WWE's fifth brand gets properly underway in ten minutes on the Network. I'm very curious to see how it pans out. Without looking up how the tapings were received, I'm thinking the crowds and unique-for-WWE venues could help set it apart.

15 years ago today was one FWA's best ever matches: Doug Williams & Jody Fleisch vs. Christopher Daniels & Jonny Storm. It was the all-star tag team main event in the Horwich Leisure Centre near Bolton. Night 2 of the Northern Exposure Tour (of which I attended all 3 nights!). Great show, and a fantastic main event.Ā
Really memorable weekend, actually, going across the north of England following the wrestling (Morecambe the night before, Cleethorpes the night after, including surprise bonus American Dragon!). I can't believe it's a decade-and-a-half ago!!
I *think* that was my first live wrestling show, thinking about it? You and your bloody airhorn. A new Horwich Leisure Centre has been built next to the old one, which is soon to be demolished.

As if it wasnāt bad enough not showing last nights show live, Triple H is now posting spoilers on Twitter like a daft old grandad.
Ughhh, it's gonna be a long week. Thanks for the heads-up though.
I'm definitely gonna go to the Liverpool tapings, it should be interesting as it's a theatre-style room. And there should be well established characters and storylines by then, it's fasinating to think how those shows will look by then.
Are there going to be UK-based "PPVs" for the Network, or are they gonna tag on UK matches onto Takeovers? IĀ like the idea of one supershow a year, maybe the night before Mania, as the one time NXT UK has matches over there, possibly with an NXT US vs NXT UK gimmick. -
Please let Dream stay in NXT until the main roster scene drastically changes. I have ZERO. ZERO confidence in the creative department of the main shows to do anything with any of the top class wrestlers they have at their disposal. And to think how they could waste Velveteen Dream makes me sick. I'm being dramatic I know, but WWE could be so much more than it is, and it's just sad that it isn't.
But on the plus side, drink in what The Dream is offering in NXT, for as long as it's on tap. Wonderful. -
Speaking of Pete Dunne, can we please ensureĀ this is a NO SPOILER ZONE for tonight's and tomorrow's Albert Hall tapings please? I'm really looking forward to watching this next week. Thanks in advance.

Didn't it come from Johnny Manziel being called "Johnny Football"?
Aye, Johnny Hockey as well, the Calgary Flames' Johnny Gaudreau.

Pete Dunne is good value on Twitter.
Carries himself with the kind of attitude you'd hope!

Reading a book about Russian history at the moment, and came across this nickname for one of the tsars. Had one of those āyou know youāve watched too much wrestling when...ā moments because my main thought was āāThe Abomination of Desolationā would be a cracking nickname for Lars Sullivan or someoneā. I even heard that sentence of the book in Mauro Ranalloās voice.
They could even re-use Faarooq and Kama Mustafa's old theme music for the gimmick.
-
For some reason, it crossed my mind that I think Coheed & Cambria could do a cracking version of Shinsuke Nakamura's theme song. Claudio doing a vocal alongside the violin melody and that.
But I know that for many it would be sacrilege to mess with what he has now. So what we clearly needĀ is another Forceable Entry/Reckless Intent!
Ā
Then he could just use it for six weeks then bin it off, like that weird one Big Show had that started with some plinky piano.
What are some of your favourite C-tier bands that could do alt themes for current superstars?

Could Wrestlemania be spun out into a 2 night event in future?

As a rule, no. They've got loads of cameras shooting different angles. But that day, something must have kept going wrong because it went on forever. I couldn't bring myself to watch it on TV so I don't know how much was used.
They repeated the finishĀ of the Raw main event twice at oneĀ U.K. Taping as well because the wrestlers kept fucking it up.
It's often hilariously hokey when you're in attendance to see it happen too.
If someone got attacked, they'll return to the ring and claim they want immediate revenge or something similar, and just get beat down all over again.
"I ain't done with you, YET, Snitsky!" etc etc

It's a hot spot for big shows not just wrestling. That's why a lot of TV shows are filmed there. It's the tourists that attend a lot of shows there.
-
Can see them calling it the Network Championship.

Oh god, Paramount text.

That made me remember it reappeared online, last update, Christmas 2014!!

Recently found out Xavier Woods has started his own gaming channel on Youstube, independently of WWE's stuff. It is called UpUpDownDown and it is here
Ā
He goes by the name Austin Creed on it, and often plays games with other WWE folk, who also use other names. Lots of fun as you might expect with Xavier Woods, but also get an interesting look into some of the others' personalities. Well worth checking out, here's one to get started with:

There's a theme Triple H used only once or twice between My Time and The Game.
Ā
It's a bit of a stopgap between the two actually, try singing Motorhead's words to this one.
Ā
Ā
There's a similar thing with The Rock's themes, you can trace the evolution of his music all the way from the Nation Of Domination theme.

Oooh, Adrian Neville corkscrew shooting star press, good golly.

Regal: "Those Swiss are such legendary tossers"
JR: "You've described Cesaro as a catcher, and now a tosser"
Regal: "Hahahahaha! Yes!"

An anonymous indy promoter has done a Q&A on here

Interesting stuff, including an assertion that Colt Cabana is on his way back to WWE.

I've just seen Sky Sports News' report. They said something like "Only back in April, Benoit told of the hardship and sacrifices involved in wrestling" and showed part of an interview with him (along with his appearance at Sky Sports studios), clearly alluding that this was linked with what has happened. The rest was what has already reported from other sources.

What?!...I feel ill.

And his family?!?!I hope this is some stupid storyline. ffs
