  1. This whole production levels comment is such a grey area, it could be taken a number of ways.As a Promoter myself, I don't want pyro, a ramp, big letters up on the stage or six Americans getting the bums on seats. I promote a Scottish promotion, for Scottish fans and as an outlet for Scottish workers and "the best of the rest" around the UK to work and entertain the crowds we get. I'm not looking to run some sort of fantasy fed, where booking ability is overtaken by the fact 4 or 6 names are being brought in for absolutely no reason other than to get bums on seats.Looking at the bigger picture though, it's pretty obvious that the FWA are bigger and will remain so. In London, they have more possible fans than in the whole of Scotland. Even other major English Cities don't have the same pulling power on a prolonged basis. All I'm really looking at, or for, is a nice little 30 - 60 minute UK Scene magazine programme. TWC would take in tapes, even give their views on what production should be like and decide what to use...let's say they take 2 whole matches a week. Now, alongside that is a 5 minute segment giving who is running a show and where for that week. Something like this really shouldn't frighten the FWA and really shouldn't be a problem for TWC to show, indeed I'd think that they'd see it as a major part of their policy. Let's say that for the 2 shows TWC chose a match from, the shows both had crowds around the 200 mark. Well, that's 400 people maybe wanting to watch the show, watching TWC for more wrestling and everyone becomes a winner. The fact maybe 2,000 more Scots know SCW exists doesn't mean 2,000 more Scots will come and watch. In the same way that everyone in Torquay knowing there's a home match on Saturday doesn't mean that everyone in Torquay will go to the match. This is a perfect opportunity to get British wrestling on the whole to progress, it would just be nice to see it being done properly.

Its very rare i agree with Kenny, But a UK magazine show would be good, showing snippets, matches of other promotions. Its a good idea, that would work and would make a difference..
  2. The thing is thinking about it as a promoter. The FWA are the only promotion in the UK that are really ready for TV. They have first class production values, which improve at every show. The talent they have on the shows piss all over every other promotion in the UK.I know I say wZw have some shit hot shows and yes we do, but we are a while off TV standards as are every other promotion in the UK.This is a benchmark for us all to reach. Production, show management and the talent booked on these shows. I am not going to be glum, sod it I am going to get my company up to the standards the FWA have set. Gary

  3. Its not good, and I am not happy about it.BUT, at the end of the day its business. The FWA are protecting its interests and obviously made a great case to the channel and struck a good deal. To be honest show me a company in the UK would not have done the same given half a chance. I would have I think :/ The channel is also looking out for its own interests, its not interested in promoting British Wrestling, its job is to make to money. The FWA will be like the WWE of the UK, and by keeping the competition off the screens makes them more powerful. It will either work or fail only time will tell.Well done FWA, I hope it works for you....Gary

  4. This is just what British Wrestling needs, seriously. This is showing how stupid and dangerous BYW is. Parents are watching this, and now they might take control of what the little retards are doing. This documentry has really took the piss good style. This has proved to everyone that BYW is a joke, and now people can see that BYW is not Wrestling, its kids being egged on by UKBYW forums. I think its about time parents were educated on BYW.I enjoyed the docu, its just a shame that British Wrestling can not get the air time for a decent docu.Gary

  5. No one likes critisism, its always a hard bitter pill to swallow. The thing is I have found the main bone of critisism comes from people who dont actually go to shows, they don't buy the tapes, they just try to be Smart. Example lets say Alex is flavour of the month, and someone praises him for something or another. You can guarentee that there will be about 5 pages of replies and 70% will be slagging him off. And I would bet that 50% of those have never seen him wrestle.I have taken loads of shit about my promotion, and sometimes I will bite back, anyone can come up to me at a show and say they did not like it, i will happilly sit down with them and listen to the comments. But when someone who has looked at a few pictures on the site, maybe downloaded a clip or two slags off what we do, then thats different. If people would rather hide behind a computer to slag off a wrestler or promotion then they are not worth the bandwidth they use. If a fan goes to a show and feels let down they have the right to complain, it it be on the internet forums, thats fine to a point. they purchased a ticket and went home let down. But so called marks/smarts or what ever who dont go to shows, just sit infront of the computer, with one eye on the latest SST tape and one eye on the UKFF waiting to see who they can offend. Thats the shits to be honest and well i have learned the hard way its best not to over react to them. After all if they are talking about you, you are doing something right. Just my 2 cents...Gary :duh::thumbsup::duh:
