  1. Lots of people have been excellent at pointing out the problems here, so don't need to say too much. But to make it even simpler: would the women in NXT have broken out the NXT pack without the great singles matches? No. They haven't had one here, the results will not be the same no matter what.

Crying on Twitter as if the fans owe you a great reaction fucks me off too. Especially Paige, who hasn't done anything as good as the Charlotte/Sasha/Bailey/Becky matches yet.

Well said mate. The issue to me isn't that they were chanting, it was partly what they were chanting. "We are awesome" is the most pathetically cringe-worthy thing to chant as a fan. The "Boring" chant was just a vent of frustration.

The idea of having this Diva Revolution come about did turn heads but you can't just unlearn so many years of being used to the way things used to be without having something special happen. 3 new faces have appeared t shake it up, what looked initially as a way to make the others step up is actually just allowing the new faces to get watered down. It's a shame.

And Paige can fuck off. She is the biggest guilty party of the lot. Started well, it was different to what was about, then she turned shit, then she had the opportunity of a new lease of life with this revolution, she hasn't capitalised on it, and now she complains that the fans don't respect her for doing fuck all.

  2. I feel at the moment I really am not giving BritWres any love whatsoever and I think I need to kick this waning habit. At the minute I am enjoying the Network and enjoyed LU but that is my limit currently.

Could anyone suggest an easily accessible (DVD/Net) company out there at the minute that should be relatively easy to fall into, i.e. mayeb watch the last couple of shows and get to grips?

I appreciate that this is an exceptionally vague question but as I am in a bit of a rut at the moment, I am just looking to get involved with something so I am not just watching the Network most nights.

    Cheers all.

  3. I absolutely loved Warlord. His mini feud with Bulldog was ace (could just be through rose-tinted glasses though), but I loved it. He was one of the nicest blokes ever when I met him too which only strengthened how much I thought he was class.

Whenever I play an old mod on TEW, I always push him to the moon! Possibly my favourite big guy.

  4. Suppose it counts as minor news..

WWE has fired longtime Executive Vice President of Content Lisa Fox Lee, who has been with the company since 1995.

Not sure why she has been given the boot and the wording of being "fired" as opposed to somethign along the lines of being made redundant etc. Anyway for source it is on the MLW twitter: @MLW.

Quick edit: She was working with Shane O' for a looong time back in the day. Recently (January) she was promoted to her most recent role (as above) and reporting directly to Vince.

  5. I have problems with it in general in terms of freezing/buffering on a range of platforms. My internet speed is well over 20mbps so I know it isn't that. I heard before that they have a limit on the download/streaming speed but I am unsure how that could be the issue as surely they wouldn't make the limit lower than a fluid speed.

Also been getting a 'Fatal Error' on PS3 every now and then when I select a certain series.

None of these are continuous issues (the freezing is a bit annoying though), but can creep up from time to time.

  6. Im enjoying him in underground.

I need to change the record like

Not at all, he is a key player in a breath of fresh air promotion. The way angles have been done (as has been said), are working tremendously well for him. It's great to see.

Just reading this list of toughest wrestlers of all time BNB is on the list and it goes into his bare knuckle boxing days. Now its says he had a 12 inch scar on his right arm from being attacked with a knife after a fight. But im sure the scar on his arm is from when he broke it on RAW. Has the writer got this wrong http://www.thesportster.com/wrestling/top-15-legitimately-toughest-wrestlers-of-all-time/?view=all

I don't see Bad News Brown anywhere on that list.

  7.

After asking in the pinned questions thread, I have finally seen the first three episodes of Lucha Underground, on number four now. Absolutely bloody love it, can't get enough of it. What is the general consensus on here?

Were you only 3 in when we spoke last night?

You must have hammered it. Im up to mid/late Dec.

Its an incredibly fun show. Just really fresh.

Will be completely up to date by the end of tonight mate. On January 7th episode now, I think they competed directly with RAW this week so wondering if it was a random two hour special perhaps or just two episodes.

  8. Just watched a match from RAW (episode 46), a great little bout between Shawn Michaels and a guy called Brian Walsh, he (Walsh) was actually pretty decent in this, very decent in fact. Apparently he was a regular 'local' on RAW and Superstars but only had 23 matches in his career according to profightdb.com. Based on this performance, it makes me wonder why he wasn't utilised much more than this, as it isn't even just a case of HBK making him look good either.

  9. Just an update on Rajah:

They are saying that "TNA tried playing hardball in hopes of landing a good TV deal and somebody at Viacom leaked the news to "call their bluff" and essentially put TNA in checkmate."

I like the Russo story better though.

For what it's worth, on Rajah, it also states that if WWE did fancy the tape library "The going rate for tape libraries is approximately $500 per hour of footage. TNA has approximately 1,000 hours of Impact Wrestling footage, so an offer of $500,000 is what they would likely receive."

Chances are TNA will go back to Spike, cap in hand, and take what they can get.

  10. Huh, I suppose I have never thought of wrestling (as in mainstream wrestling) being considered as a show no-one would want to take on, given purely the numbers. It makes sense though I suppose considering the whole saga with WCW and the low price WWE got in their negotiations.

Having said that, it would still be a bit of a gamble that Spike would be making, risking that with the thought of "no-one will want it so we will sack the show off and get it back for cheap", they mustn't be too fussed about it in the first place if they are happy to play such games. Though that is already proven given their lack of promotional work for the TV show apparently.

  11. Is that not an insanely big risk to take though? It is a good tactic if Spike are the only party to be interested but all this does is leave TNA wide open for other TV Networks to agree a deal.

TNA will now be cut-price and a show that does pull a constant 1m+ (going by Firebrands figures there, I don't know myself) viewers will surely turn a few heads.

If that is the tactic of Spike and they actually want TNA, they could be cutting their nose off spite their face as all they are doing is advertising the fact that TNA TV will be going for cheap. They will have to be exceptionally confident that they can complete the purchase before anyone else even begins to sniff around.

  12. Cesaro vs Zayn was one of the best matches I have seen in quite a while (haven't seen the shield vs Wyatts yet) absolutely superb. In my personal opinion it was better than the 2/3 falls match because it was a perfect end, exceptionally done.

Mojo match was the shits and that moon lad is cack. I suppose they needed it to cool everyone down from the opener. It worked, no interest in either.

Tag match was quality, I would only echo what everyone else has said. I agreed with the commentators statement of the Ascension being somewhat reminiscent of LoD.

Women's match seemed to start a little 'diva-ish' but only briefly then it picked up well. The only wwe produced women's match I think I have raised my eyebrows too. Submission finisher was quality.

Bulgarian fella is going to be a menace, enjoy a good obliteration.

The main event, in my opinion, was a bit lackluster. Was alright but nothing fancy. It's weird hearing nevilles accent on a wwe produced show thoigh and the mention of geordies was superb.

Overall, really impressed, and I will continue to watch NXT from it so it has served purpose.
