WHY HULK HOGAN IS SUING FOR $50 MILLION IN BACK SURGERY SUIT

TMZ.com featured more details on Hulk Hogan's lawsuit against the Laser Spine Institute of Florida, noting that when he was advised to do surgeries that he didn't need, it forced him to lose out on a WWE contract worth $50 million.

 

TMZ's report noted that the surgeries forced Hogan to miss out on a huge payday against John Cena in what would have been Hogan's retirement match.

 

That match was originally booked for Wrestlemania 25, until Hogan's back issues led to WWE going in another direction. At the time, PWInsider.com had reported there was talk of Cena vs. Hogan for that event.

 

Hogan is claiming damages for all the money he would have received under what was referred to as a "phase out" contract with WWE, where he would have retired and maintained a presence with the company.

An independent film titled "Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies" is currently in post-production after filming over the course of the summer of 2012 and features appearances by a number of names, including Terry Funk and Roddy Piper.

 

The film, which raised over $30,000 via Kickstarter.com, is being directed by Cod Knotts.

 

Listed in the cast according to IMDB.com are Roddy Piper, Terry Funk, Shane Douglas, Matt Hardy, Larry Zbyszko, Reby Sky, Sylvester Terkay and Raven. Douglas and Terkay filmed several scenes at an Extreme Rising event in Queens, NY last June.

 

Douglas is also listed as a Producer on the project and was involved in their Kickstarter campaign earlier this year.

 

We'll have more on this, well, unique project as we get it. Unless the zombies rise before then.

The main event should basically be as many uk jobbers as humanly possible being fed to the Steiners. I'd like to see TNA do a All Star at the Empire style show just to see what it looks like. I bet its a proper culture shock watching it set up that way on TV. Seems like something definitely worth a watch just to see what it looks like.

This is why I found it slightly 'newsworthy'. The venues people are mentioning like Hammerstein ect all have side balconies. This venue has none, should be interesting to see what they do with the place.

I'd imagine the sides of the building could even be used with the cloth could be used for projectors and such.

TNA have announced Lockdown to be taking place at the NFL size venue 'Alamodome' in San Antonio, Texas. The same venue has hosted the 1997 Royal Rumble. It's also been moved to early March.

I keep banging on about this, but what annoys me more than anything is supposed wrestlers acting like fans on social media websites. That shit is something Twinn would do, not a wrestler. I've never heard of Kris Travis, but judging by what I've read he's a British Wrestler. Its fucking pathetic watching him try and get himself over (and worse still die on his arse) on twitter in this manner. I watch wrestling for larger than life characters and charismatic showmen not nerds with shit tattoos who troll proper stars. The marks are now the wrestlers.

 

On the plus side I doubt Kris Travis is in any danger of being in the same locker room or in fact time zone as JBL any time soon.

 

He'll probably try and work this into some kind of angle at some Britwres show and nobody will know what the fuck he's on about and then they'll bring out a JBL impersonator called JBHell or something because they couldn't afford the suit and cowboy hat and instead have to use a Kane mask that one of them bought at the last British Raw taping.
