  1. That Chikara video was awesome, can someone put up some more funny wrestling videos like that, Kikaturo when he went to ROH did some slow motion sequences that had me in stitches.

    - Somebody hit the pause button!

    - Sprinkles!!!

    - Chuck Taylor scares little kids.

That pause button schtick cracked me up. I know alot of people don't like the daft skits with the grenades and what not but wrestling's meant to be about fun and I think they are if taken it in the right way.

Chikara's really coming into it's own lately with the 123 Kid comeback and the KIT show. It seems to be reaching a wider audience amongst wrestling fans.

  2. And here is the Anti-Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3fKZwv7O08

What a fucking whining girl. Zack takes his shitty hand with great humour, and tries to get himself over online and is succeeding by the looks of things, but this is whiny shit. It's become obvious why they were split.

I always liked Hawkins' tweets but I don't like anyone acting like there better than anyone on the card, especially Khali. I'm suprised image consious WWE doesnt just sack them for these vids, it's not like there on TV anyway.

As all these lads came through together in Long Island, New York, I'm hoping Trent Barreta starts a weekly show. I think he's got the charisma to make some good webisodes.

  3. Whats everyones thoughts on this lad? Remember Foley putting him over on his myspace saying despite been skinny, he had the charisma to get over in WWE (who had recently signed him) He knocks about in the same circle as Teddy Hart, Tyson Kidd and DH Smith. Seems to have good showmanship by the vid.

  4. It's been hyped really well. There face-off on Ringside was sensational. Remember when Hayemaker had there deal with Setanta and Groves would go on and run his mouth about beating Degale in the ABAs. Degale's been almost Mayweather-esque in his last two outings i.e. the way he picks his shots off and defends himself by tucking in his shoulder.

Still think Groves will shock the world though. Even David Haye agrees -

We had a welcome visitor to training camp this week, as Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves arrived in Miami to begin preparation ahead of his own upcoming title fight.

George has been a training partner of mine for a number of years now and it's great to have him out here in Miami. They say success breeds success and, if that's the case, it can only be a positive thing to have the pair of us working in tandem.

As you will probably know by now, George is set to face his big rival James DeGale on May 21st at the O2 Arena in London. Up for grabs that night will be the British and Commonwealth titles. It's a massive domestic showdown for the pair of them, and brings to mind my own fight with Enzo Maccarinelli in 2008.

I know what it feels like to engage in that kind of grudge match and I know how it feels to fight on another promoter's show. I boxed on a Frank Warren show the night I defeated Maccarinelli in two rounds, so I've been there and done exactly what George will look to do on May 21st.

I just hope he can tap into that experience out here in Miami and use anything I can offer to his benefit. George is a level-headed guy and is very mature for his age, so I've got no doubt he'll have his head screwed on and will be in frightening shape by the time fight night arrives.

While my fight with Maccarinelli three years ago had a certain edge to it, nothing can compare to what has gone on between George and James. They have both known each other since they were little kids and they've never really seen eye-to-eye. This was evident last week at their press conference to announce the fight, as both guys took turns to slag the other one off.

The whole scene was a boxing fan's wet dream and I can imagine it won't be too difficult to shift tickets for the event now. Everybody loves a grudge match and they don't get much more authentic than this.

It goes without saying, the victor in May will be the guy that can best keep his head and emotions in check. We'll be working on keeping George as cold and clinical as possible over these next few weeks and we feel we have the tools at our disposal to ensure he is ready to beat DeGale when it matters.

Despite what DeGale says, there is no way he will be better prepared than George on the night of the fight. He won't have the sparring, training, advice or facilities that George will experience in the coming weeks. George will be working alongside genuine world-class fighters and will be sparring world-class fighters on a daily basis.

DeGale can talk all he wants, but he's not testing himself the way George is in the gym and he's not mixing with world champions the way George is.

Nobody blows smoke up George's arse and he's never been wrapped in cotton wool. He's had to learn the hard way, and he's a better fighter for it. He knows Miami won't be a holiday, and he wouldn't want it any other way.

    Until next time...

    David Haye

    AKA 'The Hayemaker'

    Also, check out his padwork:

  5. Ben Smith and Oli Thompson had a decent little tear-up on the last UCMMA show - nothing better rthan two big, daft bodybuilders just swinging with pissed cockneys baying for blood all round the cage. In fact the whole card was decent. All fights finished in the 1st rnd (barring the main event).

