  1. Day 12, Friday, August 7: Act City Hamamatsu: BLOCK B matches:

    Hard cam, no commentary...for the love of Christ!

    Here's the 08/07/15 show on NJPWWorld.com

    http://njpwworld.com/p/s_series_00333_12_1

    1:30:49 mark on NJPWworld;

    Yuji Nagata vs. Michael Elgin:

    We'll see if Elgin continues to grow on me. They did a lot of stuff-Exploders and Powebombs into the buckles. Elgin's Falcon Arrow after lifting Nagata off the apron into a superplex first. Elgin got the win with a buckle Powerbomb and a regular one for the win. Short and fun. *1/2

    1:48:08 mark on NJPWworld;

    Tomoaki Honma vs. Karl Anderson:

    Big Honma chant. They did all the stuff you'd expect. It's like watching Sombra in the G1 a few years ago hen he was incapable of doing anything other than a set routine. A few of the guys are coming across like this now. It was alright, nothing stuck out. *

    2:05:35 mark on NJPWworld;

    Satoshi Kojima vs. Hirooki Goto:

    These guys aren't always the lost exciting when you think of them, but are good at selling which is different test days. Match was alright, but didn't seem to stand out too much-hard to tell with the hard cam no commentary set up. *

    2:23:13 mark on NJPWworld;

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    Yujiro had his ho Cody Hall with him. This should be short with Nakamura injured. Hall interefered and Yujiro gave the ref a light shove. The ref proceeded to walk almost half the ring and climb up on the turnbuckle and look the opposite direction-that was fucking dire! They did some stuff, Nakamura won with some kicks. YEAOH! *

    2:39:08 mark on NJPWworld;

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Tomohiro Ishii:

    They did some guardrail action that was way too hardcam far away. Okada used Suwa's John Woo dropkick at one point-'necessary training guys'! He hit anHeavy Rain Slam and the neck drop on the knee thing. Ishii comes close with a Sliding D and brain buster. Great German suplexes by Okada leading to the Rainmaker win. Love these guys! Good match with some fresher than normal reversals, taken down a notch by the production, or lack thereof. **

    Another poor show, but with a very good main event worth catching. Skip the rest!

  2. Day 11, Wednesday, August 5: Iwate Industrial Bunka Center Apio: BLOCK A matches:

    It's a hard camera show with no commentary-fuck me!

    Here's the split matches 08/05/15 show on NJPWWorld.com

    http://njpwworld.com/p/s_series_00333_11_1

    1:38:25 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Bad Luck Fale:

    This should be a classic! Match wasn't going too well when the useless Tama Tonga interfered just to make it worse. Tenzan was going to lock on the Anaconda, but decided not to do it and instead waste time by looking at Tonga before knocking him off the apron. What a fucking idiot! WWE style~! Splash off the too by Fale for the win. Dire. *

    1:53:15 mark on NJPWworld;

    Katsuyori Shibata vs. Toru Yano:

    The polar opposites of each other-the joker and the straight man. Bet this will be good. Yano threw water at him so he got his head kicked in! Shibata went for the Penalty kick but hesitated, then tried and put on the arm breaker only to be rolled up and pinned in less than five mins! Upset! *

    2:02:44 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Doc Gallows:

    Gallows tried to miss something off the top and almost killed himself and maybe Tanahashi. Gallow's was meant to catch him off the top in a choke slam and they fucked that up too. Gallows with a big silly slam thing for 2.6. Tanahashi hit Reno's Roll The Dice. High Fly Flow hit knees. Gallows gets 2.8 off of a Jackhammer. Tanahashi rolling cradle for the win. SUCH A HOUSE SHOW! *

    2:20:23 mark on NJPWworld;

    Togi Makabe vs. A.J. Styles:

    AJ took a few bumps on the guardrails. Camera 2 moved and zoomed in so we could see what was going on for once! Suplex into the buckles by AJ. AJ got his moonsault DDT after an interminable delay before flipping over. Styles Clash attempt. Springboard Hayabusa forearm. Meaty clothesline and flip bump by AJ. Makabe hit a Powerbomb but missed a King Kong kneedrop. Style's Clash for the win. Alright match, way above others here so far today. *1/2

    2:39:05 mark on NJPWworld;

    Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi:

    Naito's gimmick follows the pattern of most exciting vibrant wrestlers basically giving it up and taking it easy at the expense of match quality-think Sasuke The Great for example. Boy, that sentence sucked! And so did the 'I'll slide under you Ibushi so you can mushroom stomp me' or whatever idiocy it was. Flipper did some flips. Usual routine stuff so far. He rocked my world with his fresh moonsault to the floor-go Flipper! They almost killed themselves when Naito tried a reverse frankensteiner off the top-he hit it, but it looked like they were trying to remove Ibushi's neck from his shoulders in the process. Some more 'I can't believe that's only a 2.8 count on my most magical night evah!' type overselling by Ibushi. Naito won with that fucking stupid slam where his opponent lifts him up and flips him around their heads for no apparent reason. Such a shit move. Crap match. *

    A truly wretched show, so sad to see NJPW going steadily down the toilet.

