Ross Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 My needs are pretty basic. I'll be using it for writing/browsing and music storage pretty much. So something with a big hard drive that's not going to crash on me in the middle of an essay. Â Also I find that using a Linux based OS such as Ubuntu makes my current computer run a lot quicker than Windows did but can cause overheating problems etc on an incompatible machine. So either something that runs really well on Windows or even better something with an alternative, open-sourced OS such as Ubuntu. Â Thanks guys! Try http://www.thelaptopcentre.co.uk they normally have some good deals on there. I got one of my lap tops from there for a good price and I've yet to have a problem with it.
