  1. So despite all the power a PS4 has, all I'm using it for these days is Pinball Arcade (Vita version too). For anyone who has the slightest in pinball, for me its the best game to get as close to playing the real tables. Its not perfect and much easier than real tables but still a hell of a lot of fun.

  2. You can see a mile away Nikki costing Brie her match against Stephanie, I read that WWE have been considering turning her heel so that ruins that. Be interesting to see how it goes down however.

Its as predictable then as your usual Tuesday postings on how everything is shit, yet you continue to watch.......

  3. Nah, you've got to love a French driver. They drive like they do on the roads. They don't give a fuck. Generally about 30 seconds from walloping someone, in or out of the car.

Good call though, Loki. Japanese drivers are also mental and therefore entertaining.

Favourite French driver of mine was Jean Alesi by a billion miles, he was absolutely mental and bloody quick when he was in the right mood. Plus Alesi and Gerhard Berger was a great duo as team mates, none of these girly Lewis handbag moments, proper men!

  4. I bloody love a bit of Martin. He joked about not expecting the hailstones in between the sessions.

And yeah, it's great to be here but I think it might be one of the hardest F1 weekends I've been to. Usually I don't even bother going to the practice unless I want to look around the circuit so the weekend's just Sat and Sun. But here it's a 4-day weekend because of the Friday Bank Holiday. We'll be going into Monaco tomorrow to walk the circuit as well as do other stuff. I'm knackered already!

I'd recommend going to Rascasse for a drink during your walk and also Stars and Bars.

  5. ...and it's confirmed that Corn Exchange will be showing the boxing live on the big screens on the Saturday night. Looks a decent place for a drink and a boogie too - having walked past it many a time on the way to the Wetherspoon's and with it being virtually next door to the Premier Inn I can't believe I haven't already been in there on one of my many Preston visits...

    Several pool tables upstairs too.

  6. Another good show on Friday, highlight was without doubt Danny's Rumble and title win. You could tell Joey would cash in but the moment was incredible and one of the loudest cheers I've seen at PCW. The wrecking ball was the best part of the rumble match too, fucking inspired! Paul London's 40 minute entrance somehow managed to top last years and the 'this guy', 'that guy', 'other guy', 'new guy' chants were awesome.

Have never seen or really heard of Prince Devitt before (don't follow stuff in Japan) and couldn't help being a little underwhelmed after all the talk about how amazing he is. His look is cool and he does some good moves and all but for me it just didn't seem like anything the PCW regulars don't already do themselves. Another showing against Travis next show might change my view though.

  7. Shall be heading up Friday for the show, I know the veterans on here will know the best locations to park and also eat as we want to get a bite before the show starts. Any suggestions?

Many go to the Wellington pub for beer and scran which is just round the corner from the venue. Fishers is also OK but can take a while for food to arrive. The 18" hot dog is well worth the challenge.

Plenty of parking options nearby, I tend to park at the car park on Avenham Street.

  8. What did people think about Far Cry 2, chucked it in after finding the controls far too difficult and fiddly, especially the driving etc. Is the 3rd much superior?

Hated Far Cry 2 but just cannot put my finger on exactly why, just didn't click with me at all.

Loved the third one though, might have been my favourite game of 2012 and I'm not really much of an FPS fan. Blood Dragon was an absolute hoot too.

  9. Talking of RPG's I just couldn't get in to Persona 4 Golden. It's boring as sin. I played it for 2 hours straight and at the end of those 2 hours I'd basically gone to school, slept repeat. I think there might be a good plot line in there somewhere but the game play was non existent.

I was the same. Everyone recommended it as the best game on the system, I gave it about 10-12 hours but just could not enjoy it. The story was ok but the occasional 1 hit deaths in combat where you could do nothing about it was infuriating, especially if you had to re-track from a long way back.

  10. Really fun episode of Raw and wasn't the usual by the numbers build show at this point before Mania.

Intrigued by the seeming face turn for The Shield, maybe a 3v3 against Kane and The Outlaws or maybe Reigns v Kane and Rollins / Ambrose v The Outlaws. If there was a split you'd have to put Reigns in the singles match to let him dominate someone 1v1 and build him even further.

