  1. Ive finally come to a decision on what Im wearing to the Hall of Fame dinner, even though many have said that they will be going for normal suits and ties me and My mate Louis are going for black suits, black bow ties, the occasion blatently warrants that and Im not too bothered if we are the only two people in there with bow ties on, we'll still look like a million dollars!!! 3 weeks to go - Oh my god!!!!!

  2. Got a year long travel insurance last year for WrestleMania, so it would cover my Kavos trip as well,

WrestleMania + Kavos - you have excellent taste in holiday destinations. Ah 2002: Hogan vs Rock in March followed by Foam Party's in Kavos (with two of the Club 18-30 reps that got on the front page of the Daily Sport for giving holidaymakers oral pleasure in public, among others) in August. :D
I like to think so, it was in Falaraki that i first got the idea of going to WrestleMania, after WM18 some guy there was talking about how he went, whilst we were watching KOTR on a Big TV out there, and it made me realise it was do-able, so the next year I did it!
Did Kavos last year, it was fucking fantastic!! I was in the resort when the aforementioned incident with the club reps took place, sadly for me and my mates we were not on the beach that day - dammit!Went to Falaraki back in 2000, am planning on going to Magaluf this summer. From Kavos this year I was hunting around at 3AM off my face begging various barmen to purchase Vengeance on pay per view but no one would do it! I offered some bloke 80 euros to buy it and he still didn't, silly bugger! Anyway I saw most of the US title match and then the feed cut out and I trapsed back off to my appartment feeling thoroughly pissed off!
  3. I'm not going with the tux. Wearing a normal suit with either a bow-tie or long tie (I'm taking both, just in case) will definitely look smart. But wearing a tuxedo to find everyone else in normal suits would make you look over-dressed.

Ive emailed WWE WrestleMania travel packages asking for a more specific dress code, hopefully they'll come back to me and clear up the matter.I really want to wear a tux but dont want to be the only person wearing one!
  4. Have put this on the main forum, but thought I'd add it in here. What are the people who are going to the Hall of fame reception planning on wearing?I think Vince and Co will be wearing Tuxedo's, but Im not sure whether to wear one myself or to just wear a suit with a tie.Tuexedo's would look pretty damn pimp I think, and for such a historic event I feel like I should make the effort. What does everyone else think?

  5. The hotel does look pretty damn sweet, the rooms look good, it has a gym, its in a pretty decent location, only thing missing really is a swimming pool! Im going to be in there for the whole week apart from one night in Boston so Im pretty pleased its so good.As for it being 15 minutes away from Madison Square Garden, I think thats pretty much the maximum amount of time it will take for the fat bloaters among us to walk it. From my jaded memory of my last & only New York trip I would have thought it was 5-10 minutes tops.4 weeks to go!!!

  6. It said 'Times Square Area' hotel which I took as meaning that it will be within 5 mins or so of Times square by foot. The Hilton rumour stems from the fact that the Hall of Fame reception and the Bagels Brunch thing are both there. It would be nice if we were staying in that hotel as we wouldn't have to concern ourselves with travel to and from the events on the days.

  7. Palace, West Ham!?!? Not exactly WrestleMania related now is it!??!? tut tut!!Just joking, I will be missing my beloved Fulham play at home to Leeds, I'll also be far too knackered to attend the big West London derby against Chelsea the following Saturday having only landed that morning.

  8. New York is more expensive than any other place Ive been to in the states though.Im not going to have all that much time for shopping with my loaded itinerary anyway :Friday afternoon - arrive and register Saturday lunchtime - autograph sessionSaturday evening - Hall of fame receptionSunday morning - Bagels and Biceps BrunchSunday afternoon - MSG tourSunday evening - WrestleMania XXMonday night - Raw in New JerseyTuesday morning - Fly to BostonTuesday night - SmackdownWednesday morning - Fly back to New YorkThursday morning - tickets to tapings of the Maury Povich show!!!!Friday afternoon - Fly back to London Saturday morning - arrive back home thoroughly depressed that the holiday i'd been looking forward to for about a year is now over! :( I bet everyone's dead jealous of my Maury tickets!!!! :D

  9. I assume we are all set to miss the last Raw before WM? Anybody got any plans for that?? At least we will be in town for SmackDown!