  3. Day 10, Tuesday, August 4: Sendai Sun Plaza Hall: BLOCK B matches:

    Multiple cameras, no commentary. Crowd are turned way down or quiet and the canvas is deafening!

    Here's the split matches 08/04/15 show on NJPWWorld.com:

    http://njpwworld.com/pg/s_series_00333_10

    Michael Elgin vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    Elgin with a press slam and delayed suplex with squats. Elgin with a Bam Bam Bigelow Nuclear Splash over the ropes into the ring. Elgin is somewhat like Buzz Sawyer, and is perhaps growing on me a little. German into the buckles by Elgin. Superplex by lifting Yujiro off the apron all the way over. Flip dive by Elgin off the apron. Yujiro with a Fisherman Buster on the floor. Powerbomb into the buckles by Elgin, followed by a sit out Powerbomb for the win. Better than expected! *1/2

    Satoshi Kojima vs. Tomoaki Honma:

    This should be good. God I HATE Honma's new music, what happened to the weird techno metal? At least he still has the Vampire Chicken robe! Honma took a few Koji Cutters, one off the second rope. Brain Buster by Honma. Lariato exchange. Honma tried his diving forward headbutt only to essentially get punched in the face. Kojima with a big lariat for the win. Alright. *1/2

    Yuji Nagata vs. Tomohiro Ishii:

    A hard kick and chop exchange. Exploder off the top by Nagata. Superplex by Ishii. Nagata doing a lot of rib selling. Powerbomb by Ishii. Exploder into the buckles by Nagata. What is this obsession everyone had with moves into the buckle? Roll the Dice tribute to Reno by Nagata. 2.6 off a bridged German by Nagata. Hard slap sequence with sweat flying. Sliding D and a lariato by Ishii for the win. Wasn't looking forward to this, but they hooked me in. Good work lads! **

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Karl Anderson:

    Okada chant by the fans, he looked so unflustered. Cool kick off the apron by Anderson, and a Powerbomb on the apron. Two teases of a count out by Okada. Okada played possum before nipping up into an attack sequence. Anderson with the knock off of Goto's knee neck breaker. Gun stun blocked and a flying European uppercut by Okada. Okada with a knee neck breaker and top rope elbow. Running Powerbomb by Anderson. Reverse Gun stun off the top. Okada blocked a Gun Stun and lifted Anderson from a lying position into a tombstone, great move! He then Rainmaker'd Anderson's ass for the win. Good match! **

    Hirooki Goto vs. Shinsuke Nakamura:

    Not a very good match. I know he's injured and all, but I'm starting to dislike Nakamura. He's all silly poses and shaking and lightweight in the substance-selling and storytelling. They did some stuff, not particularly great, and also did the worse thing possible-MULTIPLE KICK OF FINISHERS! The G1 last year was so great because when a finisher lands it was all over. This was like a WWE main event. Goto made sure to slam Nakamura right on his bad shoulder. Finishers kick outs and a Nakamura submission win. Crap. *

  4. Eh, is anyone still watching this?

    I stumble and fall as I see the finish line in the distance...

    Day 9, Sunday, August 2: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium: BLOCK A matches:

    Oh man, the weakest line up yet, but we do have multiple cameras, but no commentary :(

    Here's the 08/02/15 show on NJPWWorld.com:

    http://njpwworld.com/p/s_series_00333_9_1

    1:39:33 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Kota Ibushi:

    Yawnzan against Flipper McGee! Tenzan stomped him, Flipper missed a second rope floor to the outside-who'd have thought he'd try that fresh move?! And he did about 3 rolls backwards after missing for some reason. Ibushi reversed a suplex. Lariato exchange sees Tenzan win out. Tenzan blocks a flip with his knees. Ibushi won with the Firebird splash. Not too bad. *

    1:57:33 mark on NJPWworld;

    Katsuyori Shibata vs. Bad Luck Fale:

    BIG test for Shibata here! Shibata did an Inoki and fell to his back

    immediately- IT'S A SHOOT BROTHER! Shibata with a cool forward roll into a takedown. Fale knocks him off the apron onto the guardrail. Fale beat him up some. Sleeper hold by Shibata, but Fale breaks it and gets him up for the Bad Luck Fall, but just as he tosses Shibata he drops him and gets caught in the sleeper again-okay, that was great! Fale sells by slobbering all over himself and gets a hard Penalty kick for the loss. Great ending! *1/2

    2:10:22 mark on NJPWworld;

    A.J. Styles vs. Doc Gallows:

