October 23, 2010, Sapporo - (2 hrs)

October 23, 2010, Sapporo Teisen Hall (1,200 fans)

1. Masao Inoue -vs- Masashi Aoyagi

--- What is there to say.....?

1:59 of 5:48 - Inoue pinned Aoyagi with a small package

2. Takuma Sano -vs- Shuhei Taniguchi

--- Not much more to say here. Taniguchi gets to look competitive with a heavyweight veteran, but he loses nearly everything so it's not exactly exciting.

2:33 of 10:26 - Sano pinned Taniguchi after a Northern Light Bomb

3. Go Shiozaki & Mohammed Yone -vs- Kensuke Sasaki & Takashi Okita [1/2*]

--- Looked like a simple house show win for Shiozaki and Kensuke's boys are jobbing easy. Didn't look all that exciting either.

5:35 of 14:56 - Shiozaki pinned Okita after a lariat

4. Takashi Sugiura & Yoshihiro Takayama -vs- Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki [*]

--- Suzuki bumped well for the heavyweights and was awarded by taking the fall. Way to go NOAH! Protect the right people. You got Ogawa right there, for Christ sake! The match looked decent, but none of these undercard matches are anything important.

4:30 of 13:32 - Sugiura pinned Suzuki after a Olympic Slam

- Highlights of the October 15 & 18, 2010 Junior Tag League matches.

5. Eddie Edwards & Roderick Strong -vs- Katsuhiko Nakajima & Satoshi Kajiwara - (Junior Tag League - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- Very easy and basic junior action. Not bad. Just not very exciting as the foreigners beat the Kensuke Office guys when Strong landed the one-foot dropkick.

13:04 of 13:06 - Strong pinned Kajiwara after the Strong Kick

6. Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi -vs- Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger - (Junior Tag League - Block B ) [* 1/4]

--- Light flying, a lot of dead time, but just not enough intensity to make the 30-min Jack Evans match even remotely good. A damn draw.

24:24 of 30:00 - Kanemaru & Hirayanagi wrestled Evans & Tiger to a 30:00 Time Limit Draw

7. KENTA & Atsushi Aoki -vs- Taiji Ishimori & Ricky Marvin - (Junior Tag League - Block A) [* 1/2]

--- It's not the night for explosive junior action, that's for sure. Again just a match floating around trading offence of little interest until Aoki felt it was time to finish it with his Assult Point.

18:18 of 18:18 - Aoki pinned Marvin with a modified backdrop suplex

COMMENTS: Mid-tour NOAH is no fun.....

NOAH on Samurai TV - October 24, 2010, Sapporo - (2 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Sapporo Teisen Hall (1,200 fans)

1. Taiji Ishimori -vs- Takashi Okita

--- Only clips of Ishimori winning.

1:32 of 7:22 - Ishimori pinned Akita with a side-roll up

2. Shuhei Taniguchi -vs- Ricky Marvin

--- .....and Taniguchi beats a junior heavyweight.....

0:58 of 8:21 - Taniguchi pinned Marvin with a German Suplex

3. Roderick Strong -vs- Masao Inoue [1/2*]

--- ....and Roderick managed to beat Inoue!

4:08 of 12:04 - Strong pinned Inoue with a schoolboy cut-back

4. Eddie Edwards & Jack Evans & Extreme Tiger -vs- KENTA & Atsushi Aoki & Masashi Aoyagi [*]

--- A decent side-road bout focusing on some of the guys in the junior league having a day off with Ewards getting awarded a win over veteran martial artist Aoyagi using a midified neckbreaker move to beat the old guy!

10:57 of 18:09 - Edwards ponned Aoyagi after the Chin Checker

5. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Satoshi Kajiwara -vs- Great Sasuke & Kenbai - (Junior Tag League - Block A) [* 1/4]

--- Average junior action as Kensuke Office's Nakajima & Kajiwara face Michinoku Pro guys Great Sasuke & Kenbai. It had a couple of real close near falls at the very end before Kenbai was kicked down, but other then that not really too interesting even if it was kind of fun watching Sasuke fight Nakajima.

17:48 of 17:49 - Nakajima pinned Kenbai after a running bodykick

6. Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki -vs- Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Genba Hirayanagi - (Junior Tag League - Block B ) [* 1/2]

--- More average stuff without trying to make it any better then what it was. It did have something though as Suzuki is feuding with his old friends. Genba and Suzuki traded Blue Destinys for near falls, which was kind of clever. And then Suzuki won with a Tiger Driver after Genba had kicked out of the Suzuki's Blue Destiny.

