  1.

    That doesn't necessarily mean anything.

There's one for me and my company too, and believe me, its way off the mark of my actual earnings...

To stay on topic, Ive been a reader of Powerslam from the start, and SOW since issue 4. Think Ive only ever missed one or two issues in that whole time. I used to sit and read the whole magazine in one sitting, but over the last year or so, I've struggled to finish an issue before the next one came out, so from my point of view, its the right time for it to stop. It had a great run.

Thanks Fin, best of luck in your future endeavours.

  2. Thanks! I knew there was probably someone, can't believe I forgot about Macho and the Genius - especially considering the Genius is all that (seemingly) stands between Randy and the H.O.F

I doubt that is the case really.

Lanny appeared on a recent episode of WWE Countdown talking about wrestling robes, so he cant be on that bad terms

  3. Did anyone else's recording sort of mess up? I recorded on my Tivo box but it stopped during the Show/Orton segment, then restart a bit later when Ziggler come out.

There has been a new virgin media TiVo firmware update rolling out this week (Adding Netflix) Maybe you were unlucky and it happened during your recording (?)

  4. Its a pic of benoits son david and y2j at a wwe show, do any of you think he'd ever get a spot in the wwe with what his dad did or would they be reluctant to do so?

He'd have to be mental to want to get into the business at all, given what it did to his father, and ultimately to his family.

Im sure he'll still have family friends dotted around though, so nothing strange about meeting up with them backstage.

  5. Question:

On GTA:O, why can't you put a bounty on certain people's heads?

I realise rank is one thing, but if they're over a certain rank and it's not letting you select them, is there a reason why?

Maybe they are in passive mode?

  6. Working the stock market involves a fair bit of time and effort, I think. And either Googling or trial and error. I'm not sure how many of the full ins and outs of it have been found yet, but I'm wondering whether stocks go up after a radio advert. I'm ignoring it until I've finished the main story.

Can you access the Bawsaq market on a 360 without Xbox Live Gold? I know when my PS3 isn't connected to the PSN, it gives a "the market is down for maintenance" message. But some of Lester's assassination/stock market missions involve stocks traded on the Bawsaq rather than the Liberty City Exchange.

Cant say from experience, but ive read that bawsaq works with xbox live silver.

    GTA Online wont though....

  7. Silly fucking cow, what a shit thing to commemorate.

It's still better than AJ Styles' shite tattoos, can you imagine him explaining that one to the grandkids? 'This one is where I heroically overcame the odds and beat Jeff Jarrett' 'Yeah nice one dickhead, go and have a kip will you? You're talking bollocks again'

I thought AJ Styles tattoos were of his childrens birthdays. Is that not the case?

  8. What does a biker gang want with a wrestling company that's on TV?

The gang is made up of wrestlers..

Exactly. That's why I don't like the Aces and Eights storyline. As its wrestlers in a biker gang in a tv storyline it just feels like another wrestling stable. Basically my point is a gang should feel scary intimidating and they are not. A real gang would be coming in knocking fuck out of people who work for Universal studios smashing up the place attacking fans but we know that if that happened police would be called and real arrests would be made.

Everything you said there is pretty much exactly what they have done though.

In the early days of the angle they were beating up people randomly backstage and in the ring. They kidnapped Joseph Park (Officially not a wrestler) and smashed him with a hammer - Thats as scary and intimidating as a wrestling faction can realistically be these days. They were shown arriving en-masse, 'Dawn of the Dead' style and invading the impact zone. Due to this, Hogan was getting the police involved at points, and they had a lawyer on the case too. They haven't been attacking fans, but what on earth would that achieve anyway?

Granted - it hasn't properly been explained what a biker gang wants with a wrestling company, but as was mentioned - we have seen that they are wrestlers so far under the hoods who dont already work for a major company - makes perfect sense that they have been pushed so far that they have joined a gang to get on TV - At least thats my interpretation.

Not sure what more erratic camera work would be achieving either. You mention that a cameraman should be in the crowd watching them invading them from the back - Why would a cameraman be in the crowd? It would just show that it was planned. Its still TNA's cameramen filming the show, so why would it be less polished? Why wouldnt a cameraman be filming backstage watching them coming in? They do it for everyone else. Would you expect that cameraman to not film things happening in front of him because 'They dont work here'?

Not saying the angle is perfect by any means (And I havent watched the show in several weeks now admittedly) but from what I have seen, it has been handled as 'realistically' as possible

  9. Its probably too late anyway but he should wrestle in proper boots to support his ankles instead of trainers and kickpads which will offer no support.

Maybe they cant take the pressure from boots though?I dare say there is a reason if he is wrestling in trainers, as he wore boots for most of his career
  10. I know it's not a flattering picture, but he looks about 65 there, like an ageing Jimmy Stewart who's still dying his hair.

What was the last decent film he did? Road to Perdition?

    Does Toy Story 3 count?

I dont think he looks that bad there really, considering he's no spring chicken (56)

  11. Gina Carano the first name for an all female "expendables"

Rothrock, Hamilton and Weaver have to be in this surely. I'd probably put lucy lawless in their too

Geena Davis, what with the archery and the Long Kiss Good Night should be considered, Michelle Rodriguez for pretty much everything, and then any from Milla Jovovich, Uma Thurman, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsdale, Ali Larter, Jennifer Garner, Michelle Yeoh, Zoe Saldana, Scarlett Johanson, Grace Jones, Bridget Nielsen and possibly Trish Stratus

    That sounds bloody awful.

And your list is? Oh right, yeah, pouring scorn is much better.

Wasnt knocking your individual list, its just a really bad idea for a film.

As you said later, women action stars are far and few between, which just goes to show that there isnt much of a market for such a film. Looking at your list, some of them would either be far too old or expensive anyway.

As such, I dont have a list like that of my own. Putting a couple of token females in "The Expendables III" would do the same job.

If people want to see an all women action film, they'll watch Charlies Angels.

  13. Another top post, cheers - very interesting reading.

In regards to that last picture, it raises a point Ive often wondered about....

whats the story with belts being spraypainted? Obviously the gangstas and nWo did it, possibly others - does that ruin the belt, or can it be restored afterwards?

I remember when I first saw Hogan do that It seemed a bit of a shame, and wondered if that means they needed a new belt