    Two matches in a row with massive disparities in talent. Will prob be short too. AJ with a springboard off guardrail into a choke slam on the apron, ouchy! Hayabusa springboard forearm by AJ. Calf Slicer attempt. HUGE Bloody Sunday RIGHT ON THE TOP OF DOC's HEAD-too sweeEEETTT! Not too bad. *

    2:26:54 mark on NJPWworld;

    Togi Makabe vs. Tetsuya Naito:

    Naito takes seemingly five minutes to take off his suit. Gimmick is sure getting heat with me! Makabe gets pissed off and attacks only to be outsmarted. Naito pretended to get a head o' steam for a tope, only to lie on his back instead, funny. Naito pushes Red Shoes down and spits on him-NO DISQUALIFICATION! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON NEW Japan? ECW 'rules' to be used soon? So stupid. Big slam and a missed King Kong kneedrop by Makabe. Makabe smashed his head into the top of the post-Naito JUICED hardway I think. Spider suplex and a King Kong for Makabe. Good, but never really got going like you'd think a semi main would. *1/2

    2:51:34 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Toru Yano:

    Tons of comedy. Some messing around with a chair and exposed the bubbles. Tanahashi wins with the High Fly Flow. Thought it'd be a bit better and surprisingly not Yano's best match so far in the G1! *

    Pretty awful show, not offensive, just nothing happening.

  5. Day 8, Saturday, August 1: Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium: BLOCK B matches:

    Multiple cameras and commentary!

    Here's the 08/01/15 show on NJPWWorld.com:

    http://njpwworld.com/p/s_series_00333_8_1

    150801_njpw_g1_pict01.JPG

    1:45:26 mark on NJPWworld;

    Satoshi Kojima vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    The very definition of a nothing match on paper. Camera starting to get disturbingly close to Yujiro's lady's crack! Interference by Cody Hall as usual. "I don't know what happened" said Yujiro in English. There was a Kojima DDT on the apron and a Yujiro Powerbomb into the buckles. Brain buster by Kojima and a lariat for...Hall to pull the ref out, who also bumped over the rail. This early 2000s WWE 'highspot' is the shits. Hall comes in for some bumps and Yujiro wins with the Miami Shine silly slam. Crap. *

    150801_njpw_g1_pict09.JPG

    2:04:47 mark on NJPWworld;

    Yuji Nagata vs. Karl Anderson:

    I've always found Nagata to be an insufferable bore, and going against chubbed out lazy comedy Anderson does not a happy viewer make. As formulaic and obvious as you can get. Anderson won with something. 1/2*

    150801_njpw_g1_pict18.JPG

    2:21:15 mark on NJPWworld;

    Tomoaki Honma vs. Michael Elgin:

    Not been an Elgin fan at all so far. Love Honma though! Elgin did his delayed suplex with squat. I must apologise to him now as I said he was a fucking idiot for stealing Honma's spot early on a show, but of course it's building to Honma using his later. I hope. Hmm, it was kinda, but it was more like Elgin just spoilt a spot. Elgin slapping his thighs like crazy again making me to want to skip his stuff. He jumps off the top for a completely nonsensical silly knee thing. He did lift Honma all the way in from the outside to the top rope into a Falcon Arrow which was pretty damn impressive. Buckle power bomb thwarted by Honma headbutt! Another to the back! Huge Honma chant! Misses headbutt of the top. Honma got bumped around like a rag doll. Elgin wins with a spinning Powerbomb. Sad to see they won't put Honma over scrubs like this. **

    150801_njpw_g1_pict33.JPG

    2:37:14 mark on NJPWworld;

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tomohiro Ishii:

    Nakamura's missed a few shows, so knowing the mentality if a Japanese wrestler, his arm must be comlletely focked. Ishii managed to sort of reverse powerslam Nakamura right on his bad arm-nice one! Red Shoes counted a 2.8 as what seemed 3, what a tool. Sliding D by Ishii. Kick and Bomaye to back of Ishii's head. One off the top leads too... A kick out! Falcon Arrow by Nakamura and a Bomaye for the win. Was kind of disjointed and never got going with any real selling, just taking turns. Very disappointing but understandable with Nakamura's injury. *1/2

    150801_njpw_main_pict10.JPG

    3:00:15 mark on NJPWworld;

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Hirooki Goto:

    Okada did his MASSIVE leap over the guardrail to hit Goto in the first row. This fella's such a great athlete and has years and years left in him. DDT off the rail follow up. Cool flying European uppercut by Okada to a downed Goto. great roll up sequence into a cool neck breaker by Okada then hits his

    amazing dropkick, diving elbow, but fails a Rainmaker. Great stretch of reversals and headbutts before Goto finally Shoten's Okada for the win. Very good match, with good selling-it makes a big difference. **1/2

  6. Day 7, Wednesday, July 29: Fukuoka International Center: BLOCK A matches:

    Multiple cameras but no commentary. I would subscribe to Samurai TVs new online thing- is it possible? I can't find any info on it anywhere.

