  1. Bumping this up in light of the UKFF Gold thread - and given that Nigel swore that he did nothing wrong, isn't it strange that he hasn't posted anything since this happened almost six months ago?

  2. Me thinks that Vince announcement just filled up the time they shaved off Goldberg and Brock due to the crowd crapping on it.I think we're supposed to go "oh, fatal four way under sudden death rules, how exciting," instead we're all going, "ooh sudden death rules, it'll be over quicker, thank god."

During the Vince segment, they changed the (beer soaked) canvas on the MSG ring...
  3. One last plug before I go (from Colin Vassallo; Wrestling-Online; I'll be there too)Now, Friday March 12th. If you're in the New York area, there's one baryou have to stop by. Coyote Ugly New York. We're gonna do a party right there and the owner of the Coyote franchise, Liliana, told me that she will do some special for wrestling fans in attendance. I had a telephone conversation with her a few hours ago and everything is a go. If you can, pop up with a wrestling related t-shirt. I'll have my W-O baseball shirt on so if you spot me come say hello, the rest of the crew will be there as well. The address of the bar is 153 First Avenue, New York, NY.Date is Friday March 12th at 10PM EST. I will have internet connectionat the hotel so send me an e-mail if you require assistance or if youhave a question. Everyone is invited.

Putting wrestling fans into an environment where women dance around on bars is not good. :( I shall give this a miss.
One point about Coyote Ugly - if you are not of drinking age (i.e. under 21) - DO NOT GO.
  4. Just heard a little rumour that in USA you are not allowed to lock your cases.this is so that they can inspecxt the contents should they deem it necesarry.I personally think this really sucks, and im not happy about it.anyone could put somehting in, or take somehting out!!!! F***ing Terrorists! Just thought id warn you, be careful if you pack any valubles!

Absolute BS - from the three of us travelling from Heathrow to JFK; I was the only one to have my case locked, and I wasn't hauled over.Colin did have his hand luggage inspected at Heathrow though; besides -all valuable electrics should go in your hand luggage!
  5. From NYC; the travel packer's hotel is literally a block from the old WWF New York place; which is a handy reference :)My room had been upgraded (first I'd heard of it) - and I'll post the pics when I get back so the other packers can get envious.Gonna keep this short (as I've not read the other posts) - the HHH/Flair signing sold out on Monday, but the Toys R Us store is disappointing. Only half a dozen crappy looking t-shirts, and a load of figures.I'll be trying to get to the press conference tomorrow...and definitely the ESPN Zone meet up for SmackDown. It can't go any worse than tonight at Coyote Ugly, where I left after an hour being bored witless having the p*ss taken out for not drinking... (underage - and they let me in... weird)Can't believe the Lesnar story at all. Everyone at Mania should chant "Quitter Boy" a la the restaurant owner in the Simpsons :)Til next time, from the easyInternet cafe opposite my 10th floor room at the Westin :p

  7. I'm taking around $1,000 in TCs; $300 in notes, and I've got a card if I need it.My brother in law, who's been to NYC before, reckons that (unless you're eating at the fancy places), $30 a day is the MOST you should spend on food.Obviously, that's not factoring in alcohol ;)

  9. For Fozzy - bus #107 from New York Port Authority goes to Irvington. It takes half an hour, and the last bus back leaves Irvington at 12:40 AM for a 1:22 return...It's $4.35 each way - so make that just under $9 for bus fare (plus ticket and drinks)

  10. For those of you who want to do something other than watch wrestling, Fozzy's doing a gig on the Friday before Mania.Metal Meltdown The Cricket Club 415 16th Avenue Irvington, NJ 07111 973-374-1062 Friday, March 12, 2004 On Stage 9:00 PM - All Ages- It's about 10 miles away from NYC...

  11. Cheers for the info, looks too tight, we couldnt afford to be delayed or anything, oh well we still got out Knicks tickets

Yeah - I was thinking about making the trip to Atlantic City for SD. However, my flight lands in NY at 4.15pmIt's a 45 min bus trip from JFK to the hotel, so we'd be there at 5pm at the earliest (assuming baggage and customs takes no time - which is never the case). You could probably make it, but with jet lag being added on top of that, you'd be lucky to make the 2nd half of the show.
  12. Another update here:The Ric Flair/HHH autograph signing in the Times Square Toys R Us is a ticket-only affair. There's 500 tickets, and you've gotta get a ticket by spending $20 in the WrestleMania XX shop (in the store) between March 1 and 10th (signing is on the 10th).Ticket holders will receive the Superstars
