    Kung Fu Dunk

Jay Chou plays an orphan raised in a kung fu school, but kicked out by the corrupt headmaster after fighting with a bunch of thugs in the employ of a nefarious villain. He happens upon down-on-his-luck trickster Eric Tsang, who immediately sees cash potential in the youngster's skills. Basketball is the chosen avenue for riches, and Tsang bids to get him a spot on a University team and to promote him in the media. General success leads to a basketball championship and a really nasty rival team managed by the same nefarious villain of before.

Looking for to this, im a fan of Jay Chou and Charlene Choi who both star in this movie and its based on the Japanese manga Slam dunk i believe.

Im looking foward to all the asian film releases this year as im a huge asian cinema fan.

  2. Saiyuuki Monkey Magic the movie on dvd, great great Japanese film, i have the 11 part tv series as well which was released in 2006 and Shingo Katori is excellent as the crazyyet good hearted Son Goku character who along with a couple of other demons and the beautiful and caring Priest, has to go on a Journey to the west to collect scripturesfor the world, the cgi in the film is quite excellent and the acting and story very good.Great movie.

  3. korean movie Bloody Reunion.Good movie which is a story about a group of young adults travelling back to their old school grounds to meet the teacher they grew up with but as they do, a series of old grudges and feelings come up when they all remember the abuse she gave to them as children and how cruel she was. One by one they get brutally slaughtered by a mysterious guy who in one horrible scene pins the eyes of one of the guys eye lids down, holds his mouth open with rusty pliers then poors down his mouth a ton of rusty nails, some pins then boiled water which is quite graphic..Very violent but has a really strong story behind it to, with a HUGE and shocking twist at the end i never saw coming!Hong Kong film Yu Huns Trainbeautiful film with Gong Li about a woman who is in love with a poet but ends up having an affair with a docter because of theway he acted and how he changed towards her, but she relised the mistake and wasent at all comfertable with the manshe was seeing and eventually was going to go back to the poet.Very nice movie, very passionate and a lot of incredibly scenerayis used in this which is really beautiful to watch.

  4. I really have to try and see I am Legend, it looks and sounds a fantastic film.Iv been watching on dvd a lot of J drama and Korean drama, last night i saw Bewitched in Tokyo show 8, Hana Kimi show 10, Witch Yuhee show 2 and Saiyukki show 10. 4 hours of great asian drama, cant be beat! Also watched muppets christmas carol with micheal caine and i love it, he does a great job as the miserable old scrooge and acting serious around all the crazy Muppets around him.

  5. Japanese tv drama For you in Full Blossom and Korean Drama Damo. Great shows which surpass anything we have currently on tv at them oment in england, both different but tell a great story, Full blossom being a story about a girl who lives in high school with some guys who she has a thing for, its based on an anime i think and Damo is a story about a woman who is a tea lady but also an undercover police officer investigating crimes of Counterfeiting.

  6. Korean martial arts film The City of Violence starring my faverate Korean actor whos name i can never remember but i know his work from many movies and is a very good martial arts star from Korea. It tells a story of a policeman from another city coming back to his old hometown to visit his friends and to the funeral of one of his long time friends who was murdered by a gang of thugs.A lot of wild scenes in this with great fight sequances, some good acting and some really odd moments involving a bunch of break dancers surrounding the main character after attacking him then as he battles them, a bunch of school girls swinging chains, school boys, a baseball squad and some other thugs swarm the joint chasing him through the streets which was REALLY cool. Great film but a tad short.

  7. Japanese Horror Hellavator, fantastic, original Japanese horror film with a host of weird and odd characters and some genuinly creepy moments, involving weird characters from a school girl to maniacal deformed prisoners. Also watched Efen Lied, Brutal yet brilliant, Japanese anime about a girl Nyu who is being hunted down by the military and such after going on a killing spree of sickening proportions.Noone is safe in this, even innocent kids are brutally hacked to pieces.Very powerful but very well done story.

  8. donnie Yens Dragon tiger gate, based on a hong kong manga.Fantastic film about 2 brothers who are seperated from each other and both leading different lives. The fight sequances in this movie are awesome, espicially the one inthe restaraunt and at the dragon gate martial arts school with the old man and masked guy.The CGI is really well done in the film to. Excellent movie.

  9. Korean Films Typhoon (excellent thriller which has a solid story about a young brother and sister who lose contact after their parents are murdered,he becomes a cold blooded terrrorist to get revenge on the south who commited the murders to his family.Quite a sad story with him and his sister who do reunite eventually) and The Duelist (the main actress is gorgeous.Apart from the one solid sword fight sequance in the dark, this was a hiuge disapointment).

