I do! Although I'm not that massive on Sludge, I prefer Swedish Death Metal (Entombed, Grave etc.) and there is a fucking load of good stuff coming out of there that isn't going to be lighting up the pages of Metal Hammer anytime soon (Maim, Morbus Chron, Bastard Priest, Repugnant, Repuked). Also, Bonesaw. They're actually Scottish but they are probably my favourite of the last 10 years.I also put on gigs from time to time. In fact, the last thing I did was a fucking powerviolence night! Top marks for FSM. I've enjoyed it since I first picked it up last year, but there has definitely been a rapid increase in quality as of the past few months. I've really enjoyed the past few issues. The only reason I don't buy it more is because it's not locally available and I need to travel into Glasgow to get it. Power Slam is available in my local newsagents and that's the only reason I would choose to buy PS: because I can't find FSM, so if you can improve your distribution then I probably wouldn't bother buying Power Slam ever again, as I would just choose FSM.In fact, do FSM do the "newsagent reserves a copy" thing? If so, might choose to do that as I do it already with Zero Tolerance (another magazine which suffers from woeful distribution).

I played sevens with the Damnation crew, until very, very recently! Top blokes and probably the best festival going on in the UK at the moment. It's especially great if you're Scottish because the people who run it are Scottish and all their pals turn up pissed and cause absolute havoc. Leeds really does turn into a Scottish colony first weekend in November. Godflesh, Ulver and Doom will be absolute class though. Can't wait to see them.

Glad to see the word getting about. It shocks me that there's still people who haven't heard about it though. They deserve a good turnout, certainly.

When I was about 13, for a laugh, my friend pissed in someone's big bottle of blackcurrent juice and I had a shot. Problem was, I was bursting and just let rip with a massive slash and couldn't stop it. There was quite a lot of piss, maybe a Juice/Piss ratio of about 60/40. Guy drank it and never spoke to me ever again, thus losing quite a few of my best friends in the process.In the end, it forced to get new, less wasterish friends and as a result I met my missus, but still, not exactly my finest hour.
