Got Cuphead for Christmas. It's as hard as everyone says, but I can't stop playing it. Beautiful looking game too.

I’ve had it since release, I can’t complete it, very frustrating but a damn good game.

This is coming from a Dark Souls and Nioh fan.

Fuck 'em indeed, they've closed down a great developer recently and have taken the game they had and are turning it into a Destiny clone by all accounts.

I played some of the UFC beta and yeah.. you can just leg kick the AI till their leg breaks.

I don’t think they have it in them to develop a good boxing game anymore

Didn't an absolute shit ton of value get wiped off their share price after the Battlefront debacle?

I for one would enjoy EAs downfall. Fuck them and their crappy practices.

Personally since EA took the UFC brand it’s been awful. Despite being able to Virtually punch Conor and Ronda in the face there hasn’t been anything good to say.

They took everything they built with EAMMA, and Fight Night did, smear it with shit.

now with Microtransactions being a key factor this might be the break up between EA and the UFC saying that both are based on pure greed.

Have you tried Lords Of The Fallen? That's one of the "Soulsborne" style games. I hear Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is along those lines as well.

I heard about Hellblade I’m just waiting for it to go on sale and I’ll jump all over it. Same with Nioh. Really hoping the rumours are true about a Daemons Souls HD remake coming too as I don’t have a ps3 and I can’t ready Japanese to get it from the Japanese store.

I tried lords of the fallen, it was very childish compared to “Soulsborne”.

I really do struggle to replay these games on new game plus though. It doesn’t have the same feel to it once I’ve completed it, I get 2 hours in and get bored. So I’ve never completed a Soulsborne game on new game plus.

  5. Got uncharted 4, played the other 3. Must say 2 chapters in it’s quite a lot of fun. Very linear but really well put together. Though sadly whoops Tomb Raider in terms of the wow factor and fun factor.

Hopefully I’ll get crash bandicoot tomorrow it’s £20 at my local cash generator got a few games to trade in.

  6. Bit at a lost end now. Completed the Dark Souls 1-3 and Bloodborne. Kind at a lost place what to do in terms of gaming. Tried the Serge is just stank, Salt and Sanctuary didn’t hit the spot and FFXV bores me. Anyone tried Wolfenstein II or The Crash N-Sane Trilogy? Uncharted 4 is a must too right? Just some fun souls be nice after all that “hardcore” gaming.

  7. Has anyone seen the gameplay trailer for Sonic Forces, it seems Sega still doesn’t understand their audience. Sonic Mania was praised as it’s what Sonic Fans wanted, Sonic Force is everything fans don’t want, seems like another Sonic Hero’s game so far.

    Crying shame

  8. Seems more and more releases are coming for the PS4 while the Xbox One is being left behind. I've been a Xbox memeber for about 8 years racked up 115k gamerscore, but minus FF XV and my EA Access I'm starting to loose passion for it.

whilst on the other side is fire pro, crash bandicoot, uncharted, and Bloodbourne.

No idea what platform cuphead is coming out for

  9. Any tried battlefield1's single player (not a fan of online)?

I don't think the last zone of sonic mania is BAD is just difficult and meant to make you think and instead of guns blazing, it was the same with sonic 1 where the last level was a water maze taking all speed away, the same with sonic 2 you couldn't rush it otherwise you'd fall to your death, sonic 3 and knuckle on the death egg was all about speed though as it was a giant level and I nearly always ran out of time even as super sonic.

it isn't too hard to 1000g that game, though the bonus stages are enough to tear your hair out if your going for the achievement. Sets should get behind these kids more as this is what Sonic is about. It took some outsiders to make a good sonic games the which we haven't seen since possibly the mega drive or dreamcast era.

I'm doing a Tails solo run next, I've heard he's pretty much easy mode and good for exploration. I just wish there wasn't a time limit in levels so huge.

Yeah, I love that I can plug in any old earphones, I use Youtube on the PS4 for ASMR videos to help me sleep and it makes it that much more convenient.

Finally completed sonic mania, just achievement hunting now, did anyone find special stage 5 harder than the other ones. I managed to complete 6 and 7 on Mach Level 2 instead of 3. Now just achievement hunting and getting those bonus stages completed boy some are really difficult compared to sonic 3 and knuckles.  Seems to be once I've completed one with a gold medal it doesn't appear again.

Also non of the achievements pop up on Debug mode it seems.

Great game helping break things up from doing the DLC on Dark Souls 2.

speaking of which this did seem the most challenging out of the series.

They are. Knuckles gets a different Mirage Saloon 1 and an extra boss, as i've been told. Only finished as Sonic so far.

I'm on the 4th zone I've got 4 emerald and the 5th Special stage is quite hard, I'm finding the bonus stages to be a lot harder than Sonic 3 and Knuckles

It's a lovely little game, you can tell Christian Whitehead has poured his heart into it. Just make sure to spend a little time in each level on your first playthrough, even the classic ones have been massively reworked with multiple routes.

Is it me or the Xbox one edition struggle with the frame rate, also my copy on the bonus stages will flick right instead of left on some occasions.  Only tried it once so might be a case of turning it off and on again.

finally completed dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin. Using a melee/hex build makes things easier but the hardest one of the three I found. Minus all DLC.

  13. Has any anyone tried Sonic Mania I'm really tempted to buy it but I don't have ÂŁ16 to spare.

Ive heard nothing but positive reviews, a game made fans for fans and much better than everything Sonic has done since the 16 bit era with the slightest glimmer of light in the very odd game since the 16 bit era.

You've reminded me that I haven't played that DLC yet.. And I'm not sure I have a character at a suitable level.

It's personally hard as hell, Sister Feedie is hard as hell on the Ashes DLC and Ringed City, the final boss and secret Boss is meant to be the hardest of the Dark Soul Series.