20:13 of 20:12 - Suzuki pinned Hirayanagi with a Tiger Driver

- Highlights of the October 26, 2010 Junior Tag League matches.

7. Takashi Sugiura & Yoshihiro Takayama & Takuma Sano -vs- Kensuke Sasaki & Go Shiozaki & Mohammed Yone [* 1/2]

--- And then the heavyweight finish the show off with more of the usual stuff. Not a fresh show at all this. But at least there was a decent finishing streach between the GHC Champion Sugiura and Yone before the right guy got destroyed.

23:48 of 23:51 - Sugiura pinned Yone after a Olympic Slam

COMMENTS: House show..... not-so-mania!

AJPW on GAORA TV - October 24, 2010, Yokohama - (2 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Yokohama Bunka Gym (4,100 fans)

20101025235.jpg

1. Minoru Suzuki & Yoshiaki Fujiwara -vs- Osamu Nishimura & Masa Fuchi [**]

--- Fujiwara!!! 61 years old and still being tough as nails! And it's the Karl Gotch students Fujiwara & Suzuki running the show. The other old school team did try, but pure Gotch-style worked best here and this was wonderful moment of Suzuki showing Fujiwara how to really choke a man! Glad I was not Nishimura in that double-choke! And with so much Gotch-ism it had to end with a Gotch-style piledriver! Plenty of old fun here!

10:17 of 10:22 - Suzuki pinned Fuchi after a Gotch-style piledriver

2. BUSHI -vs- Yasufumi Nakanoue

--- Only clips as the masked lucha guy beat the boring rookie.

0:48 of 4:48 - BUSHI pinned Nakanoue after a Firebird Splash

3. Shuji Kondo & KAI & Hiroshi Yamato -vs- TARU & Minoru & Hate

--- A lot of Hate, with Kondo lariating Hate down in the end.

1:35 of 8:04 - Kondo pinned Hate after a lariat

3. Mazada -vs- NOSAWA Rongai

--- And Mazada keeps having a better career in All Japan then NOSAWA!

1:41 of 8:20 - Mazada pinned NOSAWA after the Shoda Drop

20101024213.jpg

4. Kaz Hayashi © -vs- Keiji Muto - (AJPW Junior Title) [** 1/4]

--- Muto has slimmed down to 103kg and makes the 105kg limit for junior heavyweights so he can challenge for the AJPW Junior Title and try and dethrone Hayashi who has already broken the record of 15 defences during this reign. Interesting match-up for sure and didn't see this coming! While he's slimmed down a lot, his style is still the same. Lot of weardown holds early on and a lot of Shining Wizard later on. Hardly fresh, is it? But that's what we got. And from Hayashi we got a lot of variations of his leg-hook cradle trying again and again. He landed the Power Plant which has worked well during this reign, but not against Muto. And it so looked like Muto was going take the belt when he landed his famous moonsault! No, Hayashi kicked out!!! And instead rolled Muto up on another variation of that leg-hook cradle he'd been trying all match long. V16!

17:11 of 23:11 - Hayashi pinned Muto with a modified cradle to retain the AJPW Junior Title in his 16th defence.

5. KENSO & KONO & Rene Dupree -vs- Ryota Hama & Seiya Sanada & Manabu Soya [* 1/4]

--- Kono establish himself with the Voodoo Murders and helps make the All Japan generation lifes a difficult one. Soya was at least tried to get the fire in, but as he was on a roll Hama wanted to tag in and show the same fire and.....was beat up.

5:26 of 11:04 - Kono made Hama submit to a achilles tendon hold

20101024193.jpg

6. Akebono & Taiyo Kea © -vs- Big Daddy Voodoo & Charlie Haas - (AJPW Tag Title) [**]

--- Hawaiian due Kea & Akebono defending the All Japan belts against a couple of other Amercans in Viscera & Hass! And this was quite fun. Haas mixes well with Kea and while he's not the flashiest of wrestlers he's a sound enough worker for his work to work. But the real treat was naturally the big boys Akebono and Big Daddy V clashing! Lovely fatboys action with a hillarious awkward end as Akebono tried to splash Big Daddy leeping off the top rope, but Big Daddy was too far away and Akebono missed most of the splash. Still got the win! Second successful defence against Voodoo Murderers!

8:09 of 14:32 - Akebono pinned Big Daddy after a top rope bodypress. Kea & Akebono retain the AJPW Tag Title in their 2nd defence.