  6. It's a strange time for Hayemaker Promotions. Can't see Haye doing anything against either Klitschko. British fighters get talked up and pad there records with nobodies, I think this is what Haye has done, much like Amir Khan, and he has a very real chance of being found out against Wlad. At the same time George Groves is a massive underdog against the mega impressive Degale. I personally feel Groves will cause an upset in this one. In two fights everything Adam Booth's (to me one of the best boxing coaches on the planet) worked toward could come crumbling around him.

  7. Foley was awesome back in the day. What I liked about him was that he wasnt on the team or a member of a gang. He was Cactus Jack, or better known ... as
    .

That's a beautiful piece of music. Sounds like something ZZ Top would have done after their early blues years and were trying to get more commercial. Quality.

  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnBMV3Hs5fM

Anyone remember MI Smooth? I regularly wonder if MI was a dream. He'd just drive people to the arena in a limo, get out, win a match, then drive the real superstars home. Class! He also had a 'smooth' Santana guitar solo for his entrance theme.

David Otunga on US reality show "I Love New York 2" before he was 'famous'. The two dickheads quizzing him were in the previous series to win. Otunga would've murdered the daft shite kicking off.

CM Punk on his high horse about being straight edge. Seriously though, he explains it well and I like what he says about PMA. FAITH!

  9. Seems to me this new editor means business. It's good to see the new man at the helm recognizes the mistakes the magazines made in the past and is attempting to recify them. To come on here and not react like Staniforth to some of the comments is a brilliant start.

I remember I asked to write for FSM under Denton and got this really, patronising, long winded, condisending e-mail off him saying why I couldn't write for him. It made me come to the conclusion he was a greasy haired, little tosser with delusions of granduer that he was Mr Big Shot at a magazine nobody buys nor likes.

  10. Although it's still streets ahead of FSM, Powerslam seems preoccupied with settling scores with people in wrestling whose pissed them off whilst it's not big enough for those on the receiving end to give a toss. Foley's a regular target and it would seem WWE have angered them for not allowing them to interview talent (they used a recent Kurt Angle interview conducted by Fighting Fit magazine and I remember they once used an interview by MVP when he was promoting something for Sugar Puffs)

They also think they know best regarding what a wrestler should be doing with there career.

  11.

    Lesnar destroying Funaki.

That actually looks dangerous. One of the first times he scoops him up he just kind of lets him drop, then rams him into the turnbuckle and the back of his fucking head hits the pad at full force. Mental.

It is insane. At one point he just grabs his legs and pulls him across the ring. I was impressed by the belly to belly. How we all miss Brock Lesnar!

I miss Funaki. He knew how to get squashed properly.

Lesnar was a pleasure to watch around this time. All his matches where this intense and made you wonder if he was actually shooting. A huge highlight of what was a great Smackdown show at that time.

Not to sound like that nutjob off here a few months back but Les Kellett really was the fucking man. All his spots were so original (especially for that time) and laugh out loud funny. Me and the old man sat for a good while the other night guffawing at all these vids. Look out for a great match with

Leon Arris (who played the PE teacher in Kes), the two bounce off each other so well. You can tell he was a hard bastard too beacuse some of the sly punches he throws look devastating.

  12. Superstars for me. The few I've seen sticks to keeping things simple and kicks off (and concludes) little mini fueds during the hour. The wrestlers it uses generally have something to prove too, which makes for a better match. I imagine ECW is very similar but weve never seen it over here. Also enjoyed ROH on HDNet which, for me, has came on leaps and bounds under Adam Pearce.

  13. Here he is wrestling (and refusing to bump) in a drenched ring, outdoor while two (three as the match reaches it's climax) kids watch on in bemusement. Funny and tragic at the same time.

DWB and Big Rob have to walk across from the other side of the car park to get to the ring

Wow..wonder what could have caused the lack of crowd?

*edit* well, after watching the match, even if it would have started with 1000s of fans, it would have ended with the pitiful amount of spectators we see in the vid.

You hear some bloke telling all the workers to be careful and the rings in shite condition. Why should Rob be risking his TNA contract by chucking himself about a piss soaked ring with these three stooges. I love watching these independent matches with Big Rob as he looks like he could legit murder any of his skinny opponents.

  14. In a vain attempt to soften the hated toward Rob Terry on here, here's some videos of him.

Pre wrestling when he competed and won in Musclemania 2006 despite dwarfing the little bloke he still comes across as humble, funny and charismatic. This video is NOT homoerotic...