If your lucky you'll be able to catch the syndicated shows over the weekend at some point on Spike TV - that is of course assuming that the hotel actually carries Spike TV. On my only other previous trip to New York my hotel didn't carry Spike TV (then TNN) and nor did the W hotel in Seattle (which was the main travel package hotel for XIX).This was a far cry from Toronto where on TSN there was a weekend long build up to WrestleMania which was superb.
  10. I had the same problem in Seattle. Before going me and a mate both thought we would be able to fit the chairs into our suitcases, when it came time to actually do it they was absolutly no chance of getting them in. We bought some cheap sticky tape and taped them together and checked them in with our suitcases. British Airways made me sign a waiver to say that we wouldn't hold them responsible for any damage caused to them.Fortunately they survived the trip back on the plane and a hideous journey on London Underground and Connex South Central. This year Im planning on taking bubble wrap and sticky tape in advance, just wondering whether the authorities at the airport will be ok with me having stuff of that nature in my suitcase. Obviously Im not exactly going to hijack the plane with bubble wrap, but the people at the airport can be kinda funny sometimes, for example on the way back from Toronto my mate wasn't allowed to take back his walkman because it wasn't working, and I wasn't allowed to take back a wet flannel!?! Bizarre.

  11. I imagine with the platinum package you'll all be attending the Fan AXXcess weekend?

Axxess is no more this year, which I cant say im too disheartened about. In Houston I enjoyed it very much, sadly in Toronto they'd oversold the event so much that it was pretty tricky to breathe, let alone actually move around.By the time the event hit seattle it was about 5 times smaller than usual and really wasn't worth the admission money. This year the travel packers get an autograph session on the Saturday morning/afternoon, and the Bagel and Biceps Brunch on Sunday, which for the first time is also open to the general public - which is a pity!8 weeks and counting.
  12. So B&TB isnt worth seeing then? Surely a Broadway show is part of the NYC experience.

I can think of better ways of spendng $170!! For example in some sort of strip joint. To be fair to Beauty and the Beast, the show wasn't realy the problem, it was more like the company. :/ Anyway back to WrestleMania, can't actually quite believe how close we're getting now, 8 weeks tomorrow we enter the promised land!!!
  13. While you're in the states, don't forget to stand on Broadway for exactly one hour.

    Eh? ;)
As much as I like the New York song related stuff (which I thought about doing a while back myself) can we please keep this thread to information about the event! In a complete contradiction to what Ive just said, I once spent two and a half hours on broadway - watching f'n Beauty and the Beast with my c*nt of an ex girlfriend for the princely sum of $85 per ticket (which I paid for). But hey Im not bitter :(
  14. The morning of Wrestlemania XX, WWE will hold its annual Bacon, Bagels, & Biceps brunch, which for the first time will be open to the ticket buying public. The brunch, which was created back at Wrestlemania IV weekend, has traditionally been an event for fans who come to the events via the WWE travel packages. Tickets for the brunch will go on sale in early February as well.

There goes any remaining hopes of a chance of properly meeting the wrestlers.Getting an autograph (maybe) is about the size of it again by the sounds of it.
'Package people' have got a seperate autograph session on the Saturday afternoon to make up for the lack of Axxess.
  15. does anyone have any idea of where the registation site is gonna be?

If you mean the WWE Travel Package registration - it is in the hotel that we are staying in, usually in the lobby or some small room they've put aside for it.Here's how it's gone each time I've been:Maria (yeah, we're on first name terms :smug: ) who has a title like Travel Package Co-ordinator or something and colleague(s) sit at a table with a load of envelopes. Your tickets to the PPV itself, a map of the arena and any free stuff like Autograph Session tickets are in your envelope and they give you your WM-XX souvenir(s) like T-shirts then too.
What kind of ID do you need to register? You don't need the credit card you booked with or anything do you?
When I registered at the W Hotel in Seattle for XIX, I wasn't asked for any i.d at all! We'll all have our passports with us anyway, and Im sure that will suffice for any id needed.I really want tickets to that dinner!
  16. The Saturday evening event that was advertised on WWE.com is not included in the WrestleMania XX Travel Packages. Further details to this event will be posted on WWE.com by late-January.
Are they going to be selling tickets for this then I take it?I must say that is a bit of a disapointment.
