Eh......this is where it becomes a bit tricky so you can't make sure it gets back to people.

So some of the lads in the rumble are getting the experience of working the show but six of them are Alex Shane's boys. Alex said that they all get a tenner but I've to pay Alex the £10. He said something about goes towards their armband.

    Don't worry, I'll keep schtum.

This is a massive can of worms because the narrative of events will be greatly debated.

For example, this past weekend i saw several people claim it began when Bravis Tanks was outed, saw somebody claim Progress 'listened to the fans and took immediate action' etc, if a Doc aired we would be in this sub pointing out all the inaccuracies.

Also, much like Dark side, you will get the talking heads who have no right or authority to appear but will because they want the spotlight (something that has already happened in SO).

BBC/ITV don't get Wrestling, how are they going to be able to do this justice?

A well researched (and non bias) book would be a better route.

On the subject of picketing, Rival promotions will see this as a chance to stir trouble, the fact that somebody clearly used the APPG to take a dig at Kamikaze kinda backs this up.

Probably the best post I have seen on the subject.

I think the only way to really affect a promotion with direct activism is by picketing outside the venue with clear signs and leaflets, to dissuade people from buying. But I don't know how effective that would be, not to mention some of the more shady ones won't have any scruples about beating picketers up.

Picketing an event will just stop people attending all wrestling shows. The general public won't know one promotion from another and a bad experience will just put them off from going again.

John is correct, everything he listed is from my old website, I do have a more complete record of 1993 if there is something specific that you are looking for ?

Sorry to butt in but I went to my first UK shows in 1993 at Fairfield Halls. The first was a Crabree show around June and the second was an All Star show in August.

I don't suppose you have the results?

  6. I attended this and recall Mr Lister in his Cornette garb.

I recall a Lanny Poffo book being on sale and remember watching the WCW/New Japan show along with Beach Blast 93.

If I recall, Nic Higton resided in Wallington and ran some form of "Fantasy Wrestling" league which ceased after he got money off people, including the person I went with. Did anyone ever find out what happened to him?

  7. Regarding being for sale, Prowrestling.net is now reporting that there is indeed a person who has serious interest in TNA. This person is described as someone fans would know and someone that may surprise us. The party who is interested in buying TNA reportedly has money behind them and was described as intelligent. TNA doesn't necessarily have a "for sale" sign up but they are listening to this potential buyer and others. There are also rumors that a major celebrity may be interested in purchasing TNA.

    LOL.