    Here's the 07/29/15 show on NJPWWorld.com:

    http://njpwworld.com/p/s_series_00333_7_1

    1:38:40 mark on NJPWworld;

    Toru Yano vs. Doc Gallows:

    Yano's face was all fucked up from the Tenzan shoot headbutt and bloodflow. "Shake hands, I'm gentleman, gentleman!" said Yano. One good thing about no commentary is hearing Karl Anderson at ringside "you dumbass" - after Doc missed a clubbering blow to Yano's back. Magic Killer by the baddies for the win. Was enjoyable silliness. *1/2

    1:51:00

    Togi Makabe vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan:

    Don't know how much you can expect from this as Tenzan was broken down enough before splitting his head open the other day. Makabe hit meaty clotheslines to Tenzan's weak replies. Tenzan's arms are so skinny, it's weird seeing him off the roids-he might have been for years, I just always skip his matches. King Kong knee off the top for a Makabe win. Pretty nothing happening match. *

    2:04:00 mark on NJPWworld;

    Katsuyori Shibata vs. Kota Ibushi:

    The real man out second with his DOPE music! Crowd solidly behind Shibata. Some great stuff already at the start as Shibata tries to kick his head off his shoulders and barely misses, followed up by a huge uppercut forearm when Ibushi tries a springboard, and a big kick off the apron. Shibata series of forearms in the corner, when he runs to the other corner Ibushi follows only for Shibata to pull his hair and lay into him again. So good! Ibushi stole his forearm sequence and sliding kick to the face, but this just pissed Shibata off and Ibushi paid in forearms, stomps and kicks to the face. Ibushi kind of missed a moonsault outside. Shibata sadly selling for this for a couple of minutes as Ibushi kicks after being in a long figure 4 earlier. Thankfully Shibata begins to shake his head at these nonsensical happenings and rises to...sadly get hit by a floppy flop for a 2 count. He catches Ibushi's leg and Ibushi keeps trying to forearm him away, Shibata calls bullshit on that and hits a MEGA forearm to the face. Massive crowd chant for Shibata, none for Ibushi! Big German and kick no sell sequence that was good stuff. DVD by Shibata. Ibushi with some nonsensical punches that didn't look good, but did hit his boss kicks. Shibata swats him away with a big slap, sleeper hold and a Penalty Kick for the win! YES! A manly man wins! Very good match, best of the tournament so far. ***1/2

    2:22:40 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Bad Luck Fale:

    I love the translation of Fale's name into Japanese-Bad Rack Whare, should be sweet rack! Tanahashi sold and sold to get this match over, even doing a High Fly Flow to the outside. Two more regular ones should have got the win, but Bullet Club pulled the ref out. Same idiotic Red Shoes ref didn't DQ him! Bullet Club suck the life out of everything. Some kicking out of finishes. Splash off the top by Fale for the upset win. I was upset too. *1/2 for Tanahashi's one man show.

    2:42:30

    Tetsuya Naito vs. A.J. Styles:

    Kind of a nothing match. Had good moves etc. but never seemed very fresh or intense. Best  it was Style's talking before the match about what an idiot Naito was coming to the ring in a suit and taking aged to get it off. Naito's lazy gimmick fails another match. *1/2

  7. Ibushi/Shibata was a war. Love it.

    Gonna watch it now :) *Watched- damned if that wasn't the best match so far, great stuff!*

    Day 6, Tuesday, July 28: Beppu B-Con Plaza: BLOCK B matches:

    Multiple cameras but no commentary :(

    Yuji Nagata vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    No girl with Yujiro, budget cut to match his talent cut. He has the hotty Cody Hall with him though! Pretty basic match. Nagata with an Exploder into the buckles. Yujiro tried a nutshot, and got the win with a body slam basically. Ok. *

    Hirooki Goto vs. Tomoaki Honma:

    This should be good. Was good, mostly back and forth. Honma hit the top rope heatbutt, but all for nowt as he was Shoten Kai'd for another loss. Felt like it could've done with 5 more minutes overall. *1/2

    Tomohiro Ishii vs. Karl Anderson:

    This could be strange, don't see Karl wanting to get too hurty. Ishii dropped him on the ropes during a superplex attempt last year after his shoulder injury-causing Karl to do what he called his first ASAI MOONSAULT! Not a big fan of the chubbed out tattoo comedy era Anderson so much though. You could close your eyes and imagine this match and it was exactly that. Not bad, just lacked fizz. Anderson hit a few gun stuns, but fell to a Sliding D and Brain Buster for the win. *

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Michael Elgin:

    No match, Nakamura already injured :(

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Satoshi Kojima:

    Will these guys try to make up for the loss of the semi-main? DDT off the guardrail by Okada. Koji Cutter after a while. Not quite Okada like elbow off the top by Kojima, followed by a brain bustah. Some great selling by both, some guys in this tournament could learn from these guys. Okada hit a Tombstone pile driver and roared out before getting up to Rainmaker Kojima's ass for the win. Good battel~! **

    Not much to see on this show. Move along people!