20101024242.jpg

7. Kohei Suwama © -vs- Masakatsu Funaki - (Triple Crown Title) [***]

--- And Suwama continues to bring it in the big matches and Funaki is an damn interesting opponent for him. They met in the Champion Carnival '10 for one of the better matches in the tournament. That one ended a 30-min time limit draw. And this war lasted almost just as long, but with a decision! It was kind of a slow grower so there wasn't all that many big teasers to create a jo-jo effect of emotion. But the fighting was a tight as it gets and you sensed the pride in there. One of the earlier highlights was Suwama smashing a table over Funaki's head! Funaki was more fond of the fast striking and locking in holds compared to Suwama's more impact based attacks. Loved the lariat toward the end there where Suwama really ramed the shooter down! Suwama also landed a Last Ride Ligerbomb. The real end came with a regular Last Ride after Funaki basically didn't manage to connect his killer strikes well enough to knock Suwama out.

20:49 of 29:13 - Suwama pinned Funaki after a Last Ride powerbomb to retain the Triple Crown Title in his 1st defence.

COMMENTS: Good show with 3 real interesting title matches.

SECRET BASE on COMM - October 24, 2010, Tokyo - (1 1/4 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Tokyo - Nishi-Chofu Martial Arts Arena (62 fans)

1. Guts Ishijima & Space Galaxy Soldier Andros -vs- Ferist & Blue Bicycle [1/2*]

--- This is the level Secret Base is at. And for their style and promotion this was short and almost sweet. Didn't out-stay it's welcome and didn't impress either. Guts continued to have pull in Secret Base.

8:28 of 8:28 - Ishijima pinned Bicycle with a Ligerbomb

2. Spark Aoki -vs- Kenji Takeshima [1/4*]

--- Could they have made this more lack luster....?!

7:27 of 7:27 - Aoki pinned Takeshima with a crucifix cradle

3. Yamamoto SAN -vs- Umeda - (MMA) [1/4*]

--- Not interested......

3:27 of 3:37 - Yamamoto made Uemda submit to a sleeper

4. GENTARO & Kazuhiro Tamura -vs- Chango & Go Sato [3/4*]

--- Some of this was actually good. Shocker! And what that came out of was the GENTARO and Go clashes. Go kept trying to keep up with the more established guy and GENTARO took him down a notch before beating him with a backdrop suplex.

19:22 of 19:22 - GENTARO pinned Go with a backdrop suplex hold

5. Masashi Takeda & Jun Ogawauchi & Black Orca -vs- Mototsugu Shimizu & Kinya Oyanagi & Yamada Man Pound [*]

--- If you forget about Yamada and this Black Orca dude, the others managed to keep up the workload and this ended up being one of the more positive matches from the promotion, but it's still just a throw-away match anywhere else. Jan gets to win beating the right guy for it dropping him down on his neck.

18:55 of 18:55 - Ogawauchi pinned Yamada after modified Death Valley Bomb

COMMENTS: Mostly forgettable stuff as always from this promotion.

BATTLARTS on COMM - October 24, 2010, Tokyo - (1 1/4 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Tokyo - Kitasenju Theater 1010 (109 fans)

1. Yujiro Yamamoto -vs- Kenji Takeshima [1/4*]

--- No Takeshima match is going to get me excited.....

5:56 of 5:55 - Yamamoto made Takeshima submit to a double-armbar

2. Bison Tagai -vs- Sanchu Tsubakichi - (B-Rules) [1/2*]

--- No striking rules which takes away a lot of the pleasure for me, and it's two fighters I do not like very much. Still it did look like they were trying within the rules of the match, but this didn't create too much excitement for me with Tagai rightfully getting the win locking Tsubakichi's arm behind his back.

12:22 of 12:21 - Tagai made Tsubakichi submit to a armlock

3. Tiger Shark & Super Tiger II -vs- Ryuji Walter & Yoshinari Narita [*]

--- Had it's minor monents, but most of all it was a long match without much highlights as Narita was taken care of after his offence had been too weak and few. Walter brought some power, but his impact blows didn't exactly save the match.

18:16 of 18:16 - Shark made Narira submit to a modified cross-armbreaker

4. Katsumi Usuda & Kyosuke Sasaki -vs- Munenori Sawa & Keita Yano [* 1/4]

--- They don't need to drag out these matches like this. Make 'em short and sweet instead. as a 10-min match it might have been quite good. But at this lenght and with the minor highlights so far and few between it didn't live up to whatever potential it had with Sawa vs Sasaki in there and Yano playing around with Usuda. Playing a little too long getting caught too many times and locked down to submit.

