I'm writing to see if anyone here was in attendance at this show in London's York Hall on Friday 7th December 2018? Or, anyone who attended any of the dates from that tour?
I went purely as a then-fan of the Conrad Thompson & Bruce Prichard "Something to Wrestle with" podcast. I was even stupid enough to have paid a premium for a VIP ticket that promised ho's, pizza and an audience with Charles Wright and, well, I met Charles Wright. The other VIPs and myself were dragged onstage at some point during the show to the crowd's utter contempt, encouraged to dance, wondered if this was when the ho's appeared, then after what felt like 3 years, we sloped offstage awkwardly. Cody Rhodes was billed but injured. Brandi wrestled. I really didn't know who anyone else was, sorry. The acoustics of the building also meant that the Q&A was indecipherable from the wonderful VIP seats in the balcony at the rear of the hall. There was some kind of after-party at a nearby backstreet dive bar which Charles Wright also attended, this time as Papa Shango. I gave my pink pimp hat to a lovely older fan in attendance and pretty much forgot this night ever happened until recently. I had dressed up in a pink suit and had tried to look extra pimpish, and all for nought.
Just wondered if anyone else has any memories of this event or that company? I apologise that I haven't paid any attention to wrestling in the interim other than listening to Jim Cornette. I gather Fight Forever Wrestling didn't stick around very long?