  8. Day 5, Sunday, July 26: Hiroshima Green Arena: BLOCK A matches:

    Multiple cameras and commentary!

    Here's the 07/26/15 show on NJPWWorld.com

    150726_kak_g1_other_pict05.JPG

    Doc Gallows vs. Bad Luck Fale:

    Battle of the big men, could go either way quality wise. Let's hope they keep slamming into each other and have a tough guy match! They did! Doc brawled him outside and threw guardrails at him. Fale returned the favour. Doc went up for a Vader bomb but was caught for a Bad Luck Fall, though it was thwarted. Fale hits a chop to the cheat for the win, called a Grenade by commentators, but nowhere close. People will say this was bad, I'd say a perfectly good pro wrestling match. *1/2

    150726_kak_g1_other_pict13.JPG

    Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Toru Yano:

    Yano squirted water at him immediately and slapped him in the back of the head to get on his tits. Then as soon as Tenzan tried to get him, Yano begged off into the ropes. Holy shit! Tenzan hit a concussion inducing shoot diving headbutt to a downed Yano, the result? Blood everywhere! Tenzan got juice and Yano was bleeding like he'd been transferred to BJPW. Serious juice pouring out. They finished up quick with the nutshot finish for Yano. ** FOR THE BLOODMARK!

    150726_kak_g1_other_pict22.JPG

    Togi Makabe vs. Katsuyori Shibata:

    They beat each other up as expected. Good tough guy action, very few spots. Shibata is everything KENTA wishes he was. Shibata brought the fire as always, showing a lot of fire with leaping kicks to knock Makabe off the apron, top rope etc. Shibata caught another opponent in the sleeper/Penalty Kick combo for the win. Good battle but very short. **

    150726_kak_g1_other_pict33.JPG

    Kota Ibushi vs. A.J. Styles:

    A big test for AJ, can he construct a logical match with the king of the flip flops? AJ crisp on everything as usual. AJ essentially gave him a chokeslam neck first on guardrail. What the fuck were they thinking? Big kicks by Ibushi. AJ with a MEATY apron clothesline and a sweet diving forearm. Hayabusa tributes galore! Cool spinning stomach breaker. AJ teased an apron tombstone. Moonsault off second to floor by Ibushi. AJ teased a superplex to floor, blocked a super frankensteiner, hit a lariato, and hit a weird reverse tombstone for 2.8. AJ missed a springboard 450 for 2.5. Pele kick exchange, and a Bloody Sunday for 2.8. Super frankensteiner and a Hayabusa splash for an Ibushi win. Good match, great execution. Low on build up and selling. **1/2

    150726_kak_g1_main_pict19.JPG

    Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tetsuya Naito:

    Tanahashi went up for a High Fly Flow to the floor, but Naito just walked off and lay down out of reach. You'll never get booked in PWG Naito if you don't help fulfil every spot! Rude awakening on a non breaking table outside by Naito. Some serious budget on grooming in NJPW with all the coloured hair going on: Naito, Tanahashi, Yano, Honma, Makabe, Yujiro, Fale, Ibushi, Tenzan, Okada, Kojima...Jesus Christ! Naito spit on him, icky! Followed up by two more right on the face! Tanahashi kept slapping him, trying to get him to fight the true fight. High Fly Flow to the floor! Naito in charge for a long time. Sling Blade and High Fly flow, second one met with knees. Big German by Tanahashi. Spitting exchange! Tanahashi on the ascension, only for Naito to hit a ludicrous gravity and logic defying move where he took over Tanahashi's brain like he was a parasitic spider and caused him to help lift him up in the air. Uh, ok. Good match! Kept from being epic by Naito shenanigans and lack of selling, but that should pay off down the line. Naito beat up Tanahashi more after the match and put the boots to Red Shoes too, should've really put the boots to him and I'd have given more stars! **1/2

    Good show, was alive feeling for a change. Cameras and commentary really helped. Recomended!

  9. Day 4, Saturday, July 25: Takamatsu City Gymnasium: BLOCK B matches:

    Oh for fuck's sake, ANOTHER HARD CAM SHOW!

    Here's the 07/25/15 show on NJPWWorld.com.

