  1. Spoiler

What I love is that WhatCulture are reporting Tony K was wearing a neck brace throughout Rampage and made me laugh my ass off that the mad fucker might actually wear the brace for the NFL draft this week

Not Dynamite related but I'm throwing this in here because it's the thread that gets the most eyes, Nyla Rose is brilliant and fuck this shit.

Walker Stewart has put up a detailed first hand account of the OSAC worth a read too. Bunch of twats

This seems insane given that the range of AEW shirts you could get on PWT was absolutely massive at one point. Is that part of the problem though, allowing all these guys to sort their own shit? It's consistently a massive missed opportunity, although from the pics I've seen, they appear to have one shirt for every member of the crowd last night.

We went to an NXT show in Sheffield a few years ago and our kid was excited to get some shirts. The merch offering was dreadful. And it was still better than that.

Is it that AEWShop is all P.O.D stuff, it's woeful though that they just don't constantly keep a strong supply of latest and biggest selling shirts always on the road. The AEW logo isn't even the same anymore based on that display

Is a wank, a wank, in America?

I'd also say the Rock and Cody stealing the show and marginalising Roman is partly down to them being present. Roman hasnt looked arsed for months and his university social club hoodies are shit.

No it isn't its a British thing which the Aussies have taken as well.

The yanks just use jerk off don't they. Which is far less superior then calling someone a wanker

    Explain.

I mean if you didn't watch or find NJPW or the Indie scene your first time seeing him would have been on NXT yet he had been wrestling at a good level for nearly a decade.

I know despite being around here a long time I hadn't see devitt until he was doing his farewell UK stuff

  6. I think it as people have said above exposure and relevancy is everything.

As noted take a Bossman, Earthquake etc I think that golden era of large characters and gimmicks is what killed these guys careers longevity

There's a few 'indy' guys who I considered the future of wrestling now like Kenny Omega, Finn Balor who yes have been around some time but not seen by the masses

Then you get Bryan Danielson had a tough/lon career, hard hitting style and stopping full time this year ar 42 and seen an icon and AJ Styles who is 47 still believes in flat earth but seems to have been on national TV forever

No gimmicks just doing what they do

I always knew it in the back of my head, but my god Dynamite looked so much better in that Pac/Omega match!

I really enjoy watching dynamite now but something about this early look, the wrestlers and everything feels so fresher with this look

Maybe it's the white lights and how bright it all looks

Really hammers home just how lucky we were as fans and how lucky Sting was that he got a beautiful send off and a great match to go with it. Looking at that list there, most of them are awful last matches. Inconsequential with no fanfare, taking place at county fairs or as a throwaway body in a rumble.
It's no surprise wrestlers don't often stay retired because if my last match was against IAmTHEPROVIDER I'd be back between those ropes ASAP.

Hammers home too that we haven't got many people left the calibre of sting that will get this same treatment especially those who's 'prime'was in the late 90s too

  9. I've not seen a bump like darbys where I've openly gast with shock with how it shattered etc. Stunned me

I only saw the main event but I'll be watching the rest in the coming days and not to rush it

Selective quoting to dismiss legitimate criticism is one of the most frustrating things in the AEW threads. By all means disagree with me, but heck, at least disagree with the point I’m actually making. I appreciate that may not have been your intention.

But if my point wasn’t clear, it’s that I think AEW is better when it has a long term direction. I’m referencing WWE because the promotion feels hot and is performing in front of sell-out crowds. There are clear long-term directions for the big characters, which obviously helps. When AEW was red hot, that’s the exact approach it was taking. Right now, far too many wrestlers I care about are spinning their wheels with no obvious end game. Changing that, I imagine, wouldn’t ruin your viewing experience, but it would certainly improve mine.

This exactly. WWE were obviously trying to get into the betting game which clearly fixes in shows and gives solidarity to the shows

AEW was a much better product as such too. I'm totally of the agreement my enjoyment of the product would improve

  11. I've always loved the B.O.D entrance where Kane's Pyro goes off triggering off Rollin' They done this first around Backlash 2001 and did it on and off before moving to Kane and Taker coming in together with the joint theme which looses something for me. This style full marks

Cody at WM38 is always one of these entrances that will stick with me for a true surreal moment

I always love this too, not an entrance as such but so overshadowed by Brawl Out

  12. Growing up I went to the annual wwe tours from 02-05 as the wrestlemania revenge tour used to come through and as it was near my birthday was a guaranteed easy thing for family to club together for.

I then went to sporadic wwe shows when they came over and I earnt my own money.

As britwres took off every event I went too was southside as it was on my doorstep and for about a tenner it was a no brainer and pretty much stopped going to wwe during this time

I'm fortunate that my dad lives nr chicago so I've been able to do a handful of aew shows too

My only US WWE event was wargames 2019 again in chicago, being a big trading card collector gives me a long term chase to get event autos and relics from different sets

Zack alluded to wanting to wrestle Danielson in Arena Mexico after the Hechicero match.

I guess would explain somewhat if the CMLL relationship may have stemmed from if this is the route. I would like to see it at All In personally although is it tough to do this kind of match in a stadium?

  14. There's something very intriguing about an Okada in WWE, I'd be really interested to see Cody/Okada, Reigns/Okada, Logan/Okada, Miz/Okada plus imagine an Okada Wrestlemania entrance

Is there anywhere to see old catalogues? I know there's a LOT of random crap on the Internet. Would be nice to see them!

I picked some up off ebay a little while ago just to browse through. Happy to scan one over to you

But she firmly acknowledges that she's the problem, it's her.

It's all good she's best buds with JJ so she'll come in and give someone a guitar shot if she's in town anyway

I've just used my presale link to check out the prices and I'm quite disappointed, to be honest. It looks like after the huge success of this years event they're trying to rinse the fanbase and see how far they can push prices.

My seats this year were also ÂŁ196. The exact same seats are ÂŁ360 now. But at least you get a commemorative lanyard with that!

I had to do a few searches but managed for find some Level 1 seats for £80 each looked ok via View from my Seat but will see where things are nearer the time