20:22 of 20:22 - Usuda made Yano submit to a figure-four ankle hold

5. Yuki Ishikawa -vs- Hideki Suzuki [*]

--- Not sure about Suzuki. He's got potential, but he seems too clueless how to use it in pro-wrestling as he seems too passionless in the ring when going for attacks. It would have worked fine had he been arrogant, but it's not that. He did do a nice bow'n'arrow and double-arm suplex in there and also went for bodyscissors which was here he made a fool of himself as he locked Ishikawa's body in a figure-four bodyscissor and Ishikawa twisted the ankle with his legs to make Suzuki submit out of nowhere!

15:23 of 15:22 - Ishikawa made Suzuki submit to a ankle lock

COMMENTS: The show was just there. Nothing really to see.

FUTEN on COMM - October 24, 2010, Kawasaki - (1 1/2 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Kawasaki - Lazona Kawasaki Plaza Sol

1. Manabu Suruga -vs- Brahman Kei [* 1/4]

--- Kei might have done better then expected, but he was out-classed at this style and the fighting in general. They did make it fairly even, but there weas no doubt who the best guy was as Suruga made Kei submit by bending the arm with the legs.

8:55 of 8:55 - Suruga made Kei submit to the Yasu Kyoku armbar

2. Koichiro Kimura -vs- Kazuki Okubo [*]

--- Kimura looked almost insulted by Okubo's kicks that he would kick Okubo's head hard several times during the match to make sure he got the point.....

7:03 of 7:03 - Kimura defeated Okubo by KO after a facekick

3. Tamon Honda -vs- Brahman Shu [* 1/2]

--- Honda shows, while he's a true character, all he is good for today is to be a punching bag. With Shu working around the laying or still-standing Honda the match at least got moving. And it got a little heart-warming at the end with Honda's personality shining through and locking in his shoulder lock for the win.

9:23 of 9:24 - Honda defeated Shu by TKO with the Rolling Olympic Hell Part 0

4. Takeshi Ono -vs- Ryuji Hijikata [* 3/4]

--- Hijikata having split with All Japan is now available for indy dates and gets a gig with Futen in a style he's very familiar with. And he looked good. Ono however looked out of steam at the end which took away the intensity of the finishing moments and he strikes looked bad and Hijikata just had to stand there and take it. Then Ono locked in his Octopus hold to win the match rather undeservingly. Best hit of the match was Hijikata's hard knee to the head!

10:19 of 10:20 - Ono made Hijikata submit to a Octopus hold

5. Daisuke Ikeda & Takahiro Oba -vs- Kengo Mashimo & Makoto Hashi [***]

--- A long bout which was fasinating. Mostly about the striking. Both comical and unexpected aswell as the stiff brutal shots one is accustomed to from this style. Not the most fast paced of matches, but it had it's own identity as they were trying to put together this clash making it very different to anything else out there. Most interesting aspect of the match was the battles between Hashi and Ikeda. The two would beat each other silly with headbutts, slaps and kicks until they both where bloody. And they'd try anything to gain an advantage. Hell, Ikeda did sentons and even tried a Tiger Mask like swing on the ropes hoping that he could take his opponents off-guard. Mashimo and Oba would do the same, but was clearly taking a step back to let the other two fight it out until Ikeda had Hashi beat kicking him down several times in the face!

28:09 of 28:10 - Ikeda defeated Hashi by KO after a facekick

COMMENTS: The main event was clearly the main focus on this show and it was strong and good battle.

DDT on Samurai TV - October 24, 2010, Tokyo - (3 hrs)

October 24, 2010, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall (1,364 fans)

1. Yasu Urano -vs- Cherry [*]

--- Urano beating up the Union Pro girl a lot. Cherry got her comeback, sure, landing a Swanton Bomb as her main moment along with several desperation cradles, but then Urano saw the danger and Tombstoned her for the win.

7:53 of 7:53 - Urano pinned Cherry after a Tombstone piledriver

2. Dick Togo -vs- Great Hentai(Michael Nakazawa) [3/4*]

--- Michael Nakazawa doing a Great Muta gimmick hoping that'll help him get wins. It wasn't. Not against a guy like Dick Togo. Typical Michael match regardless of the face make-up or not.