    150725_kak_g1_other_pict01.JPG

    1:36:40 mark on NJPWworld;

    Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    Yujiro out with a less enticing lady than normal who literally smashes her ass off the ring. Prob did more interesting stuff than Yujiro will do in this match. A gulf divide in talent here. Yujiro's a bit like the Miz. They did some stuff outside the ring, no idea what because it was so far away from the zoomed out camera. Crowd deadly quiet. Yujiro already employing Randy Orton restholds. Some stuff happened. At the ten minute mark Yujiro hit the Dominator for 2.8. Ishii hits back with hart shots. Gu headbutt by Ishii off a nutshot attempt. 2.8 after a Sliding D. Brainbustah by Ishii for da win. Okay, but impossible to get into due to camera work. Of course once it ended the cameraman had no problem zooming around. Thanks producer! *

    150725_kak_g1_other_pict09.JPG

    1:53:40 mark on NJPWworld;

    Satoshi Kojima vs. Michael Elgin:

    This will take Kojima back to MLW days (HHH has never heard of it cos he's such a big star-anyone remember that?). Elgin does some goofy overselling. Koji cutter in first few mins. Stupid foot stomp by Elgin. He does a long suplex with squats-does this dipshit not know Honma has a similar move and he's out later? Unbelievably bad flying elbow by Kojima. Elgin slapping his thighs on kicks I'm the most indytastic way possible. Forearm exchange. DDT by Kojima on the apron, well it was supposed to be but Elgin mucked it up. Some Powerbombs and lariats before Elgin just jumped off the ropes for seemingly no other reason that to get lariated for the loss. They shook hands on such a great battle afterwards. *

    150725_kak_g1_other_pict18.JPG

    Hirooki Goto vs. Karl Anderson:

    Anderson hit a Powerbomb on the apron which looked five miles away. Also a Bomaye type kick. Goto hit the neckbreaker on the knee, only to eat a Gun stun while attempting a Shoten Kai for the loss. *1/2

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Yuji Nagata:

    I've become so frustrated with the shit presentation of this show that I've skipped Namamura's introduction for the first time in forever :(Deathly silence from the crowd, Christ when are we going to be in Osaka or Korakuen? Fuck this crowd! 5 mins in, yawn. This show is so dire. Imagine a Nagata vs. Nakamura match from the past 7 years. Bomaye and kick exchange. Nakamura wins with what looks like a super kick. Yeaoh! There you go. *

    Hmm, no pictures of this match on Sportsnavi, so I'm sticking this in:

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Tomoaki Honma:

    Had hopes for this on paper, but lost interest by now. Some stuff happened miles away outside the ring. Honma did his cool delayed suplex that we already saw Elgin steal earlier. Headbutt to a downed Okada! Brainbustah by Honma for 2.5 and an attempted flying headbutt thwarted by a high dropkick. Heavy Rain and a neckbreaker for 2.5. Sweet flying elbow by Okada and an attempt at a Rainmaker clothesline....Thwarted by a Honma flying headbutt!!! Michinoku pile driver thing and a missed headbutt by Honma. Tombstone attempt by Okada, another Honma flying headbutt! Big German by Okada and a Rainmaker for the win! Good match with two of the best in NJPW. **1/2

    Main event was good but overall I'd say AVOID THIS SHOW, AS A VIEWING EXPERIENCE WE PAID FOR-IT SUCKED!

  10. Day 3, Friday, July 24: Kyoto City Budokan Center: BLOCK A matches:

    Samurai TV, but NO COMMENTARY! Holy fuck, NJPWWorld are really testing the patience here. Sound quality is also appalling, like an mp3 you got off lime wire ten years ago.

    Ibushi started no selling Gallows brawling after about 20secs. Doc helps him do a flippy do. Gallows with a big neck slam off apron to floor. Doc beat the snot out of him until Ibushi did a new move-a moonsault to the floor! Only messing, HE DOES IT EVERY MATCH~! Doc being extraordinarily generous lets the mini flipper give him a German suplex. Doc with one of those lift a guy up and twist him as you drop why didn't I just body slam him specials. Doc with a Goldberg jackhammer cos he talked about it on talking shop last week for da 2.5 count. Finally he tries a power bomb only for....Another clumsy awkward roll up loss like Fale to Naito on the first night. Oh dear. 1/2*

    150724_kak_g1_other_pict14.JPG

    Fale clubbered him for a while. Then it was Makabe's turn. I like Makabe but his corner punches look so weak for a man who normally throws so meaty. Fale with his "I'm not big enough really to use the splash" eh, splash. False hits the Bad Luck Fall/Border toss for da win. Another 1/2*

    150724_kak_g1_other_pict19.JPG

    Yano is such a goof he should annoy me, but he does some funny stuff. He threw a chair direct at AJ when he attempted a springboard off the guardrail. HE MIGHT BE PERMANENTLY BRAINDAMAGED-ALERT MELTZER ET AL IMMEDIATELY!! Red shoes, ever the mark for putting himself over, wouldn't count a standing flexing pin by AJ for some reason. AJ in control mostly, so he's getting rolled up for the loss for sure. AJ suplexes him into the exposed buckle for a 2.5 count. AJ into the exposed buckles twice and a Powerbomb by Yano for 2.5. He tries the foul but AJ with a Pele. Yano nutshot gets a close count, but he's Calf Sliced for the loss. Good fun. **