  10. a couple of films from me as i currently live in japan..Dororo,newly released dvd here in japan, which is a fantasy samurai film about a young thief who travels andbefriends a woman on his way, cant understand the story fully, as i havent read the manga its based on but its fantastic and some of the CGI is brilliant, amazing stuff!Monkey Magic (2007),im not sure the title of this either, but its based on the wonderful cult japanese tv show of the 70s and 80swhich is a story about a travelling priest tripitaka and her group of followers, monkey the main character, pigsy and sandy, it has amazing cgi effects, great fun to watch but you just cant beat the original actors who were truly wonderful in their roles in the original show, its a nice movie butits not the same really.

  11. Thai Super Hero movie Mercury Man.Pretty decent superhero movie from Thailand about a firefighter who is critized at his work for the reason that he wants to help others as best he can rather then being a team player with his team.He gets assaulted and ends up with some kind of mercury into his blood, turning him into a kickass superhero Mercury man.The CGI is pretty cool, the fight scene with the fire is unbelievably good and its almost a bit of a parody of Spiderman with the spinning newspapers whenever he saves people.A fun film and its made from the people by ong bak so obviouisly the action is fantastic! Great movie.

  12. Im not sure where to post this but ill ask here if its ok,Id like to become a paid member in the future when i can, but i dont use paypal so is there another way to do that or is it the only way?It would be nice to contribute a little if i can to the forums more. Thanks very much :).

  13. Its been 2 days now and it still hasent sunk in.So many new and different things keep coming out and its just utterly comfusing.Simply put its just a total tragedy, and i hate to say this, but no matter what comes out or the problems both he and Nancy had, there is just no way in hell anyone can forgive Chris for killing her and espicially his innocent young boy Daniel, who i feel sorry and sad for the most.If Chris wanted to kill himself,he should have done it by himself. He is a coward and a selfish man and i and other people just cant find any way to defend him anymore. He killed a woman and a child, plain and simple.

  14. I dont believe chris did it.He was always spoken of highley by his peers and people around him,he always seemed a giving and genuine man with a passion for wrestling, his fans and most of all for his family, its incredible that many have turned on him already when nothing has been prooved to be true.I dont think he did it at all,but something happened. There was something very wrong when he was called back home for the family emergancy,so obvioulsy there was a problem before he was even back at home. Its horrifying to think about what happened.

  15. Im stunned, well and truly stunned..I woke up hoping to read the latest episode of WWE raw online (i dont watch much WWE these days, apart from Chris benoits matches, hense my username) and i found out that Chris and his family have passed on..I cant believe it at all but sadly..its true.Chris and his family are gone. One of the reasons i still continue to watch WWE,iv been a massive Benoit fan for a long time, and he could always make a bad show better when he does his stuff inside the ring.He always seemed one of the more likeable, well respected and down to earth guys, willing to help and put over others. The wrestling world has lost a true great, and right now,i dont care what happened, all i know is a good man and a loving family have passed away, its so tragic. The saddest thing of all is that his young boy has gone to..Chris and Nancy and his young son..its just..its just terrible. We never knew him or his family, but its impossible not to feel hurt by this.He and his family will be missed by everyone who knew them and by us fans.

  16. Great stuff! Im quite surprised i couldnt find another WCW mistake in a tag team match in maybe 1998-1999 period featuring scott steiner and jeff jarret against hulk hogan and Sid. A dull match, hogan was about to go for the legdrop when all of a sudden, his own tag partner sid delivers one of the worst chokeslams in the world to hogan. Not only that, but Sid covered his own partner, and the ref counted one two three so if i remember, the winner of the match was announced as Sid and hilk Hogan...

  17. Japanese film MarieboGood horror film by the director of the grudge with guy who discoversan underworld which he finds a beautiful girl whom is not quite normal. As the story goes on more grisley things happen ending up with murderand a lot of disturbing scenes. Great movie, highley enjoyable, andanother classic horror from Japan.

  18. Japanese Film InfectionAbout a group of docters who cover up an operation that went terribly wrong. Some very creepy and disturbing scenes, great acting, genuinly scareyat times, im a lover of all things asian and Japanese, J films are the greatesthorror movies you could ever see, none of that blood and guts garbage fromamerica these days, its psyhalogical horror which is the best kind.Fantastic film, will be watching Chinese horror film Dumplings soon.

  19. Battle Royal is a magnificant movie, im sure youll enjoy it, its not all about sensless violence, it actually has a solid story behind it, cant belive the yanks are remaking it dammit. Watched Into the Mirror, Korean Horror movie recently, pretty cool film and has a great if predictiable twist at the end, Asian movies cannot be beat.

  20. The DVDs you have, are they the dubbed American episodes? I was interested to try that but after 198 episodes of subtitles and the characters sounding a certain way I'm not sure I could handle irritating American voice acting.

Iv got the UK dvds and some japanese version dvds of Naruto, Naturally i only ever watch itwith the japanese language and english subtitles because in every japanese or asian anime, film ect,the dubbing is of the most awful quality so i prefer to watch in the original language and the subs.Love the show and have just watched the 5 episode with Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke on their travels, protecting a guy from any attacker, loved the scene with Naruto stabbing himself with the knifeand going completley insane after :). Such a funny show, everyone has to see this!