7:45 of 7:45 - Togo pinned Nakazawa after a top rope senton

3. Shuji Ishikawa & Isami Kodaka -vs- MIKAMI & KUDO [* 1/2]

--- Union Pro against DDT and it was a fairly fun match with the DDT side and MIKAMI especially stepping up to make it enjoyable. MIKAMI's big moment was his 450 top rope elbow drop! Never seen that before. But regardless how hard he tried he could not get Isami beat. And then out of nowhere Isami kicks MIKAMI down for the pin!

10:23 of 10:22 - Isami pinned MIKAMI after a Superkick

4. Toru Owashi -vs- Sanshiro Takagi [1/2*]

--- Comedy weapons rumble with heating owens, food and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi as weapons. Kikuchi is a madman and was the best thing bout this with his mental mentality. And then Owashi poured a bowl of water over the two and pinned Takagi.

8:54 of 8:54 - Owashi pinned Takagi after thowing a bowl of water over him

5. Kenny Omega & Antonio Honda -vs- Keisuke Ishii & Yoshihiko [*]

--- Golden Lovers II? And ah, against Yoshihiko and his sidekick. Watching Yoshihiko matches really scrambles my brain. German Suplexed will never be the same again after watching Yoshihiko managing to execute one right. Yoshihiko also did one hell of a Deja Vu huracanrana swinging around forever. Yoshihiko also took a lot of brutal shots. But the end was nearly amazing, had it not been a blow-up doll involved. A 3-man Croyt's Wrath tower! Omega Croyt'ed Ishii with Yoshihiko on top of there again! And thats how Omega won.

9:33 of 9:34 - Omega pinned Ishii with the Croyt's Wrath German Suplex

6. Hikaru Sato -vs- Kota Ibushi [** 1/4]

--- A interesting singles match, especially now that Sato has gone mostly serious and without the maids uniform and focuses more on his shooter background. And Ibushi tried to fight in a more power fighter way to counter Sato's technical skills. Not the usual Ibushi match even if he had some flashy stuff in there. No, the focus was more on Ibushi stiffing the guy while Sato tried to lock in submissions. Which worked well when he locked in the arm, leg and also bended the neck in one modified cross-armbreaker type hold with the referee stopping the match for a disappointed Ibushi.

16:18 of 16:18 - Sato defeated Ibushi viw Referee Stop with a modified cross-armbreaker

7. HARASHIMA © -vs- Danshoku Dino - (KO-D Title) [**]

--- Didn't touch the KO-D Title match with Dino challenging Ishikawa from February, but this one had it's moments too! With Dino finally showing he can take a ass beating letting HARASHIMA bring it! HARASHIMA was well on his way to winning having Dino knocked with the Somato when he decided to go for the gift Dino had with him. HARASHIMA opend the package and revealed a button to push. That executed a tribute video distracting HARASHIMA enough for Dino to take over the match. But the comeback wasn't nearly enough for the homo to win. Instead HARASHIMA went back to that ass landing a Somato double-knee on it before German Suplexing Dino on his ass. That did a lot of damage and Dino wasn't moving for the next normal Somato which got the champ his victory!

20:18 of 20:16 - HARASHIMA pinned Dino after a Somato double-knee attack to retain the KO-D Title in his 2nd defence.

COMMENTS: The final two matches were the important once and was good. The rest wasn't really that special.

BJPW on COMM - October 26, 2010, Tokyo - (1 1/2 hrs)

October 26, 2010, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse (319 fans)

1. Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu -vs- Kazuki Hashimoto & Takumi Tsukamoto [*]

--- The Sato Twins ride off the young guys energy and takes care of business. Simple like that.

8:40 of 8:39 - Shu pinned Tsukamoto with the Zombie Killer

2. Abdullah Kobayashi & Atsushi Ohashi -vs- Daikokubo Benkei & Yuichi Taniguchi [1/4*]

--- Just some clowning around.....

12:32 of 12:35 - Kobayashi pinned Taniguchi with a Gannosuke Clutch

3. Takashi Sasaki & Masato Inaba -vs- Shinobu & Steve Bulk [*]

--- Inaba has stopped being a pineapple copy of Golddust and looks a lot better without that costume. Not sure what to say about this Bulk. Nothing special at least. And easy flesh of meat for Sasaki to beat.

9:29 of 9:56 - Sasaki pinned Bulk after the D-Geist

4. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa -vs- Yoshito Sasaki & Yuji Okabayashi [* 1/4]

--- The hardcore elements is something Okabayashi is not used to so the hardcore kings kind of took care of the muscle monster fairly easy that way. They bloodied Sasaki up too and could only make some short firey attacks as Okabayashi was the main focus to take down.....