    This should be match of the night easily. Shibata is THE BEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD- he does nothing that does't make any sense, he wants to win and will fight hard for victory, no silly moves or flips needed. Naito on the other and has adopted the gimmick of a lazy bastard (Sombra) a never was or will be (Mascara) and a vastly overrated mark (Rush!) -that's a silly move Naito! Speaking of which, Shibata makes sense by not waiting for Naito to dick about in his suit and be ungovernable by kicking his ass immediately, go Shibata! The silly move is Naito jumping off the apron to drop kick the guardrail basically. It was hyper Jeff Hardy/RVD-tastic in its ugliness. Naito further shows his ungovernableness by slowly taking off the suit to reveal...normal gear! Figure 4 by Shibata. Shibata really laid into him, and when Naito wanted to do his turnbuckle trip into a seated dropkick (is there anything worse than a seated dropkick?) Shibata just held the ropes hard and drop his feet into Naito-go real wrestler! Shibata GRAPPLED him some more before finally locking in a sleeper hold and a Penalty Kick for da win. Good man! **1/2

    150724_kak_g1_main_pict05.JPG

    Not too excited about this TBH! Not going to lie, spent most of the match reading Cagematch to see how many matches Leo Burke had in AJPW. These matches are kind of why I stopped watching NJPW years ago. Seen them millions of times before. Get rid of Tenzan and some new blood please. Tanahashi with a ROLL THE DICE! Reno lives! High Fly Flow for the mercyful (fate!) end. *

    Another largely crap show. This cash grab of spreading out the shows is certainly not paying off quality or atmosphere wise. And cash grabs never benefit the fan.

  11.

    Time stamps for the matches on NJPWWorld are at the top of each match.

    Thursday, July 23: Twin Messe Shizuoka: BLOCK B matches:

    Oh fuck, it's a single camera shoot show....well, shot with one camera...but not shot well...but with predetermined endings. Fuck, I'm already confused. At least I proved I literally give two fucks about this show!

    1:33:52 mark on NJPWworld;

    Satoshi Kojima vs. Tomohiro Ishii:

    A very silly never ending forearm exchange ends with Kojima making his tits dance. At least I think he did, he was so far away he may have been suffering cardiac arrest for all I know.

    Aaaaannddd, here comes the spinning circle of streaming. I should point out now that I fucking hate streaming and find it to be a step backwards in internets. Downloading the show and being confident in its playback would be so much better. That said, i haven't got fibre broadband yet! Multiple stoppings in playback on a hard cam show do not an interested viewer make. Day one played back perfect tho. Hmm.

    Anybody remember Kojima's early AJPW merch with 'a cozy relationship between us' written on it? Very strange.

    Anyway Kozy ax bommered tha muthafucka a few times. He elbowed the fuck outta Ishii only to eat a second GU headbutt, a sliding D and a brain bustah for da win. Well done Ishii! Looked like a fun match. **

    1:52:00 mark on NJPWworld;

    Hirooki Goto vs. Yujiro Takahashi:

    Yujiro out with his lady and Cody Hall. Goto's kind of a great boring wrestler with epic music. He can have great matches but it's hard to get excited by him. Of course now there's a woman out there they have multiple camera angles!

    Lots of nothing by Yujiro, including two hand bite spots, only for Goto to literally bite back.

    Hall tried to get a Yujiro chant going...fat chance! Turnbuckle powerbomb by Yujiro, then he broke out Austin's 24 year old stun gun. A nice reversal sequence sees Yujiro eat a Shoten Kai for the deserved loss. Fuck you Yujiro! *

    2:08:30 mark on NJPWworld;

    Yuji Nagata vs. Tomoaki Honma:

    Honma changed his dope music! Now has a poor Judas Priest knock off :(

    Nagata seemed like a nice man when I briefly met him and I LOVE Honma now even more that bleedy back light tube ouchy Honma.

    Honma did that super cool delayed almost can't get it suplex. He then smashed a light tube over Nagata's head! Well, no he didn't, but he did the equal impossible by easily hitting his headbutt for once! He teased hitting Bernardo driver on Nagata-he may be anti-ageing but he'd be fucked if he took that! MEATY lariato by Honma. Nagata with an Exploder into the buckles-ouch! A good forearm exchange has me wondering what the fuck happened to Honma's voice? It's so raspy, he used to sound normal. Nagata did his constipated demon arm bar. A couple of Kishinbo Kamen headbutts by Honma. Good stuff towards the end with Honma eating two big German's, one with a bridge, for the loss. Fun. **

    2:26:50 mark on NJPWworld;

    Kazuchika Okada vs. Michael Elgin:

    Michael Elgin's look-oh dear. I've never seen him and have zero interest, looks like he has no charisma at all. And all the 'disappointment at not being in last years G1' - who the fuck are you anyway?! I LOVE Okada though, so We'll see!

