I had an amazing time at London Wrestlecon on Sunday! After what I read about Saturday I was a little worried but do feel those who attended on Sunday got the best deal in the end. I took a lot of items to get signed managed to get them all signed, I met everyone and left very satisfied. Can't wait to see my pictures with Bret & Shawn

To those going to London Wrestlecon this weekend (Feels odd saying that) or whoever staying at the hotel.. There will be a meet up as from 18:30 at the Wetherspoons next door on Friday.

 

A BMX rider does a little stunt show in the abandoned Pontiac Silverdome. Ugh, so sad to see that building, it's mental that we have abandoned ruins like that and are only 40 years old.

Sad to see the state it is in. NOW if I was Vince McMahon I would buy it and convert it into an arena for a particular PPV or heck just hold every show there.

 

PSI have released an extra 25 joint photo ops with Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels for both Saturday & Sunday.

Thank God I decided to get this when I did. A pic with my 2 all time favourite wrestlers is something to brag and boast about hehe

I won't be getting the Diana Hart combo only because I've met her previously out in the States. Had I not I would get the combo. Diana was very nice to talk to. 

 

I'm sure as you mentioned, some won't read the terms and conditions etc but hopefully that'll be kept to a minimum.

I'm getting it. I follow her and she follows me on Twitter and have interviewed her in the past too... So it will be nice to finally meet her in person

 

 

PSI Events have advised that General Admission tickets for London Wrestle Con General Saturday 20th June will sell out.

 

PSI have warned the following:

 

"If you don't have a ticket you will not get in!

 

If you have purchased autographs or photo op tickets but don't have a general admission ticket you still will NOT get in and tickets will NOT be refunded.

 

So please make sure you have general admission or SUPERTICKET to get into the event."

I'm sure more than one person will be ejected by having only bought combos! They just added a combo for £10 to get a picture and autograph with Diana Hart.

PSI have also advised that all combos on offer are Online Exclusives and will NOT be avaliable on the day.

 

I think if you can afford to buy in advance, do so as it saves you money and guarantees the opportunity to meet the guest.

 

I agree. BUT like I said I'm sure some wont and cause a scene on the day.. I hope I'm wrong but I see it happening for some reason. Are you getting a Diana Hart combo?

It's with regret we have to announce Jim 'Anvil' Neidhart has been pulled from London Wrestling Convention for personal reasons. We know Jim is disappointed and hopes to see his UK fans soon.

 

The Hart foundation photo op has now been cancelled. We have emailed all who purchased the photo op with option of a full refund or to use the ticket as a £20 voucher off any available guest on the day.

 

We WILL replace Jim in the superticket and will be able to announce that guest shortly.

It's a Hall of Famer apparently, and it's not Okerlund, DiBiase or Duggan either. As it's a superticket guest, i imagine its not going to be a headliner level guy. So that at least narrows it down some.

 

 

Indeed. Some have suggested Austin, Edge & Flair and they're either having a laugh or just simply deluded if they think one of those names will be on the superticket.

 

Roddy Piper, Jimmy Hart, Jake Roberts, Koko B Ware, Greg Valentine, Madusa, Scott Hall, Larry Zbyszko, Dusty Rhodes, Road Warrior Animal, Iron Sheik were all suggestions as well that PSI discounted as well.

 

As long as it's worth it, I'm not complaining. Let's hope they reveal tomorrow rather than Sunday as the suspense is KILLING me! LOL.

Yeah specific Photo Ops e.g Nation, Team Bestie, Headliners etc will be given specific time slots and will be announced closer to the date. I noticed this was the response when someone asked on their Facebook page.

Oh for sure! I'm travelling from Gibraltar just for the convention so imagine paying for all these + hotel, flights etc.

Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. Make that 26 now. I havent got the World of Sport combo though.. I really do feel as much of a contribution they made to the UK scene they could have added 5 more legends like Jimmy Hart etc.

I've got a mixture.

I've got a MOC LJN for Bret to sign, plus an AFA graded MOC LJN for Jim to sign, along with a MOC Hasbro Jim and an 8x10 promo photo of Hart Foundation for both to sign. Hart Foundation are my favourites, I have a huge Bret collection, and have met him twice - but never met Jim.

 

Demolition, I have a MOC LJN and MOC Hasbro for Ax to sign, a MOC Hasbro for Smash to sign and then an 8x10 Demolition promo photo for both to sign.

 

Papa Shango, Nasty Boys, Mountie, Tatanka and Typhoon, I have a MOC Hasbro and an 8x10 promo photo for all of them.

 

I've got a ticket for the Bret/Shawn photo op but no Autograph for Shawn, so I might miss that one.

 

Maybe a Lita photo/Autograph - and that's me done.

I'm very much an 8x10 person myself and usually stick to that unless I've got a special or quirky item I want signed. If I've met a guest many times I might get a previous picture of me and them blown up to an 8x10 and get that signed.

 

So far I have 8x10 ready for JR, Trish Stratus, Ashley Massaro, Jacqueline and Godfather. Gotta get a few more between now and then.

I'm staying at the venue and I'll probably get DVD's for a few and 8x10's for the others. Really looking forward!! 3 months to go..

Stephen passing was a very sad day for the company. I also loved his road stories. He said once Kennedy got drunk and abusive in a hotel and wanted to fight a fan and Benoit dragged him off and put him to bed. Flair was very cocky and unlikeable according to Stephen. He disliked him so much despite having tickets for his hall of fame induction he didn't go. Cena is super cool apparently and can drink a shit load of Jack Daniels. My favourite story he told me was that he was in the allocated wwe hotel and heard a lot of noise in the hall. When he opened the door he seen an attractive young female fan in full goldust attire. Go Dustin!

Yeah I remember him telling me how great Cena is and very humble too. Top lad he was, I miss him quite alot. What's the Tagged Classic everyone wanted to see get released more than any other? For me it was In Your House 9 & 10. I distinctly remember in 2007 we hadnt seen any IYH releases in a while and then all of a sudden 3 & 4, 5 & 6 etc all came out within months of each other. 11 & 12 I remember getting on the same day as FIFA 08 when I was back home from University for a week.
