  1. Someone remove this bullshitter please.

I'll be taking a WP Mullins day today at Cheltenham.

    Lucky 15: Back in Focus, 13:30 @5/2, Pont Alexandre, 14:05 @11/10, Boston Bob, 14:40 @4s and Abbey Lane, 16:00 @7s.

Yeah, my statto pal on Facebook agrees on Mullins -

Starting to think that Willie Mullins has been reading the stats for Cheltenham and has planned all his horses to follow those routes. Nearly every race today has a Mullins horse top or second in the stats:

1.30 Back in Focus , Godsmejudge , Emperors Choice

    2.05 Pont Alexandre

    2.40 Boston Bob , Goulanes

    ... 4.00 Abbey Lane , Pendara

4.40 Zamdy Man , Another Sensation , Milord

The bumper is too tough to sort on stats as so many qualify but it wouldnt suprise me if Mullins took that with Union Dues. Sprinter Sacre is so far ahead that a 20 length or more win is not impossible. 11-8 in places to win by 10 or more still looks generous.

No surprise to see some of his horses coming in today.

I'm taking a couple of biggish singles on Boston Bob and Abbey Lane today with a decent double too. I was sorely tempted looking at Rule The World and Taquin Du Seiuil for E/Ws, but going with Bob and Abbey instead with my money.

  3. 3/4 winners for me on my Lucky 15, great racing as always from Ruby, makes a profitable start to the Festival.

Well played squire - any idea what's going on with the Cross Country? Will they run it later in the week?

Cross country will be on thursday, thats if the frost pisses off. I backed the same horses as Jambo resulting in a 80 quid profit. I might stick with Ruby all week!

Ehhh, not too keen on sticking with Ruby all week, not my sort of plan. Will reassess for tomorrow in the AM, gonna hope for a big spin up this week.

  4. Anyone ever seen any of those “Born to Kill” documentaries about serial killers? Obviously serial killer documentaries (especially ones on the post notorious or prolific of killers) have been done to death, so the angle these documentaries take is to attempt to sum up weather they were born with the mental deficiencies that caused them to become a killer, or weather they were gradually, socially adapted into the death merchants they became.

I watched a couple of these last night. The Fred West one was nothing much new that I hadn't heard / seen before, but I didn’t really know much about South Carolina's Pee Wee Gaskins until last night. What a horrible bastard he was! It was pretty unsettling to see Gaskins' daughter talk so casually about hideous crimes like child murder and baby rape, and still refer lovingly to her father and his memory. The crazy bastard even managed to kill another man when in solitary confinement on death row by sneaking a bomb into the guy's cell, telling him it was some sort of phone that he should hold up to his head, and then blowing his brains out with it. Gaskin's claims to have killed over 100 victims in his murderous career, but the authorities estimate the number much lower than that.

So, yeah. That one was interesting.

Yeah, just watched that episode after your recommendation, the guy was clearly a psychopath with multiple personalities. What I do find intriguing though is why they don't focus on his racist behaviour more, I know it was more accepted then, but I'd bet a pound to a penny that he'd been abused by multiple black men whilst young, and infact was probably step-fathered by a black man at some point.

The final killing was strange in that vigilante justice doesn't seem like his sort of thing, but it exemplifies his multiple personalities. He was clearly a smart lad aswell for being able to figure that final killing out. I'm off to find another of that series.

Also, forgot to say, I found it hilarious that in some of the photos of him he looks vividly like Frank Sinatra, then in other he looks like Kramer from Seinfeld, polar opposites.

  5. I'll take that. What matches should I be looking for?

Any singles match vs Karl Anderson, Tetsuya Naito, Hirooki Goto or Kazuchika Okada is good money. He seemingly had a cracker Vs Devitt which I dunno is out yet or available, but should be good.

His matches (as with most IWGP Title Matches now) are paced well with a slow build to an amazing set of false finishes, and focus on body parts.

  6. could you pm me the download link to the nash youshoot please?

kayfabe commentries should take note, nailz youshoot!

Yeah, totally, so you can illegally download that one too, and cost them money.

  7. Two kids at a show in Swindon tonight, both clearly not even born in 2002, let alone able to remember it.

"Wouldn't it be crazy if John Cena and Undertaker wrestled here tonight?"

"That couldn't happen. They can't wrestle here."

    "Why not?"

"They are in WWE. This is the division below WWE."

"Oh right. What's this division called?"

"Well, it's one below WWE, so it must be WW.... F?"

Fuck, does that mean Jeff Jarrett is truly the King of The Mountain and the best champion ever?

  8. once again Manchester City have let me down, I really need to just stick large amounts of money on Juventus and Manchester United,

just out of interest did anyone win anything today ?

Got a 7/1 double after the 3pms finished from Stoke/Spurs. Not bad as a daysaver.

  9. I watched The Hunger Games last night having read the book, and without trying to sound like one of them pompous cunts who insists books are always better, the book in this case is. The film isn't in-depth enough with putting over Catniss's hunting prowess before the Games, and doesn't explain her regular life well, which meant I switched off before the actual Games even started.

  10. Been watching Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy on Netflix over the last few days.

While Breaking Bad is good, it doesnt seem to have the grab that Sons of Anarchy does. I intend to just watch one episode of SOA but end up still sat there with it on 3 hours later.

Definitely, definitely stick with Breaking Bad. I'm coming towards the end of season 3 now and it's really stepped up a level, nearly into the same league as The Sopranos for me. I agree though that as great as it is, it doesn't have that same "must watch one more episode" feeling of something like 24.

THIS. Seasons 1 and 2 were pretty meh, but 3 onwards it has been my favourite show. I got to S3 of SOA and started to lose interest in the whole Ireland angle, but I plan to re-start tonight if I can find the time.

  11. Can I get some positive energy directed my way by you guys today, please? I'm expecting a decision on a job I've applied for that I reaaaaaaaaaally want. If I get I will have finally returned to the tellybox world and can leave the sales crap behind!

Positive vibes mate, and to think of what we were doing 7 years ago at this time, to be right back in the same situation together!