Either winner of HHH / Bryan going into the title match adds a bit of unpredictability but can't see Bryan not winning it, even with a post match beat down. The end of Raw twatting of Bryan was done really well too.

The Cena / Wyatt build took a turn for the better and loved Bray's promo about the superhero.

Taker appeared after the show was over so maybe he will be on Smackdown this week.

  11. Cheers guys. Looks like I will be making my PCW debut soon :) I'm sure my wallet will regret me finding this out though!

What are they like for seating there. If you buy a GA ticket are you gauranteed a seat or is it best to get there early? Just that my Mrs has a few health issues and I'd prefer it if she didn't have to stand around for 4 hours!

Unless you go in as soon as the doors open there is no guarantee of a seat with GA as there are only a few bar stool seats that you can sit on and obviously these go quickly when people get inside. Otherwise its pretty much standing if you want a decent view of whats going on. All front and second row seats are sold out for the show on the 28th March too.

  12. KOTR 93 is back again, this time with what looks to be the results of a computer simulation I'd coded in BBC Basic.

Clearly influenced by Michael Wallstreet and Miss York then ;)

  13. Just watching In Your House 15 on the network and Scorpio taking the worst pedigree I've ever seen for putting a knee down and missing the bump itself by a good 18 inches. Apart from Kane who I've also seen do it was there anyone who did this with the pedigree?

  14. Great news via PCW twitter just now:

@PCW_UK: Thanks for all the messages of concern. Lionheart is his usual grumpy self so thats a good sign. He has movement in his arms and legs. 1/2

@PCW_UK: He is in the best place possible right now and all the PCW family are here to support him and hope he has a speedy recovery. 2/2

Considering what happened this is as good a news we could have hoped for given what happened. I saw exactly what happened and as soon as Lionheart landed you just knew it wasn't right. Really hope he has a good recovery from this.

Lionheart the character might be the most hated on the roster and he does a great job at making sure he is, however as a wrestler he is as good as anyone on the roster and its awful to see what happened to him.

Big props to the PCW crew for reacting as quickly as they did to the situation and also to Chris Hero for getting involved too, very professional from everyone.

As for the shows themselves it was as good as anything I've seen before, the tournament matches were great and pleased to see Masters win it, mainly as it means we get to see even more of him going forward.

Favourite match for me was the 'mixed' tag and the slow-mo section, Manson is just awesome isn't he.

Also good to meet some others from here for the first time, hope everyone else enjoyed it and had a safe journey home.

The only match negative I had was Team Super Indy Wank. I listened to Allan Blackstocks podcast interview with Stevie Knight who made the point one of the UK Indy scene's biggest problems of guys who don't have the look of a wrestler or are not in shape which was completely the case here. This team just looked like a pair of small skinny kids who thought one day they could be wrestlers, sorry but you look like crap and whilst endless Indy style kicks may 'sound' ok, it makes matches utterly shite. They were so bad they made Team Single the baby faces with the crowd. Also the promo after the match by the Ring of Honour team was garbage too.

Edit: forgot to add, Bubblegums interaction with the young girl in the crowd was absolutely priceless!

  15. Didn't they run short for time and drop the piss break match at the last Mania? Pretty sure the main event suffered for it

As soon as the HHH / Lesnar match finished I went for a piss expecting the Tons of Funk / Rhodes Scolars match to be on after that and before the main event. There was a bit of a rush to finish when Cena's music started half way through, seems like everyone else had the same idea.

  16. SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

Now their match at Mania 30 is sorted, has Undertaker ever beaten Brock before? I know they had a few previous PPV matches in 02-03 but think Brock won all of those. If so it could obviously be used as part of the story leading to their match.

  17. going to the RTG weekend for my first PCW show at the end of the month - coming up alone so if anyone is about for a pint on the Friday afternoon before everything gets going in the evening let me know

Wellington about 4.30pm onwards is where's best to meet, usually 20ish peeps in there. plenty of forumites as well

Isn't there some sort of rule about first timers and jagers?
