Well isn’t this just a big old sobering thread of the brutal reality of time? 🤣

For FWA Trick or Treat it worked creatively for our storyline for Corino to turn up unannounced. And fortunately ticket wise it also worked out as we didn't need to announce him. But one of the main reasons we didn't want to announce Corino in advance of that show is we had a fear (whether correctly or not) that Hammerlock would scupper his appearance. I have no idea if that would have been the case but we just didn't want to risk it.
It’s quite tickling me that in retrospect, everyone was dancing around something which no one was sure was a real thing. Carny AF. 😂

I never officially got told of exclusivity, and to this day I'll never know why I didn't drop someone a line at FWA to see if we could do something. IÂ spread out from Hammerlock (I think the first show I did outside was some horror show run by a group called HCW in Devon maybe?) with full support from Andre. I suppose it was probably a confidence thing. FWA and Hammerlock wrestlers worked the same shows (Jake/Honky/Brutus tour) with no trouble at all (around 2000Â I think?).
Â
TS is right - it was a missed opportunity for us as individuals and as a scene. FWA were ahead of their time as were Hammerlock previously, but the business grows, develops and generations push the scene one after another, which is a great thing - the status quo means it stagnates (see 2005-2010...).

@kendal mint cake always got a bit of a rough time on here, but was always pleasant with me.  Not noticed @Majik on here for a long time, excellent chap.
Heavily flattered. Still alive - still around here and posting occasionally. Older, greyer and more battered than ever

There's loads around the Warwickshire countryside, weirdly. Some still in use as phone boxes, but most of them converted into take one/leave one libraries. We do quant very well....

I thought it was Regal Umanga-ing, but I could be wrong...
Â
Thought this week was a bit run of the mill. Starting to dislike Dempsey's work too Enzo truly cuts an awesome promo though.
-
Say it quietly, but I thought Dana looked alright this week. Just a bit more comfortable. Maybe there is hope...
Â
Breeze is brilliant at everything.
Â
The main felt like a recorded dark match. I enjoyed it, but didn't feel it.
Â
I miss Corbin

Ah! Thanks GTG. Thought they were well over those tapings now.
Â
And good call Arch - Gable was superb. In and out of ring. Very impressed.

If Joe needs the right opponent and music to be entertaining, then he's already behind most the NXT roster. A failed experiment in my opinion.
Â
The tag division is the best booked section of wrestling in many years for my money - so many twists and turns, with some more on the horizon no doubt. Outstanding work.
Â
Couldn't quite work out the big emotion from the girls at the end of the main though - did I miss something?

Age limit I would say 40
I'm...I mean...just...
Â
Never mind...

Bowler, you are a fucking spang.
Gigglesome quoting. Nothing more. Move along.

Infamous amongst the beltmaker community as a cad and a scoundrel. Took many people for tens of thousands of dollars (myself included) about seven years ago. Also happy to do belt copies of Jmar, Reggie and so forth.
Â
Also fat. And ugly. Corino went round his house with one of the boys and had a word with him a few years ago due to him stiffing Corino too.

Paul Bledsoe. Filthy thief and a man that needs a good kicking for so many reasons...
-
Joe/Owens felt like a rushed match build up, but I could get over that. Really disappointing match between them though. Feel quite deflated - NXT's first fail, for me.
Â
On a lighter note, I think the rivalry between SAWFT and BMA is absolutely brilliant. I'm praying they keep the belts on BMA when they go at it for the titles and go for a gimmick on a takeover to finally hand them over.

Lightly pimping, but for those who like their rasslin', then you've got to check out the main event from our first show.Â

Jericho has got rid of the 12 year old haircut.

That's just a picture of Jon Ryan, surely?

Would be funny if Lesnar signed a top secret contract extension and retained at Mania against Reigns. Two big shock reactions on consecutive Wrestlemanias. Then Cena can win it back at Extreme Rules
Â
I've always thought it would be a brave move to do this, but take it further - have Lesnar walk out with the title off the arm bar or something. Some slight hesitation with music and colour reaction, just to pop some doubt in the mind that it wasn't planned. Cue two weeks of awkward silence and Vince eventually having to admit that Brock isn't coming back, so they've got to run a tournament. Biggest tournament in history ends about May.Whomever is about to go over in the final but is instantly mauled half to death by Lesnar, who picks up the new belt from ringside and takes that too. The hunt for someone who can beat Brock begins, with Vince having to throw money at him to sign him to a single match for the pride of WWE. Months of searching for "the one" to take on Brock ends at Summerslam.Â

I can see Sami Zayn losing that match. Because he loses every match.
Apparently there is a stipulation that if he loses the match then he will leave NXT and WWE forever. So maybe he will actually win this time.
Â
Or loses and not long after we see the debut of El Generico in a Mr America-like angle.
Â
Â
Â
That'll pop me good and proper. Especially super happy clappy Generico with the goofy facial expressions

Only people who can't spell think spelling doesn't matter. To the rest of us, it's a sign of low intelligence, or especially in the era of spellcheck, of laziness.

First round of the classic 50cc Tonfaneau championship 2014. On my way to second place on the day. Yes, I'm aware of the comical size differences going on here...