13:40 of 13:39 - Kasai pinned Okabayashi after a reversed Tiger Driver

5. Daisuke Sekimoto -vs- Ryuichi Kawakami [* 1/2]

--- 6th of Kawakami's 7 Heavyweight Trial Match Series. And it's against Sekimoto. Yeah, Kawakami was getting beat. It was only a question how Sekimoto was going to do it. In 3 minutes of raw power? Or streach it out and give the guy a training lesson. And thats what happend. Sekimoto worked slow and focused. That eventually opened for Kawakami to get in some throws and try and be touch, but that's when the slaughter happend......

14:07 of 14:05 - Sekimoto pinned Kawakami with a German Suplex

6. Yuko Miyamoto & Masashi Takeda & Isami Kodaka -vs- Ryuji Ito & Shadow WX & Kankuro Hoshino - (Light Tubes Death Match) [* 1/2]

--- House show style light tube match. Which means the usual spots and fun without any extra soul fire or different as far as the spectacular goes. But you get hardcore wrestling along with a few flying spots until Takeda took care of Hoshino German'ing him on light tubes for the three.

16:00 of 15:57 - Takeda pinned Hoshino with a German Suplex on light tubes

COMMENTS: This is what you usually get on a Big Japan house show. They used to try harder at this arena before.

October 27, 2010, Osaka Minami Move On Arena (235 fans)

1. Ultimate Spider Jr. -vs- Takoyakida [1/2*]

--- Easy action to start the show. Not terrible, but as expected not terribly exciting either with the Ultimate Spider getting the win.

9:55 of 9:54 - Spider pinned Takoyakida with a cross-arm Michinoku Driver II

2. Ebessan III -vs- Naoshi Sano -vs- Kanjuro Matsuyama - (3-Way) [1/4*]

--- Comedy 3-way to get to the final for the Tenpozan Title. Shit. Ebessan the third rate gets to the next round.

10:25 of 10:25 - Ebessan pinned Sano and Matsuyama with a side-roll-up

3. Billy Ken Kid -vs- Great Kaiser -vs- Ranmaru - (3-Way) [1/4*]

--- ....more chitty wok comedy......

8:23 of 8:25 - Billy pinned Kaiser with a schoolboy

4. Billy Ken Kid -vs- Ebessan III - (Karaoke)

--- .......how they could pick a winner here, I don't know. Both were singing horribly bad....

5:50 - Billy defeated Ebessan in Karaoke to win the Tenpozan Title

5. Black Buffalo & Tadasuke -vs- Kuuga & Hayata [*]

--- Decent 10-min filler tag. Best action on the show for sure! One could take the match seriously even if it wasn't an important bout for them. But they did their bit and the sleezy Hayata did the job.

10:23 of 10:15 - Tadasuke pinned Hayata after the Outkast

6. Miracle Man & Kuishinbo Kamen & Apple Miyuki -vs- Great Sasuke & Tigers Mask & Kana [1/4*]

--- ....and then for the long shitty comedy tag celebrating Miracle Man with Great Sasuke of all people doing the job for him after crashing head-first onto a ladder. They were good at being crap.

21:59 of 21:59 - Miracle Man pinned Sasuke with the Miracle Driver

COMMENTS: Miracle Man produces shit....

FREEDOMS on COMM - October 28, 2010, Tokyo - (2 hrs)

October 28, 2010, Tokyo - Shin-Kiba 1st RING (153 fans)

1. Tatsuhito Takaiwa & HIROKI -vs- Antonio Honda & Onryo [3/4*]

--- Easy fun, but in Freedoms rarely anything catches fire. And this was also only a minor match also so little was expected and little was given. HIROKI lands the knee on Honda head and beat him.

14:07 of 14:08 - HIROKI pinned Honda after a kneekick

2. Ricky Fuji -vs- Shigehiro Irie [*]

--- If only to see Irie's Kamikaze move on Mr.Kamikaze himself......

13:34 of 13:37 - Fuji pinned Irie after a cross-arm DDT

3. Keita Yano -vs- Abdullah Kobayashi - (Wallaby TV Title; Catch Rules) [* 1/2]

--- European rules of five 3-min rounds, yellow cards and stuff like that. And Yano tried to a bag of tricks taking inspiration from old England and old USA to get control over the bout. But the final round belonged to Abby Jr who was old Japan! Taking off his arab pants and wrestling in a Inoki black trunks and doing Inoki wrestling until he had the Wallaby Champion locked in a Octopus Hold....until the time limit.

15:15 of 15:00 - Yano wrestled Kobayashi to a Time Limit Draw after 5 Rounds to retain the Wallaby TV Title.

4. Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu & Kazuhiko Ogasawara -vs- Mammoth Sasaki & The Winger & Kamui [* 1/4]

--- An ordinary Sato Twins tag. Mildly amusing and with a rather devestating finisher as Shu dropped Kamui down in a modified piledriver with Kamui's head on the side and not between the legs!

13:34 of 13:35 - Shu pinnedKamui after a modified Piledriver

5. Jun Kasai -vs- Madoka [* 1/2]

--- Ok singles bout, but kind of forgettable. Madoka did a few highspots and worked over Kasai's leg quite a bit including big splashing it hoping to get the crazy monkey to quit, but it wasn't going to happen and after a couple of reversed Tiger Drivers Kasai had it won.

13:53 of 13:57 - Kasai pinned Madoka after a reversed Tiger Driver

6. Dick Togo & GENTARO -vs- Takashi Sasaki & Masashi Takeda [* 1/2]

--- Ok action again. Just not anything that'll stay with you or make you feel the match had any importance except including some of Freedoms top guys and freelancer Dick Togo for a tag. So after 20 minutes of random wrestling GENTARO got to backdrop suplex Takeda for the pin. Thats it.

20:38 of 20:38 - GENTARO pinned Takeda with a backdrop suplex hold

COMMENTS: Just another Freedoms......

BJPW/NEO on COMM - October 29, 2010, Tokyo - (1 1/2 hrs)

October 29, 2010, Tokyo - Shin-Kiba 1st RING (245 fans)

1. Yuji Okabayashi -vs- Kazuki Hashimoto [1/2*]

--- Poor Hashimoto getting squashed in no-time!

4:02 of 4:00 - Okabayashi made Hashimoto submit to a Argentine backbreaker

2. Masked Genbei & Atsushi Ohashi -vs- Daikokubo Benkei & Takumi Tsukamoto [1/2*]

--- More simple wrestling with Ohashi getting a rare win using his Tiger roll-up.

7:04 of 7:03 - Ohashi pinned Tsukamoto with a Tiger Suplex-style roll-up

3. Abdullah Kobayashi & Hiroyo Matsumoto & Basara -vs- Shadow WX & Yuichi Taniguchi & Aya Yuki [1/2*]

--- Light hearted pervert action with the boys loving to touch those ladies breasts. You get the idea......

9:40 of 9:40 - Matsumoto pinned Taniguchi with a schoolboy

4. Mens Teioh & Tanny Mouse -vs- The Winger & Ran Yu Yu [3/4*]

--- Follows the trend of not so serious wrestling. More technical, but done in a comical way. So it ends with a double European Clutch as Teioh takes care of Winger too.

11:40 of 11:40 - Tanny pinned Yu Yu with a European Clutch

5. Daisuke Sekimoto & Yoshito Sasaki & Ryuichi Kawakami -vs- Takashi Sasaki & Yuko Miyamoto & Kankuro Hoshino [* 1/4]

--- Shin-kiba doesn't have enough atmosphere to carry a match like this much hight. It was what you'd expect from the muscle boys of Big Japan on a smaller show. Decent wrestling, enough to not feel you're wasting your time. But still it wasn't anything you go out of your way to see either. And with a very standard finish. Sekimoto German on Hoshino.

12:07 of 12:06 - Sekimoto pinned Hoshino with a German Suplex

6. Yoshiko Tamura -vs- Toshie Uematsu [*]

--- NEO singles match as the NEO/NWA Pacific Champion Tamura have a battle with GAEA's 1995 student Uematsu. Fairly shakey executed when Tamura was in control, but Uematsu at least did enough good to get the crowd into it getting her share of near falls and such. But then came the Mount Cook! Bam, 1-2-3!

11:19 of 11:19 - Tamura pinned Uematsu with the Mount Cook driver

7. Jun Kasai & Jaki Numazawa -vs- Ryuji Ito & Yuki Miyazaki - (Light Tubes Death Match) [** 1/4]

--- WTF?! NEO wrestler Miyazaki doing a light tubes match?! Not her element at all and thats why this death match 'came so alive! Miyazaki tried harder then usual and you felt her struggles and pain as she was dropped and sent into crushing light tubes. Not only that! She also went hardcore doing a light tube crushing moonsault. She did need two tries before some of the tubes got crushed, but this I did not expect this of her! But she get a trashing from the death match kings and with her face all covered in red Kasai could kill her off with a Pearl Harbor Splash with a big bundle of light tubes laying on top of her. And I can tell you, Kasai loved to stiff the girl!

