  1. George Carlin is the stuff of legend. Certainly makes me feel better after a shit day.

Not to everyone's tastes but I'm off to see Roy Chubby Brown next week.

Looking at purchasing John Cleeses DVD too. Was that any good?

  2. Currently reading the book "Bronson" Written about high-profile criminal 'most violent prisoner currently alive' Charles Bronson. It's a very interesting book with some good humour and tragic tales. I'm quite into reading about criminals, crime and notorious hard bastards, so this book is right up my alley. Anybody got any recommendations on books like this??

  3. Just got an email from High Voltage announcing the set times and i am gutted about Heaven and Hell being on 25 minutes before Black Label Society!

Still, on the plus side i get to see ZZ Top. Anyone else going?

  4. I've been considering doing both days but I'm not sure I can justify the extra expense. It would be cool to see Black Label, Orange Goblin and the Dio Tribute though.

That's the exact same reason i'm debating doing both days, expense. What's the likelyhood ZZ Top will be on same time as BLS?

  5. Anybody else going to the High Voltage Festival? In warm up I've mainly been listening to DOWN this week. You gotta love them. To be honest I've not heard much from the other bands at HVF but I've been dying to see DOWN live for ages.

I'm going for Black Label on the Saturday, but not sure whether to stick around and see DOWN as well.

  6. Saw Iron Man 2 straight after work this evening, as it was soon as I possibly could, and it's a fuckin blast. It's not quite as good as the first one but it's a great couple of hours nonetheless. Downey Jr is one again brilliant as Tony Stark and they really explore his demons well. There's a lot going on in the film but it never decends into a huge mess a la Spiderman 3. It's absolute reference heaven for comic book nerds (make sure to stay after the credits too) and it's really pulled into the whole Marvel universe. It may be a little overly referential if you haven't seen the first one and/or are unfamiliar with the comics. But it's just great fun and once again really well written, acted and directed. The Iron Man series really sets the bar, along with Nolan's Batman films, as how to do a comic book movie.

What happens after the credits?
