I can actually see under dog Tana winning the title tomorrow. Okada is still crazy young and if he breaks Tanas record then he’s literally achieved everything there is to do. 

 

If Tanahashi prevents Okada from breaking his record then there is still something for Okada to strive for years from now and a story to be told.

Hi guys, I'm working on a bit of a project centred around the wrestling scene of the 90's. Is there any way I can access a whole bunch of shoot interviews without paying for them individually? Do you know if RF video does a subscription service or if people sell digital collections or anything like that?Also if anyone could link me to that old 'sleaze thread' I would be very grateful.

Go to Osaka in June and you can catch Dominion. I might be a little biased since I live here but I’d say there’s actually way more of interest to see and do in this part of Japan. 

Togi Makabe and Tanahashi have been making their usual appearances on the Japanese “Loose Women” / “This Morning” type programs so the main stream hype is certainly present. 

Definitely signing up to their patron, I've really missed those guys!

I really enjoyed ring of hell. It's pretty bleak and nihilistic and literally paints everyone from Benoit, to Vince to Hunter to Eddie to all of Japan as pathetic bullying scum bags but if you can look past that and take it all with a pinch of salt it's quite a page turner. 

Sadly Liam, I specifically remember the conclusion to the lengthy chapter on Brian Pillman summing him up as "The worlds greatest fuck up artist who had everything in the palm of his hand and threw it all away " I would wager you take a slightly more reasoned and balanced view on the man.

I kinda look as it as a fictional take on real events. Like if AMC or HBO decided to make their own interpretation of what really happened. Even though the portrayal of people's personalities is most likely purely assumed by the writer the actual facts and dates are all correct so that counts for something. 

I'm pretty sure Omega is signed with NJPW right through to 2019. Here's hoping he stays there long after.

Mass Effect is a good choice, what about Bioshock? Quite free-spirited like Deus Ex, a bit cerebral too.

Bioshock is awsome, I borrowed that from a mate and played it continuously for a week till it was completed. Only down side was the slightly repetative game play, the look and feel was superb. (I see they're making a movie of it now) I might have to give mass effect a go, I prefer first person to thrid person games but i'll trust the recomendation. Any other suggestions?

Okay guys I need some recomendations. Being at the very cutting edge of the gaming industry I've just discovered Deus Ex and absolutely love it. I've completed it now and was totally addicted to the open ended game play and futuristic / post apocalyptic setting. I'm now rocking an X-box 360 and was wondering if any of you out there could recomend a similar FPS / RPG typle title.

It had really amusing parody articles on it like "John Cena booed out of family meal", "Dusty Rhodes Resume" and "Goldbergs real WWE contract" I don't think it's being updated anymore but it'd be fun to have a chuckle over at work.

Okay guys quick question but one that has been driving me nuts like a steering wheel in the pants!I'm a huge mark for Great Muta and am realy interested in following NJPW, AJPW and Hustle but haven't a scoobies as to where I can find any footage or buy DVDs. Any suggestions?

That makes this whole thing all the more tragic. His brain mirroring an 85-year old Alzheimers sufferer's just shows the kind of damage pro wrestling can cause. Don't think its something I want to have any more interest in to be honest.

That's the effect that wrestling 'Benoit style' for 20 years will have on the brain. This has to be about as extreme a case as you can possibly get. It's a bit melodramatic to say that you don't want to have any interest in wrestling anymore having seen this as if it happens to everyone who ever steps in the ring. Think how OTT Benoit pushed himself, you would almost have to litterally go out of your way to end up with results like that.

Was I the only person on here who's childhood was completely traumatised by the sounds an images from this advert? I'm pretty sure I had to sleep with a night light till I was about 12 through fear of the smoking man getting me!

I love that line, it still gives me chills when I hear it. This is a perfect example of how even when someone is lumbered with an awful gimmik they can get themselves over if they have the raw passion, emotion and charisma that the Dream has in spades.
