Brought UFC 2 from the Xbox store for a measly tenner and I'm not sure what to make of it. I put hundreds of hours into UFC Undisputed 3 and I'm struggling to adapt to the new system. Throwing strikes doesn't feel satisfying and I can't see to get the hang of takedowns.

It's quite a bad game all round. They could of gone down two routes which would of made a lot of fans happy, I would of lovely to see EAMMA but under a UFC banner, or take what THQ built on and take it to the next level. but EA went with a new system which is just awful, the controls are very clunky the speed of how everything is done is way too fast. The ground controls are just bad the career is very plain and boring lacks any imagination or new ideas, it actually is worse than EA UFC 1 due to the sponsors being taken out. Hopefully is they do UFC 3 they start from scratch again and brought what made UFC undistputed or EAMMA good and build on that.

I've no idea what the DLC is outside of 2 or 3 fighters. The game is rammed with costume content and the roster is just shy if 40, but is missing pretty big names like Lei, Baek, Roger/Alex, Bruce, Ganryu and a load from the last game. It's the single player that's bare. A story which is 80% playing as Heihachi and is about an hour long, no proper arcade mode for each character, instead a 1 fight story arc per character. Offline vs is missing Team Battle too and you can do tournaments online but not offline. Online ranked doesn't work, never connects. Some reviewers are calling it "Waiting in a Lobby Sim 2017" according to my mate.

Cheers for confirming this for me, I was considering getting Tekken 7 after the IGN review , I was hoping the series would return to its greatness such as Tekken 3 and Tag Tournament 1, personally Tekken has gone really down hill since then, turning into a really wacky ADHD driven fighting game.

    Cheers for the heads up.

Drangleic Shield is THE shield for the earlier to mid parts of the game, you could possibly use it till the end.

I probably won't be too much help with this game, I didn't like it half as much as the other two so I only played through once and I forgot a whole bunch.

Decided to put Dark Souls 2 on hold as it's not as fun more just draining especially with no decent weapon, shield or Armour so I'm stuck getting past the section after the big pit of fire once descending the ladder.

Decided to jump straight onto Dark Souls 3 instead. It's a lot faster paced compared to number. I've defeated my second boss, got into the next area where there was a giant throwing arrows at me then the boss raped me and all my 4000 souls and my ember. Luckily I have a shield that deflects all damage and a katana sword which does decent damage.

Many advice would be grand what to do or special weapons to get in advance.

  4. Finally got my hands on Dark Souls 2 and 3, I've had a little play through on both, I for the brief time I was on it Dark Souls 3 felt more like home than 2 did.

Any tips for a noob for DS2? I'm a warrior I needed a shield to start off with

  5. Just ending the walking dead series 2 since it was free on games with gold. I really enjoyed it, thought the last bit with the flashback was heart touching.

I chose the leave with K***y and then walk away from W******ton.

Felt like the right option. Can't wait until series 3 is free on Xbox Live

I was chatting to a friend the other day about old school games and it made my day to think of the games i used to cherish so much. To name a few:

    Runescape!
    Discworld 1 & 2
    Krusty's Super Fun House
    Destruction Derby 1 & 2
    Tomba!
    Cannon Fodder
    Worms Armageddon
    Parappa The Rapper

Mannnn these games were great! I get a good feeling when thinking of memories playing these games

I love Descrruction Derby 1 & 2. Its one of my most beloved games, I wish they would remake this in HD, flat out is good and I've preordered wreckfest but it doesn't hit the same spot

Parry, it's high risk but parrying is the best tool against him. A shield with good fire defense if you feel you need to block and a quickish weapon.

Cheers for the parry advice, I defeated Gywn on the 4th attempt. I tried using a fire shield to block several of his attacks but it didn't succeed. So despite not parrying throughout the entire game gwyn wasn't too bad.

    Now on NG+ Any advice?

The DLC is very much worth it.

I've ordered dark souls 2 for the Xbox one. £11 so not a bad deal.

Sadly I've got stuck again on Dark Souls Gwen has kicked my arse twice now. He doesn't like the Estus flask being used does he. So going into this fight I'm more about melee. No experience with magic at all, a tiny bit of priomancy overtime and used the Heal Miracles a lot.

so in my arsenal crap loads of Armour. I have the mask of a child for Stamia reboots.

I have the Gravelord Sword and the Crystal halberd but it's on its last legs and my trusty Quelaag Fury Sword.

    Any ideas?

From what I've read it's hard as hell.

ive got to the bed of chaos but I can't get past the final part, it always catches me with a sweep or slam just before I jump

Luckily I defeated but got caught with a firestorm attack whilst inside the bed of chaos but it didn't kill me luckily.

so now I've progressed to the 4 kings where I got destroyed. I didn't have the correct ring on at first which went well so I died entering the abyss. Then I died facing the twice, I used the Gravelord sword instead of my fury sword, nor do I have the grass while which makes life fun (since I actidentally sold it to the giant lochness thingy at firelink shine).

so the 4 kings and then Niro to go then the final boss. For a game that infuriates me it's game good fun and keeps me coming back.

