Looks like Gary Anderson is also crossing over to the PDC, although this time its not the constant rumour mill grinding we always hear shortly after the World championships. Darryl Fitton and Gary Robson may join him too since they have the MIB exhibition team going.
Good start to the Premier League last night, Taylor again looking head and shoulders above the rest, the 125 outshot being the icing on the cake and also Mervyn King looking very good against a very uninterested Wayne Mardle.
-
Taylor basically walked to a 7-1 romp for the title, Barney was a bit lacking in his game tonight, some good counter scoring but other than that, he was shown up to be very ordinary. Taylor on the other hand looked more at ease than he even did against King in the semis and just played his usual game to great effect. Not as close as many expected it to be, Taylor must be annoyed at not nailing the 9 darter but hes now a 14 time champion and at a peak most sportsmen rarely achieve.
-
An insane standard of darts here, never seen such consistancy in a world final before.
-
I remember hearing that 35000 tickets had been sold for the whole duration of the championship, the final must be an advance sellout surely.
-
Barney with a 9-0 whitewash, Taylor a tad annoyed with losing 3 legs and now Adrian Lewis through after beating Wayne Mardle 9-8 in a thriller. James Wade in the mix too for the 4th round, what a tournament so far.

Michael Watsons book is highly recommended.

The Guardian are reporting that ITV may pull out of their Sports Network contract due to other sports rights cost, namely the FA Cup and England matches. While theres only a live fight on terrestrial once every so often, its good for fight fans with no access to Sky or Setanta. Heres the article anyway...

Khan really ripped Earl apart, who indeed was too exposed right from the start. But the stoppage was a bit harsh, another ref (maybe Terry O'Connor or Mickey Vann) would have kept the fight going, Earl vs Katsidis being the obvious example.

This has to be the greatest television programme in history.

What are the origins of the rules used in most of the matches that took place on World of Sport? Ive never heard the full story of how these came about.
-
Im pretty sure that match took place at Vengence 2001, might be wrong though.

Any idea if TNA dvds are out in the shops yet? I read somewhere they were meant to be released on the 20th.

Goodbye Lenin: Awesome German comedy, although a bit too sentimental in parts its a really good film based around one of the defining historical events of the 20th century.

A video I too have made, its of the Mike Awesome Vs Masato Tanaka match from ONS last year. Its my first go at editing a video so I'd like to hear some feedback.

Chisnall was simmering under the radar for a while before he took Adams to the limit, the only way is up for that guy, maybe making an impact in the Grand Prix series over the summer. Gurney did seem a tad arrogant in his manner, also rushed too many shots which could have helped him. On the subject of Adams, hes yet again declined his Grand Slam invite, maintaining his role in the BDO as Olly Crofts lapdog.
