  1. The reason the Legends figures have failed imho is because the places who would actually sell em to collectors have been having a hell of a time getting ahold of them from day one with Mattel. They just aren't geared up to cater to that market in the same way the previous guys would. I until very recently sold a lot of WWE stuff and pretty much gave up because of how unbelievably difficult they are to get ahold of - I'm sure they're doing well in Toys R Us and the like but in one sense I reckon Mattel have completely dropped the ball...

  2. WE KNOW WHAT'S BEST. WE'RE THE INTERNET.

You do realise that "The Internet" isn't some collective Ronin-hating Group Mind, right? It's just a bunch of people on a forum in this instance who think you're a shite wrestler. Get over it, if that's the worst thing anyone ever says about you you're doing pretty bloody well. You're clearly not ever going to actually take anyone's opinion on board, and shame on you for not being willing to do so, so the best you can do is just ignore and not dig any deeper a hole for yourself.

mc no one remember the mc not even fit enough to ref

I'm sorry but are you serious? A quality MC can make an absolute WORLD of difference to a show, it is in my opinion one of the most important jobs on the show. I have no idea if Moj himself is any good, I'm sure the promoters he's worked for will be able to tell you that, but this dismissal of the role makes me very skeptical about LPW in general. Why on Earth would you post that? What difference does it really make? Has anyone else come on here and ranted in such a baffling way? The mind boggles.
  3. Not about to go into a long angsty rant on the topic but I'd just chip in that Michael Wentz - and his tag partner Jordan Way (who I'm sure will be on there somewhere) are green more than anything else. If people think that at this point this in mind that makes 'em amongst the worst around that's totally fair enough, but I'm sure as they progress they'll prove themselves to be unworthy of the dubious accolade, haha.

What I would say is if anyone SERIOUSLY thinks Robbie Brookside is by implication one of the WORST 15 workers in the UK, I think you're quite, quite mad.

  4. if you "hate" or "dislike" anyone/any promotion why do you all waste all your time trying to bash and criticise everything they do?

It's a fan forum, intended for discussion of UK wrestling events. That doesn't mean, post about what you like and ignore what you don't like. If you put yourself out there, especially by posting threads to promote your own shows or those on which you're appearing, you open yourself to criticism. If people here see something and don't like it, they have every right to criticise it. With the individuals in question, it ain't like they're being roundly negative about everything either if you do a bit of reading around the forum.
  5. It was nothing to do with the haters on here either.

Oh please! How come it seems these days that any time anyone who's not a worker or not involved in the running of a promotion expresses a staunchly negative opinion they become a "hater"? Maybe they just have NOTHING GOOD TO SAY about a promotion, and MAYBE that promotion deserves that criticism! If you disagree then state a reason why and if you are a worker then prepare to be JUDGED on that opinion, but do NOT demean people by grouping them as "haters" or some other such nonsensical label. It's not like they're an organised group out to sabotage anyone's hard work, it just happens that a number of people have a negative outlook on something or someone! Here's the facts: the fact that you're involved in the business does not automatically make your opinion any "more" valid. Some of the people who post on here and are "just" fans have watched more live wrestling shows than I would ever care to - the likes of UK Hat Guy included. Ultimately, no promotion lives or dies on one review, and some of the best in the UK pay little to no attention to forums such as this. This, however, is a fan forum, and if you're going to read it and post on it, leave people to their opinions. They are not "haters" for disliking something, even if that means they feel what one promotion does is actively bad for the scene. Consider that maybe it's true, and maybe there's a great deal of it around, and then consider why that might be and what could be done to improve.Nobody here is on a personal quest to spoil anyone's fun or ruin anyone's little hobby promotion, and maybe people should consider that before posting. It's nothing personal to the original poster here, it's a turn of phrase that crops up a great deal and it's immensely frustrating.
  6. Utterly, utterly brilliant. This is the second thread this year I've seen that you could novelize due to sheer entertainment value, and the other one wasn't on a public forum hehePeter, the reason people continue to take the piss out of you, deride you, post email contents and such is because, quite frankly, it's just good fun. It's a fan forum, and if you're going to have a mental little episode like this several times in one thread, what do you expect?!Advice time: STOP POSTING!
  7. Back in reality, not enough people read this forum for it to kill anything.

I have no personal opinion on PTW having never witnessed a show, abide I've heard plenty of other peoples to suggest that there's certainly something in what UK Hat Guy posted. And here's the thing, if you think that responding in that fashion to fans who have in all fairness watched a show, disliked it and then decided to voice that opinion on a fan forum is at all called for or professional, I'd suggest going and doing something that makes you happy that you can profit from - neither of which I'd imagine are happening here.

Really, just perspective required here - if the UKFF makes so little difference to your bottom line that you're willing to post a vitriolic rant against all and sundry upon witnessing negative feedback, why not just ignore it? I have no doubt from experience that it's true - advertising on here whilst costing nothing probably does make no or little difference to your draw, but it seems utterly counter productive to post like that as a promoter and risk turning people away.

Oh yea, and if this finds it's way into a PTW promo on a show, I guess enough said lol...

  8. There's a good chance that I'd have stopped watching wrestling in the early 90s had it not been for the likes of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. The fact that both have now passed on well before their respective times is shocking and saddening, and leaves a gaping hole in the modern product that it's going to take something really special to fill.God bless and rest in peace.

  9. The most shocking revelation of all - Bagga paid for something! :omg: In all seriousness, this needs to be put to bed. It's really easy to post under a pseudoname and sling mud however the original poster may be or may be attached to (won't pretend to know), which is why I rarely post and do not use pseudonames. No disrespect to 1PW, what Steve is trying to achieve or any of the talent, naturally, but again, the fact that this was posted does nothing positive for 1PW; all it's done is reveal details of a project sadly, a long time before there was set to be anything to actually talk about publically.Having said that, if the waters are being tested by choice or as the case is here not, at least the idea seems popular!

  10. I didn't want to shill on the voting threads, but I just wanted to pop by and add that if anyone is curious to see the match a few have voted for - El Ligero Vs JC Thunder from GPW Saturday Night Showdown - it's now available via www.3cw.co.uk/catalogSimilarly, if anyone's curious to see more Ice XVII Vs Stevie Lynn, I recommend 3CW Darkest Deeds 2 and 3CW Kode Red from the same page. I'm done, heh.