16:23 of 16:21 - Kasai pinned Miyazaki after a top rope light tube bodypress

COMMENTS: Big Japan and NEO coming together for a final joint show before NEO closes it's doors on December 31st. And it was mostly just waste of time matches....except for the main event which brought the feelings.

DRAGON GATE USA on COMM - October 29, 2010, Fall River - (2 hrs)

October 29, 2010, Fall River PAL Hall (752 fans)

1. Chuck Taylor -vs- Arik Cannon -vs- Johnny Gargano -vs- Ricochet - (4-Way) [* 1/4]

--- Tha spotfest! Supermoves to warm the crowd until Chucky T get somewhere piledriving Cannon nicely for the pin.

8:47 of 9:46 - Taylor pinned Cannon after a piledriver

2. Homicide -vs- Rich Swann [1/2*]

--- Mainly a squash debut win for Homicide which was neither very good or interestingly put together......

11:25 of 11:25 - Homiside pinned Swan after a lariat

3. Masato Yoshino -vs- Austin Aries [* 3/4]

--- Interesting match-up for sure. But not the fireworks one could have hoped for. Instead it became a match of holds and counters. More a scientific style bout. Couldn't keep it interesting all the way sadly. But it had some nice technical wrestling before the Dragon Gate champion defeated the former ROH Champion with the Sol Naciente.

18:01 of 17:59 - Yoshino made Aries submit to the Sol Naciente

4. Jimmy Jacobs -vs- Jon Moxley - (No-DQ; I Quit Match) [** 1/4]

--- Grudge match where a spike came in very handly. Firstly because Jacobs was bloodied up sporting a complete crimson mask as Moxley was beating on him. Jacobs looked really helpless too being tied up with his hands behind his back. Jacobs did try to fight even in that hopeless predicament almost getting in a front necklock that way. And once he got loose came the kill.....with the spike.....to the balls.....yes, any man would quit from that!

12:53 of 12:28 - Jacobs made Moxley submit with a spike to the balls

5. Akebono & Brodie Lee -vs- Amasis & Ophidian [3/4*]

--- Mosters against tiny flys. And while Akebono and Lee was fighting too they still had time to squash the bugs before having to be pulled apart....

4:48 of 4:49 - Akebono & Lee pinned Amasis & Ophidian

6. YAMATO & Akira Tozawa -vs- CIMA & Genki Horiguchi [* 1/2]

--- Loooong smaller show Dragon Gate action bout. Some cool stuff, but far from the orgasm the fans had hope for I think. Just your simple fun stuff kind of game with Genki's hair getting pulled out and Tozawa doing his thing with the two stars CIMA and YAMATO playing along and adding to that kind of atmosphere along with landing some of their moves to create some excitement within the nonsense. And while Genki is a popular character he's still a jobber to the likes of YAMATO and got Gallaria'ed.

24:02 of 24:02 - YAMATO pinned Horiguchi with the Gallaria

7. BxB Hulk -vs- Shingo Takagi - (Open the Freedom Gate Title) [** 1/2]

--- The Hulk/Shingo style 'epic'. A little slow and random at the start when they just tried to fill time because you got to have a main event that lasts a lifetime, all the time. But naturally this turned into a finisher frenzy toward the end with EVO's, Made In Japan, Pumping Bomber and several dangerous versions to murder each other the way they always do for special and not so special occations. True Dragon Gate style until Hulk got his revenge for the much greater hair-loss match a few months earlier, here beating Shingo with the H Thunder.....which basically is the same as one of those EVO's of his. V6 for Hulk.

26:07 of 26:09 - Hulk pinned Takagi after the H Thunder to retain the Open the Freedom Gate Title in his 6th defence.

8. Sami Callihan -vs- Silas Young -vs- Cheech -vs- Shane Smalls -vs- Caleb Konley -vs- Tommaso Ciampa -vs- Rip Impact - (Fray Elimination) [*]

--- Bonus match time and it's one of those Fray's which is a eliminations style rumble with a new guy entering every 2 minutes. Regular falls rules and no over the top rope stuff. Just a little showcase of what these guys can do with wild Sami Calliham taking the spotlight and showing what a madman he can be staying in there a fairly long while and beating the crap out of guys until he also had Young tapping.

15:25 - Callihan won the Fray last eliminating Silas Young

COMMENTS: Very mixed show. The Moxley vs Jacobs was fun. The main event had the climax while a lot of the undercard didn't really deliver much.
