  1. I wanted to post this, purely due to how suprised I was:I heard something this morning, on the train, which upset me. There was a group of blokes talking, and I heard one comment "Do(ing) a Chris Benoit", which was followed by some sort of choking action. That was something I never expected to hear, and frankly a little disappointed to hear that.

  2. From 1wrestling.com:

MORE DETAILS ON DEATH OF CHRIS BENOIT & familyBy: Bob Ryder6/25/2007 6:36:57 PM Details remain very sketchy regarding the tragic news today that Chris Benoit and his family were found dead at their Atlanta area home.Benoit had been scheduled to appear on a WWE house show on Saturday. Sources tell us Benoit called to first say he would be taking a later flight, and then to say he would not be attending the house show due to a family illness. According to one source, Benoit said both his wife and son were throwing up blood and he needed to stay to take care of them.At last night's Vengeance pay-per-view, Benoit was replaced in his match by Johnny Nitro. No other details are available at this time and police are on the scene at the Benoit residence investigating.

  3. Not sure if its been posted but....

Must be some of the earliest wrestling footage in existance. Apparantly from January 30th 1920. The match took place at Madison Square Garden, NY.Grainy as hell, but rather fascinating.
I'm suprised Vince doesn't own this yet.
  4. Upside down surfboard - you know, when the person doing the move is on ther back and is holding their opponent in the air by all four extremities.Words fail on how much it irritates me when a referee starts counting down the shoulders of the man doing the move.

Do you know, I thought I was the only one that got pissed off by that. In what sense is that a cover?
Well, their shoulders are down, and their opponent's on top of them.

Is it possible to bridge someone down into a pin from a Mex Surfboard without the hold falling apart?

IIRC, yes it can, although the wrestler going for the pin may have to be on the back of their head. I think it was done in a RVD vs. Jerry Lynn ECW match.
  5. What's the Rita Romero Special?

    So, it's a Mexican Surfboard?
