I've always enjoyed attending Steve's "Rumble" shows. Great family entertainment.

Just bought the e-book version as I'll never get the paper copy out here. Good price point but I'd have liked to have seen a UKFF discount code offering a free chippy tea.

Yeah I've also purchased and was hoping for pie & peas and an entry into the "Book Buyers Battle Royal".

Didn’t realise Danny Collins was still going to be honest.

thought he mainly did stuff with that guy who phoned up Andy Quildan threatening him for saving the Liger deal (Matt Jarrett?).

why can’t you just work for Bagga instead of All Star if you prefer it.

I'm not sure he likes the sandwiches Bagga provides.

Your limited understanding is almost correct, dean an letitia are no longer together hence why Dean no longer works for allstar.

They lost Butlins years ago because of Tony Spitefire, an now no longer run Haven because of the same individual, I no James now runs Haven but I don’t get on with James so no work for me in the summer oh well.

From what most of the lads have been told they have brought Danny Collins so he can help Joseph get everything that was stolen of Brian, but no one stole anything other promoters went to venues and gave lads jobs that’s all.

Also we have been told that we can’t work now for certain promoters as AllStar is going to get everything back.

Be good if All Star got the camps back and also ran a decent hall schedule.

It's standard procedure for wrestling companies not to want wrestlers working for them and their competitors especially if they run the same areas.

Why I work for them I need the money simple a weeks works for doing fuck all.

    When will this company learn.

So are Danny Collins and Tony Spitfire looking to take over the running of All Star?

Do they still run any holiday camps?

I always heard it was a tough job working for All Star as it's a lot of travel and you all help with set up at the venues.

Is it bad that I don't believe he was even in rehab for 30 days? People always make those sorts of excuses to delay/avoid paying debts. Or they say a family member died or was in hospital.

    Nah. This is wrestling

You know how at a wedding they have a book that guests sign wishing the couple all the best?  Well something like that was passed around (possibly by his stepdaughter) so those chanting “Thank you Stephen clapclapclapclap” could write down how appreciative they were for all he did.

It’s some tinpot Russell Brand shit.

    Dear me.

    Ego, bordering on Messiah syndrome.

The first time I saw him in person was at the academy in Doncaster, when he randomly showed up during a training session. Instead of just slipping in and watching over everyone, his arrival was announced, and when he walked into the room, training was essentially put on hold while the younger trainees crowded round him, like his touch was going to cure their leprosy.

He was never going to just stay in the background and focus on the business. Remember the book of appreciation?

    What's "the book of appreciation"?

Wasn't there a previous incident where after Gauntley had sold the name and video library to Rodd, Gauntley started selling/monetising the videos again, and claimed that because he had a new company with the same initials, that he was entitled to? If that's not accurate, it was something equally bizarre.

I believe Gauntley has recently sold at least part of the video library.

“The rats are fleeing the ship”

Coming from a guy who’s already fled the boat once and then got back on

As mentioned there are a few that fit in that category.

If I get burnt in a business deal then I don't deal with that person/organisation again and I genuinely want to know why it's different in wrestling.

I don't know anyone that's met, trained, or worked with Al Snow who doesn't think he was an utter prick. Doubly so around women.

He's never been offered a guest trainer spot at the Performance Centre which shows what hire ups in the WWE think of his wrestling mind.

I don't think it's fair to point the finger at "the modern breed" when he had the likes of Greg Burridge, Ulf Hermann, Mark Haskins, Martin Stone and Doug Williams heavily featured in the comeback shows, all of whom have had plenty of experience with Gauntley.

Good point well made. Changed to:

"Regarding owing wrestlers money a lot of them seem to have the attitude that it won't happen to them and this was emphasised when the company was relaunched and people who had dealt with him previously or read the book warned them.

Even more surprising are the people who had previous experience with Mr Gauntley."

The amount of people burnt by him over the years it's incredible he's still going and people keep giving him money.

People don't or seem unwilling to learn from other people's dealings with Mr Gauntley.

I’ve updated the ITV wrestling site to add YouTube video links for a whole bunch of British stuff other than the main ITV slot.

http://itvwrestling.co.uk/post88.html has Jackie Pallo’s WAW, a taping from Scotland and the Transatlantic Wrestling Challenge.

http://itvwrestling.co.uk/other.html has near complete runs of Satellite Wrestling from Screensport and Reslo from S4C.

You've put some cracking stuff up on YouTube lately.

    Top stuff, John.

It's since been reported now that this wasn't agreed to and was in fact a "receipt" from the other guy who has admitted as much on his Facebook. Supposedly more wrestlers than fans at this too, something like 15 or so fans reported. What the fuck.

A receipt? Did he kill his family?

Anyone else planning on watching this?

First episode was released today. Think it'll take a while to warm to some of the characters and the relationships. But obviously being a wrestling fan it's interesting to see a drama from this perspective. A small town wrestling family in a modern world.

A good few inside references although sometimes it feels like they're quite on the nose with trying to explain things.

I'll stick with it. Starz stuff is usually pretty decent and some of the cast is alright. And Punk will be in it. By the end of the first episode they definitely set some interesting things in place.

I'd it broadcast in the UK?
