  1. Straight Outta Compton – Fucking brilliant. Obnoxiously energetic and at points, goosebump inducing. Probably the most entertaining biopic I’ve ever seen. The only thing that annoyed me is they made Eazy E look a cunt who had little or no career post NWA, and a few things which might have put Dr.Dre in a bad light are skipped over (Dee Barnes), but mother of all fuck, the energy that comes off the screen!

O’Shea Jackson Jr is frightening at points in nailing his oul lad, especially during the concert scenes. Everything from how he hunches his shoulders slightly to the tone of his voice.

And bravo to F.Gary Gray for the casting of Tupac. Fucking image of him. Absolute image of him!

I’m still buzzing after it. Bravo, all around.

I honestly don't give it a shit if the whole film is gash; as long as it rocks this as the theme tune, all is good in the motherfuckin' hood.

  2. My housemate and I watched the entire second series of Bojack Horseman in one sitting yesterday. It's brilliant and really unique in a way that's not trying too hard. The first handful of episodes had me in stitches (the chicken episode is a bit weird though).

Another thing I'll say for it is even though it's relatively simply drawn, the character design is fantastic, the animals all look amazing and the variety of species is crazy this season. The humans look cool too and have a lot of character.

I got through the whole thing in two sittings, and wished I hadn't, because I wanted mare.

It's a bit like if Archer wasn't a secret agent, but a washed up actor, and part horse. So basically awesome.

  3. So My Mrs is awfully sweet, generous and caring but she puts an awful amount of weight into what people think about her. She is a bit insecure that way.

She can tend to boast a little bit about stuff she's done. But she caught a new work colleague rolling her eyes at her last week when she was talking. More or less mocking her.

She was awfully hurt by it and the bigger problem is that my Mrs was the favourite amongst her colleagues until this new person started whom they all now love.

My Mrs is dreading work tomorrow, I've given her the usual generic pep talk but does anybody else have any advise ?

To be fair, I'm sure most people would roll their eyes when someone, as you yourself put it, was boasting.

Maybe let her know that she might be better off bringing up achievements in a more casual way.

'What did you do at the weekend RancidPunkx Mrs?'

'Oh, well, I just parachuted into Cambodia and adopted 5 kids'

    'Hahaha, really?'

    'Yeah, I did'

    'Well that's pretty cool'.

That, I am almost certain is how the conversation would go.

  4. They missed out by not making it rainbow coloured for a week, just like every straight person did on Facebook.

Speaking of which, this  (maybe NSFW, so feel free to edit or delete if need be)....

...is what I made my picture.  (I'm dead mature me).

Would've been quite good if they did it with the ropes like they do for cancer week.  Though that would mean having six ropes..

  5. It really is a tough one domestic violence.  It's a terrible thing, but one that can be proved neither one way nor the other  (unless there is evidence like CCTV, but there's not too many homes who rock that..).  I once had a girl pull a knife on me, I restrained her, I now have a criminal record because she had bruises.  Must be horrible for the police to deal with in that sense..

Obviously, if this is really a genuine case of domestic violence, then yeah, fuck him.

  6.

Bloody hell, Killer Instinct alone was about £60 when released wasn't it?  I'd also pay 20 quid just for Blast Corps.  That is some bargain right there.

Edit for crap quoting (I was on about the Rare Replay thing).

  7. I just watched John Favreau's Chef.

It was shocking, I'm genuinely surprised that it seems to be so acclaimed, it was dreadful- nothing more than a fat bastard's fantasies. I could tolerate the first bit but as soon as he went on his big adventure it started to get way too sickly, the sentimentality was so cloying and the last act was ridiculous for loads of reasons, it felt like a parody it was so stupid.

I actually really liked Chef; but can definitely see where you are coming from with your criticisms.  I reckon it's an excellent feel good film; but if you're not in the mood for such a thing, it would most definitely grate.

  8. I'm still nigh on in love with an ex four years later pat, and this time of year helps not a jot.  I'm not sure that will exactly help as such, more let you know that a lot of people go through it, and it is indeed fucking shit.