    Elgin comes out looking ravishing as the ROHbots work themselves into a jizzy lather. We'll see if he can 'carry' Okada. Another great theme for Okada, suits him perfectly.

    Wait, I have seen him before, that Wrestlemania weekend show with the big German suplex off the top onto his head-backyard rules~!

    "Let's go Rainmaker, come on!!" shouts the Japanese Gedo to Japanese Okada. Elgin looks small, though Okada is a tall fella.

    Elgin is ALL ABOUT the 'look at this big move I'm about to do' and nowt much else. He missed a very silly flippy do off the top. Elgin took about three steps to clear one third of the ring. Elgin is like Kevin Owens- lots of time spent thinking of flashy moves, a vast tape collection, and no physical look whatsoever that will draw a casual fan into watching them. Probably the worst G1 entrant since the dark days of MVP or La Sombra.

    Okada Rainmaker'd the goof for the win and it didn't look as good as normal. Silly match. *

    2:44:32 mark on NJPWworld;

    Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Karl Anderson:

    Anderson was really good two years ago, now not so much. I wouldn't begrudge anybody a comedy tag run to rest their body but this is getting a bit much. Bullet Club has and always will suck copious amounts of cock, hopefully we get none of the piss poor Devitt run two years ago.

    Anderson sounds like he got John Zandig to sing his new theme.

    I like Nakamura, he's not the same level of Tanahashi or Okada but so long as he's in with a good worker (not Ibushi!) he's excellent.

    Anderson hit a cool bomaye type kick in the ropes. Nakamura does a goofy roll backwards out of the corner but it actually helps him get momentum for a double knee into the corner-see, actual makes sense silly move = quality wrestler. Walking powerbomb and neck breaker dive off the top by Anderson. Big gun stun off the top. Anderson tries another cos he's a heel and the first one worked so why not? Failed and ate a Bomaye off the top for a near fall. Anderson showed some of his talent at an intriguing finish sequence - some say he's the new Del Wilke's Patriot of AJPW glory for long finished...ok, I made that bit up, but he's damn good at a drawn out sequence. Nakamura hit another Bomaye for a 2.8 count, took another Gun Stun for a bit of an upset (if you watch from a fun standpoint and not Meltzer over think of ramifications type deal). Good. **1/2

    Anderson cut a half Japanese promo afterwards. And did the old Inoki "Ichi ni san!" dealio.

    The split shows aspect has been a failure so far. Gone are the epic 9 match shows of last year which made it the greatest tournament of all time.

    I think the best way to watch these might be to combine 2 days of G1 matches into one session?
  12. Today's Weekly Gong reported that recently PRIDE won in a lawsuit against an American video company "RF Video" who illegally produced and sold PRIDE pirate videotapes. The court judged the president Robert Feinstein to pay PRIDE compensation for damage of ten million dollars within five years divided two million dollars per year. It is said that PRIDE has had huge amount of deficit for past few years and this compensation can be recouped these deficit for the organizationcredit - Puroresu.com

    Ha! :p:p . Serves the cunt right. Now he'll taste a bit of what he sent that guy through. On a serious note, RF must be close to topping himself right now. Losing his 2 companys, his repuation and 10 million dollars, All in the space of one week. :p
    I think this story is a year+ old and that in the end he had to pay a small fraction of that?
  13. If you've followed tape trading in the US for a few years you'd know not to believe a single word that comes out of those fucks mouths. It's all lies.If you're worried about missing ROH style, why not just watch the old Japanese tapes that they copy nearly all their matches from? Michinoku Pro from almost ten years ago would be about right.

  14. There's a cracker born every minute.

    About the webmaster:My name is Sean Edmunds. I do not know Rob Feinstein, nor have I ever talked to him. But I was appalled by what I read. I was appalled by Perverted Justice's website. The fact they posted his work phone number, his home phone number, his profession, his AOL instant messenger name, and that they are accusing him of being a pedophile. All this, with no concrete evidence.I am a 20 year old political science major from Massachusetts. I can be reached at secandido@comcast.net ... This website was quickly thrown together as soon as I found out about this travesty, and it will be improved as time passes. This cannot continue to happen. We cannot let Rob Feinstein take the fall for something that he may not have even done. All the evidence points to his innocence, and we're hoping that with your help we can put enough pressure on to Perverted Justice to improve the reliability of their website. Also, we want to clear Rob Feinstein's name of this horrible wrong doing and help him get any fiscal damages he rightfull deserves.