But..but she's innocent. I killed her on one playthrough and felt like shit after because she's only there in that painting due to racism.

I just wanted a challenge, is the DLC worth it or should I jump straight onto Dark Souls 2

"Her" It's an interesting bit of lore, they were forced to live as a female due to their affinity to the moon.

also, you killed Priscilla you bastard.

Most of the guides killed her plus it's much easier running around that place now without the sheer amount of enemies

  13. Well I've got further into dark souls now. I've defeated seath the scaleless defeated on the first try :), then took on the fire demon died a lot but once I Decided to use my crystal halibut (what it's called) and used the electric charge to the right hand weapon he died easily. Then took on the centepeade, somehow I defeated this the first time too.

I cant defeat the boss in the endless corridor though shes mighty quick

    Slightly inaccurate.

If you kill Ornstein first, you'll then have to battle giant Smough who will leave behind a unique drop.

If you kill Smough first, you'll then have to battle giant Ornstein, which is much much harder, but also has a different unique drop.

You'll have to do it both ways if you're going for trophies/achievements, if that's the case kill Smough first because giant Ornstein in NG+ is one of the toughest encounters across all souls games. If trophies aren't your thing, take the "easy" way out and kill Ornstein first.

Well had a good play on it last night, I got the quelaag fury sword, I defeated obstein and smough though it took ages took out obstein first, killed pracilla in the painting (did that first try but didn't get the tail weapon), defeated Siff on my first try too with the +4 gravelord sword.

i also killed the big boob lady so everything went dark.

I also put a giant chalice on the fire link altar.

So now where does one go now?

    Now I'm a bit lost

I was in the main hal just before you fight obstruction and smough, the black orb was wanting me to use it to invade a world where the fire keeper was killed. I killed the gold knight and got a fire keepers spirit which I used to restore the person at the fire link shrine.

so now off to fight obstein and smough. I've seen afterwards there is a large women that some people kill to unveil a dark world is this wise to kill the large breasted woman after she's given me teleportation to bonfire to bonfire

Would it wise to go into the painting world before facing obstein and Dmoygh as I cant beat the gits at the moment, I have no humanity to summon help either

A Gravelord Servant had summoned you into their world, it's one of the games PvP mechanics. They can also infect worlds with extra enemies but I very rarely see that happen,

Interesting sword, I've not used it as I didn't like the stat scaling but I wonder how the Toxic will work on bosses.

I heard about its toxic ability could do with a faster weapon but just as powerful guess I'm not going to find one. I got a message about invading a world just before going to the boss using the dark eye?

Discharge can be beat without hitting it, wake him up then leg it as fast as you can back down the hill and he'll knock himself into the lava..

Sif the Wolf will be much tougher, it's probably best to wear light armour (keep equipment weight at under 25%) so you quick roll and learn to roll away from it's moves.

Cheers for the heads up. I'm just at the bottom of this church and I got a brief intro to the two golden boys I've heard so much about. I've got the gravelord sword at plus 3 so it's doing some major damage.

I offer you my condolences, not too far into the future you're gonna experience true torture.

But before that look for a giant painting which I think is under those rafters and touch it, there's a sweet optional area there.

I've had a little look into my future and I've seen the picture it looks mind bending.

what do I do with the bosses I've missed like the Discharge fire boss that kills me with one swoop and that giant wolf with the sword?

    Any tips for a noob?

Don't stick with the Drake Sword for too long, it becomes useless as it won't scale with your stats and personally I would recommend not relying on it at all. What stats are you going for btw? Mainly strength or dexterity? I'm guessing you're not a magic user.

Oh and put some souls in to upgrading a Pyromancy Flame when you get the chance, it doesn't need any certain stats like other magic (it says it needs INT but that's a lie), just upgrades. It's a great tool as lots of enemies are weak to fire and you can use many of the spells from a distance away.

I've ditched the drake sword in favour of that sword from the catacombs in the giants tomb and upgraded my strength so I can use it one handed.

Stats I'm kind of all round, working on strength, dex, life bar and stamina. I have two spell slots though more would be handy.

Ive just defeated the iron golem after several failed attempted after being knocked off the roof time and time again I'm now in a fancy over large church style place running along the rafters but I keep falling off.

I'm in need of some light strong armour and a decent shield. I suck at parrying though.

ive played hard games before but this is something else and it's really fun, I've rage quit a few times but it's really addictive.

  21. I've just started on Dark Souls for the first time on the Xbox one (backwards compatability). Any tips for noobs. I just defeated the alligator caked In teeth in the sewers. I have the Drake sword from chopping off the dragons tail.

    Enjoying it so far...
