  1. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet (spoiler for next week's Impact)

<-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler

Sting apparently said he's bringing back the Main Event Mafia to face the Aces and 8s. What are they playing at here? Steiner won't be back if him suing them is anything to go by, Booker is in WWE and Nash is pretty much a WWE guy now. Unless it's just Sting and Angle, what could they possibly do here? [close spoiler]

Jeff Jarrett, TNA original and co-founder comes back to try and save the company from the cancer that is Aces n 8's?? :sneaky:
  2. That reminds me, I really should watch the Bash at the Beach 99 Scrap yard match. I remember it being awful due to the way WCW filmed it. I remember Power Slam reporting at the time that numerous wrestlers got injured in the match and most of it was off camera.

Was that when La Parka got careless and injured Finlay, so Finlay twatted him a few times.Think i remember him saying "I saw him, so i knocked him out, he got back up so i knocked him out again"
  3. Surprised that the Rampage segment is getting praise on here. I watched it with a mate and we were pissing ourselves at his facial expressions.

I actually noticed that  He was certainly trying a bit too hard to look menacing, as if that motherfucker needs to try, he looks like he'd eat your face off. He must have been pretty nervous though about crowd response etc.It was more just the fact that it happened, him and Angle could have had a thumb war for all i cared, to see them 2 nose to nose was quite something, for me anyway, being a big fan of both.
  4. Having watched very little UFC or any MMA, Rampage just seems like a big charismatic bloke that might be good once he's had some training. That's obviously a bit of a bleeker interpretation of what TNA want people to feel about this acquisition though but having no history of watching him in UFC I don't really care. What do those of you who have watched Rampage in UFC think of this? Is it exciting?

I am genuinely quite pumped for it, but then i like Rampage, he is an emotional guy, and sometimes speaks without thinking but i always find him to speak the truth no matter who he upsets. He is a love him or hate him kinda fella i guess.Add to that the fact that he is indeed a big Pro Wrestling fan then i say good luck to him, if he can nail down the basics, and come to play with his intense power stuff, then Angle would i'm sure do the rest and the match could be something. All i hope is that he does not ONLY do MMA stuff, and we end up with one of those Angle vs Joe MMA/Wrestling matches that are designed to look like some kind of shoot, always fucking hated those with a passion, there must always be a definite line between the 2 sports in my opinion, that is why i like Brock, he does a few submissions, but he still does all his power Pro Wrestling shit, having said that i'd still love to see Brock in his Black trunks and boots 02-04 wrestling gear over this MMA gear, but hey.
  5. Tazz should have been wrote out and just merged into the Aces and 8s somehow.

Whoa whoa, please no, this is one of about 3 reasons i still watch TNA, Tazz on commentary in an Aces N 8's role.At Slammivesary he said "Hebner is 1000 years old and has rigor mortis" when he was late counting, thats the shit i need to hear that makes me laugh out loud during a poxy 6 man match.
  6. Has anybody seen that Montreal Theory that highspots have up, i streamed it on RF Video Now at the weekend, is it a new thing or what, it kind of popped up on Highspots out of nowhere. It's long as shit, over 4 hours, but just gets so boring, the same faces (most of no relevance) repeating the same shite. I found Kevin Kelly quite interesting as he was there at the time, but Tony Mamaluke, nah. What is the consensus on here, work or shoot?? For me there is no way on earth it was a work but listening to fucking Steve Corino for 5 minutes would have you convinced half the locker room knew.

  7. Has anyone seen the new RF Ric Flair interview which supposedly covers 2009-2013? Feinstein runs out of questions to cover his TNA run after about an hour, with the next 50 minutes filled with some of the most random stuff about Crockett Promotions. Not the best, was quite disappointed tbh.

Yeah i was pretty unimpressed to be honest, ironically it is one of the better interviews i have seen from Flair in terms of how he spoke, and the place he was in, he seemed quite content, only problem for me was the content wasn't very substantial. He seemed to quite like 99% of people at TNA, and treated his departure with a bit of a dismissive attitude. I did enjoy his comments on Jay Lethal though, said "he did Flair better than me", made we go back and watch some of there stuff, classic.
  8. Just had an e-mail alert from Kayfabe Commentaries about the new Timeline of '94 in the WWF with Sean Waltman.Been wanting a timeline from '93 or '94 for ages, so i shall get on it myself, it is available now i think, on WWN for streaming.

  9. Is it me or did Josh Matthews turn heel for about the last 10 minutes of Smackdown this week, he started ragging Cole about nut hugging Cena, saying "You are like JR was with Austin.......STONE COLD, STONE COLD" in a mocking voice.

Then closed the show by saying there will definitely be a new champion at Extreme Rules in Ryback.

Caught me on the hop as i've never known him voice an opinion of any note.

  10. Can you really be putting belts on Angle at this point, he basically has the body of somebody 20 years his elder, he is so broken down that for me it is painful to see him take bumps.

I respect the hell out of him, and don't get me wrong at the big show, when it matters, he is in the top 5 wrestlers i would rely on to give you an unbelievable match, but with him being so brittle these days i dunno about a title run.

Personally i'd like to see them put it back on Joe, and do the thing properly, have him smash a load of noddy's like Robbie E, Gunner and Crimson etc in no time, then build up to somebody that is credible.

  11. Did Richards win the match?

If so, it's fucking retarded that they did another spot. Pin him there and then and I don't think anyone would have complained.

Yeah Richards won, they went to the top rope and nearly slipped off a couple of times.

London went for the shooting star press, Davey got his knees up to the gut, then rolled him up for the pin.

I can't believe they went ahead with the shooting star, with London in that condition it's a miracle he executed it, and landed in the exact spot necessary aswel, kudos to him for that.

  12. I seriously cannot watch that double stomp anymore, it is sickening me, at the time it looked bad but seeing it a few times today, slowed down aswel, jesus christ.

Surely to god London was not down with that, he is 10+ year veteran, who has done some wild shit in the ring, but this is another level, it is by no means exaggerating to say that jumping up like that and stamping down can kill someone, hell you see it in newspapers all the time, a scrap on a saturday night, you kick somebody in the head you are playing with fire.

Accidents happen, i get that, but that was a stupid spot done by a stupid prick.

Davey Richards needs to wake up and realise this aint MMA, this aint a place to take out your aggression or a playground for your roid rage, jumped up little twat.

  13. Gutted Taz never got to buy his side-car :(

    Forgot about that

That was brilliant, saying to Tenay we need the 100,000 cos Bully Ray has promised me a sidecar so i can ride with him, "it will be orange and black with 13 on the side"

I couldn't get the image out of my head of little Taz tucked up in a sidecar, reminded me of Gareth in the episode of the Office when that butch bird takes him home.
